Winning is hard, why not quit?

They're experiencing the tension and sensation of what gambling addicts are having. They can't quit that on an instant because their egos can't accept defeat.

I know how it feels because I've been there before and it only takes a few deep sigh for them to realize that they're creating a mistake.

Their minds are wholly focused on how to take back their money and they know that the reality is that they can't. No matter how hard they gamble and how much bankroll they have.

What really made me create this thread is because I still can't figure out why people who lose often can't quite gambling or take a break even when they know that they can't win to recover their money.

It has something to do with habit and past results. When you have good results in the past, that will motivate you to continue gambling, and of course, besides the winning, you have fun doing it.

When you have fun doing something, and you are controlling the budget, you don't care about losing only the experience and the feeling that excites you; you can last as long as you want if you follow your budget and you do it for fun, rather than playing in the hope of making money.

Without doing any research I can actually say that gamblers that are benefiting from gamble in aspect of winning their bet are lower than the gamblers that are losing their bet because there's no guarantee to win any game except the gambler is lucky, which makes me believe that losers are more than the winners. If you observe properly, we could notice that the gambers that are winning their bet are likely gambling for entertainment (am not sure actually, probably not all of them), meanwhile those gamblers that are losing their bet are desperately gambling to make money through it. Even after multiple trials and no positive results, why not quit?.

Everyone starts gambling for entertainment or to test their luck, but the magic of winning and losing in gambling games makes everyone greedy and makes them more addicted to gambling. No one ever loses consistently in gambling, some bets are won and then lost. But the winning and losing things keep happening in such a way that one cannot control oneself. And so, even if one changes the bet amount, small wins may occur, but all the money ends up being lost due to big losses. But still, the hope of winning something big from gambling is not lost.

It's simple, if you quit now after all that loss then you are simply giving up and giving up is for losers. It's simple, if you quit now after all that loss then you are simply giving up and giving up is for losers. When a gambler quit gambling, it doesn't make him a loser. It will be an act of stupidity if a gambler keeps losing on a regular basis and still decide to continue instead of taking a break. Quitting in gambling, can mean, taking a break from gambling, and it can mean, restricting yourself from gambling entirely. It is not wrong to quit when you don't enjoy the fun anymore.  Quitting is a strategy that proves you are not an addicted gambler. You speak as if you are addicted to gambling. Reduce your risk in gambling, it is not always about chasing wins.

It's not giving up; it's recognizing simple facts and making decisions that stem from recognizing simple facts. But chasing losses really isn't necessary. Gambling offers everything you need to enjoy life. There's no need to complicate things further.

We keep hearing a series of comments about gambling from people around the world and yet they are not quitting, this shows that can blame is irresistible and we cannot afford to miss every moment of gambling despite the experience you may be having while playing in that courses us to lose more, but if you are truly in gambling to have fun and enjoy ourselves, we may not count all those happiness or something serious.

The reply is simple, addiction. They're already stuck in it that they cannot control themselves anymore, even quitting doesn't seem possible since to them, they cannot do without gambling.

That's sure, addiction is the only thing that can keep someone stocked in a game regardless his inability of getting something meaningful, addiction is never a child's play perhaps it has a whole lot of ways in causing you pain and more lost. The game is very simple and understandable, moreover the casino haa always warn we gamble responsible at all times regardless, meaning we have the right to work away when things isn't going as planned or you seem not getting it clear, but if you are insisting of pressing further regardless multiple losing games than am sorry because the repercussions of such act is endless doom.

Optimistic is the reason why most people don’t quit , some persons are hopeful that one day it will favor them , people gamble for different purposes, some maybe for fun , some to get rich , and if doesn’t come , they keep pushing , but there are people who stop the moment they realize that the winning is not coming, so it’s based on individuals opinions , people are not the same both in thinking and how they want to leave their lives , so that is why everyone will not quit if the winning is not coming while some will take a break to process for sometime.

