I think it depends on what you have to do for the day and how much money you have available to gamble when deciding how long you should gambler during the day. Therefore, there isn't a fixed length of time, as it will always vary accordingly to the daily schedule. I have an eye condition that restricts me for longe use of mobile device and TV. This limited screen time is my limit for gambling as I can’t continue gambling since my eyes is starting to hurt a lot if I continue looking on my screen.

But during my normal eye condition I do have strict time limit on my gambling session since I’m getting board on games if I play continuously.

4° Take a pause between the bet session. Depends in your quality, but every 1-2 hours make a pause where you "breath again", take a look of the previously betting session, drink water etc....

Time is very important in any things that we are going to make.
Its like other things like... "money" that you must take care of. I would say just another form for giving value to something.

So, I gamble during these times, as it won't interfere with my productive time, whether it is for work or family. I can't determine how many hours I will spend gambling, but I only gamble in one session with the money I have set aside. When it is run out, I stop, or when the money has doubled (or more) my bankroll, I stop.

Essentially, we all have our own preferences when it comes to gambling, but the wisest approach is to prioritize productive time over gambling. So, gamble only during your free time, and stick to gambling with money you can afford to lose.

I think what usually happens to other gamblers is that once they experience a losing or winning streak, they'll allocate even more time to either win back their losses or profit even more; as a result, they'll lose track of time, and before they know it, they've been gambling for 5 or 6 hours.  
As someone with a very small bankroll, 1 hour duration of gambling wether that would be on slots or whatever game, is even a bit long for my taste.
Most of the time, it only takes me a max. of just 30 minutes to burn through my little bankroll. If there are wins within that short timeframe, I still choose to stop, and would just continue the next day.
Gambling for me is just a bit of entertainment, meant to be a fun experience, and not something I'd be wasting my precious time with.

Well I still wonder why people keep saying gambling is for fun and entertainment, and ask myself what is there to entertain when you are losing money. Entertainment makes you derive pleasure in what you do. But how does gambling makes you derive joy when your level of loses are more. Gambling is a game of try your luck while losing and hopping for possible miracle. There is no gambler without an expectation to win huge despite they claim to

Time is not the ultimate because you might even spend more money in that one hour interval. 1 hour Time does not mean you are spending less. With 1 hour time, you might even spend more. I prefer you make provision of the amount you want to gamble with and after that is gone then you quit. Maybe with $30 you can know how to use it with your time. If you like gamble with it for 24 hours, it is your business and not mine but it is still better than when you gamble without a specific amount but hopes to reach 1 hour.

I also concur with both of you that time discipline is among the top rules in gambling. As Queen uloma said, gambling is not to provide any solution to financial troubles but rather an entertainment. Once it is regarded as a means of revenue or then an attempt is made to reclaim loss, it is dangerous and difficult to manage. I also enjoy the concept of gambling at leisure time to avoid any interference with work and family life. Being able to set up a bankroll and quit when it runs out, or when profit goals are achieved, is self control. Finally, the ability to know when to quit is what makes a good gambler wise.

In this case , you may lose control over yourself and become more aggressive. Then you will face a lot of losses in a short time. Therefore, instead of setting a time limit, you should set a budget limit for yourself. If you are going to treatment  in the future, you will be able to look at the mobile or computer screen for a long time. Then you can keep betting for a long time if you want. Considering this aspect, your current time limit is not very strong. If you want to be financially strong in gambling, you should fix the budget.

From these factors like angry, broke or stressed, I believe and agree that it is not nice to go betting when you are not in the right mood because you are likely going to take wrong decision because of the emotional imbalance but most gamblers believe that when you are broke is the time you can even try your luck better like he who is down fears no fall. Honestly speaking, I dont have specific fixed time limit for gambling as it will always based on spare time when I start my gambling session. The most important thing for me is that I know when to start and when to stop responsibly depending on the situation when I gamble. However, in my opinion time and budget limits are not only for health and money safety but also related to decision quality. When we play continuously for a long time, our focus decreases, so we play without calculating and only place bets to recover. Similarly when there is a clear budget limit each bet is considered a little, because we know that the opportunities are limited. Another thing is life balance. If you have a habit of getting up after a certain time, then gambling does not occupy the entire day. There is room for other work or family. The only time someone will spend a lot of time gambling is if they are playing virtual I mean aviator, dice or spinning game because you can not just play once and get what you want though sometimes one can be lucky to just hit a major jackpot at first play but always rare. In sports betting I don't think you need this amount of time to gamble because all you need is to predict your game and bet it and then you are off unless you are the kind that play live bet or live game. I don't really spend that much time in gambling because sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time.

There are actually few gamblers who are disciplined enough to stick with time, like allocating 1 hour every time they gamble. But personally, I am not more on the time especially if the game seems to be getting more exciting. I stick with how much I can allocate, and when it's over, then gambling is done.

And most of the time, I bet only a small amount. If I'm lucky, it gets double or triple the amount, but mostly, I just blow it and lose it all. But no worries, this is the advantage if you only gamble with your spare money.
