No gambler will ever have to admit how much they are losing in gambling. I will believed that they might be telling stories on how much money they won, blah, blah. But behind it, they could still be in the net negative as they are still losing more money than winning. So I'm not sure if gambler will vote here of if they are, they might saying that they are not tracking (same in my case).

Again, if might just complicate them to track everything and see how much money they are actually losing than winning. So it's better to just have some fun in gambling and not to write down everything and being like looking at the books and says that I have won this much money or just quit because I have lose X amount of money. Bottom line if you feel that you are falling into the addiction then stop or reset.

Well, I voted deficit due to losses, though I gamble for fun these days. The days when I gamble to make money are long over. I have not tracked my gambling expenditure from the beginning, but I'm pretty sure I'm still at loss, not because I kept losing my bets currently, but because I lost a lot of money before I become a responsible gambler.
Sports betting won't going to let you lose a lot of money, most casino games are.

It's absolutely right on your part but gambling costs money to have fun. Most of the people who join join to make money. But many people make money and many people lose money. I don't usually keep track of my winning unless the wins is very obvious like some months which my winnings can be good regardless of the losses, however the losses are usually high too, if I should compare between my profit and lose since I started gambling till date, the lose is higher. Well, I voted neutral because i don't keep detailed track on my wins or losses. Although, I think my losses based on amount should be more, but those are expenses that are covered for, It was me enjoying the game, my focus has been on sports betting, and my pattern of gambling is majorly on important matches, it helps me shift my concentration focused on profits, while i relax more for the entertainment.

I have never really counted the amount of my losses, but a rough estimate, it is still more losses. Although when I win, I might feel extraordinary pleasure. I can buy desired items or simply treat friends to a meal.

Since you ain't taking into account those that gamble for fun, I don't think you should have included that option in the poll. As it is now only few will admit that they are actually gambling for profits. The vast majority will turn to gambling for fun. On my own I'm in big deficit. One thing I like is just the fact that I don't gamble more than I can afford to lose, that's why those losses are not getting to me. I do win sometimes, but my losses are more.

Because of the house edge, in the long run i believe the answer is obvious: the house (exchange) wins. I don't really keep track in the short term, i win sometimes and lose other times. I could go on a losing streak and other times i am on a mini winning streak. I like to believe that if you don't win a life changing amount that can cover losses, then you are probably losing to the casino.

This is the reason why it is recommended not to gamble with excess funds, keep the bankroll at a level that you can surely afford to lose, even if you lose it all at one go spinning in slots.

I must say I do win at times, and lose some small amount some other times. But since I just gamble minimal amount, its like my losses aren't that significant since  I also recover the amount eventually after few wins. Maybe that's one of the perks of being a disciplined gambler, you can manage your wins and losses well, without dwelling too much on them.

But there was a time also in my life where I almost fell into gambling addiction. And that taught me a big lesson the hard way. After that, I learned to just gamble on a manageable amount. That's when I realized that not all losses are painful, because you manage to gamble an amount you can afford to lose.

Personally, I would choose this because when I realized the amount I've lost I forgot that I should be playing to have fun and after that, I just started to control my bankroll budget, and I only play during weekends. Honestly, I think most of the players are on lose especially if they've been playing for a long time. Only few are in profit and those people are some few who managed to win jackpots.

Many gamblers are on the loser side, only few a on the winning side. But that shouldn’t be any big deal right? I mean, gamblers are meant to lose more than they win right? That’s just the way it should be according to the house edge. The goal of gambling isn’t to completely eliminate losses or up the wins so it’ll be more than the losses. No, the goal is to avoid incurring unintended losses, even if the ratio isn’t balanced, even if you can’t totally avoid losses, just try as much as you can to avoid losing more than you initially planned.

Maybe it’s just a way to convince themselves that they’re doing it for fun so they won’t feel the pain of losing. But deep inside, even if someone says they gamble just for fun, we’re still human, we feel it when we lose. In the first place, we gamble because we want to win. Yes, losers is the norm on gambling while the winner is the rare due to fact that you pointed out especially the house edge.

Casino just need to make sure to operate int he long run with huge bankroll to absorb initial win from players then slowly take profit from the house edge.

I will be surprised if the poll don’t show losers dominating aside from gambling for fun.
