I'm a little surprised nobody mentioned Bhutan. Perhaps everybody here loves huge modern cities?

I haven't been to that country and I only know it by what I've read, but if a world war erupts and I have the choice to move with my Bitcoin wherever I want, I think that's a nice option. It's pro-Bitcoin, low cost of living, rich in culture, with simple and friendly people, treats happiness over GDP, and so on.

The problem, however, is that it isn't easy to be a permanent resident or citizen in that country. And to remain a tourist is very expensive. But it's certainly a safe country to live with your Bitcoin.

The problem with Bhutan is I think it's not as densely populated as the other option and is pretty far away from the big countries.
People are expecting a place where they can live and sometime flying to the big country like the US. Bhutan is not a good choice if you are techy person like most of bitcoiners.

There is concern of the infrastructure as well and bitcoiners really need those.

New-old war is active again in Middle East, and I think it will soon spread to even more countries and Europe.
We should also not forget the terrible war that has been raging for years in Ukraine, with millions of people losing their lives and their homes.

My question is which countries you think are the safest to live in, that are pro-bitoin or neutral towards Bitcoin?
When there's war and millions of people are loosing their lives, your concern should not be that you're running to another country just because of the fact that you're looking for a place where the safety of your bitcoin is guaranteed, rather, you should be concerned about your safety because wars does not destroy bitcoin as much as it does man.

Relative to the degree of wars we've seen recently, my country is peaceful because we've not hard a full blown war that has led to the open bombardment of the different part of the country and though some regions have suffered internal security threat, those that are able to migrate from crisis prone region to the part with little crisis can attest that Thier security and that of their asset is not a thing of concern.

Africa seem to be a good choice because wrench attack isn't very common, some people here still believe that the idea behind crypto itself is fraud, when you talk about it they look away instantly thinking you want to defraud them.

And those who know about Bitcoin are very secretive over here, it's hard to see crypto influencers showing off their wealth online or telling the world that crypto and Bitcoin made them this wealthy.

Ghana for example is one of the safest Africa country that I can vouch for, unless you are into any illegal activities, this is presently one of the safest place in Africa presently.

I think @Hewlet isn't getting the point here. The question is
Quote
which countries you think are the safest to live in
with a preference of choice to only countries that are pro-bitcoin or neutral. That is to say they might be countries that are actually safe to live in but have very strict restrictions on bitcoin usage one that could severe as death penalty.

Allies and loyalist countries are just waiting to get invited to the war and soon things will blow beyond proportion. I just think if anyone can find a region within their country that is safe and doesn't have strict restriction on Bitcoin then they should rather stay there. It is more safer in a region one can navigate compared to a totally strange environment.

Yeah, Bhutan is a great place to step away from civilization for a while and spend time meditating. But for everyday life, it’s not really practical - especially for a crypto holder.
Bhutan doesn’t ban Bitcoin, but it’s definitely not a crypto hub either. The regulations for individuals are pretty unclear, and there’s almost no developed crypto infrastructure - no real exchanges, services, or OTC options.
On top of that, there are strong restrictions on banking transfers, the internet isn’t great, and overall it’s not very convenient.
So yeah, Bhutan isn’t a place for active crypto activity - it’s more like a quiet haven for a very slow and peaceful lifestyle.

My shortlist would be:

1. Panama — practical
2. Costa Rica — livable
3. New Zealand — safest
4. Singapore — most structured
5. UAE — most crypto-branded, but with more geopolitical caveat than people admit.

The UAE is a major crypto hub, no doubt, but given current regional tension, I wouldn’t call it the obvious “escape country” right now. Even Reuters is reporting that the sector has stayed resilient there while also noting conflict-related disruption risks. So for me, the sweet spot is still Panama or Costa Rica if you want a realistic move, and New Zealand if you want maximum peace and don’t mind paying for it. Because in the end, the best place to hold Bitcoin is still a place where you can sleep at night without checking missile maps before breakfast. If you want, I can make the next set shorter and more Bitcointalk-native, like 2–4 lines each.

I am well aware that Africa is a continent and not a country.  I understand there are some places where the Internet situation may be worse than some countries in Africa but generally speaking, that continent is in my opinion NOT safe in a large scale war.  If you are African I am not trying to insult you or your country, I am only being realistic.

You said you have to make it obvious that you own some Wealth or Bitcoin if you want to have no concern of war or theft.  Making it obvious that you are among the Rich defeats the purpose of moving to Africa for Safety.  Because when large scale wars happen and people become hungry, you do NOT want to be in the middle of a Rich neighbour hood and you do NOT want to be the one living well surrounded by the Poor!  There is a reason countries from Africa are usually never mentioned in the lists of safest places during large scale war.
Allow me cut in between you and Churchillvv, I wouldn't recommend specifically my country. We don't need to be directly in war to face economic contraction, using the ongoing conflict between the US, Iran, Israel and as many countries involved, it is already affecting the economy only in the shortest time without long term explosions, the cost of 1 Littre of fuel nearly doubled in price, that means all other goods and commodities also spiked, cost of transportation, purchasing power etc.

The internet situation in my country will always be in good condition, but that is not the issue, if the war explodes, the cost of purchasing a data plan also skyrockets, these are only effects of not directly amongst war, the indirect influence already hits hard on the economy.