All gambler are optimistic about winning if not they won't even try to gamble at all especially after losing many times. The reason why gambler continuous gambling despite losing is because they are seeing others gambler winning or they have heard about how someone win huge amount of money. I’m a long time gambler but quitting for me will not consider my time and effort dedicated on gambling since there’s no save progress on my gambling career. I can quit it no string attached to my previous experience since it doesn’t matter on my game.

The only thing I consider that’s why I continuously playing is I’m having playing it even if I lose sometimes.

There’s no gambling games has save progress for someone to consider their dedicated time to quit.

I understand what you're going through when you enjoy it, because sometimes I feel the same way too. Of course, I'm prepared to lose, so when I lose, I don't think too much about it I just accept it and move on with my life.

It's important to have the awareness to stop gambling, because I believe it can determine our future fate. I don't want to experience the same bad things I did because I couldn't stop gambling.

In trading, we call it revenge trading. It's the pursuit of losses in an attempt to win it back. Maybe in gambling, there's another word for it which I believe is anchored on that element of luck. Luck is what keeps gamblers returning to that point their losses are counted. Gamblers don't conclude they will lose a bet and then go ahead to still place that bet. No one sees an incoming lorry on speed and jumps right in front of it if they aren't suicidal.

Among those people, there will be more people who curious and wants to try. They wants to prove that they are different than previous people. I get what you mean. I think a big reason is that gambling isn’t only about money it becomes a habit. People who lose a lot often fall into a “chasing losses” mindset. They feel like they have to win back what they lost, so quitting feels like accepting the loss. That’s why it’s hard to stop. Also some games are designed to keep you playing (near-misses, small wins, quick rounds), so even when someone knows it’s not smart, they still continue. That’s why limits matter time limits, money limits, and taking breaks. Once someone starts gambling out of stress or desperation, it usually goes downhill.

Ask the same question, for example, why people who know that coffee doesn’t bring any benefit to their body still continue to drink it several times a day. Obviously, the reason is that they like it, maybe they enjoy the taste of the drink. It’s the same with cigarettes and with betting people do it because they like the feelings they experience while placing a bet or during the game. The most important thing is to control your spending in this matter and not get too carried away so that it doesn’t affect your finances.

Common thing happened is there are people still hoping to hit life changing wins that's why they still gamble even if they are continue to lose.

Those big gains they see made by some people gives them some hope that one day they can also hit such win or achievement then could able to change their life situation instantly by help of gambling.

So those samples you provided is valid since I think that it have similar effect to those people who's used to do those usual activities. Maybe realization comes late, but hopefully many would realize that gambling is not best venue to earn money. Those platform is meant to be just an option to have fun so that they can control their spending and don't exceed with amount what they can afford to lose.

People gamble for three reasons, Because they are addicted, gambling for profit or trying to use it to find a better life or just for fun. Some find it hard to quit even though they know that the chances of winning are low because they hope to make profit from it. They chase profits continuously and keep hoping they would win big eventually.

In my case, I can’t quit gambling because I use it for entertainment purposes and I’m very active on gambling discussion on the forum so it’s impossible for me to quit now.

Maybe one day I’m not active here for gambling discussion I can easily quit probably because I already found different to be entertained or life makes me busy enough that gambling is already least of my priority.

Maybe it is worth spending time and try to find answers online or look for statistics? Google say that 70% of those who have lost, return within 1-3 days. Why do people do that? There are many options for discussion, which will end with greed and emotions. I think that emotional factor outweighs greed. As soon as person managed to recover some lost money, or understands that it is not use trying (or understands that he is running out of money), that person will stop gambling or make a long pause. Emotions make people return. People dont quit because the price they pay (lose) suits them.

Gambling is always lucky. And if the winners are more than the losers, the casinos will run into economic meltdown the casino will hit economic Bankruptcy. And it is when the losing is greater than the winning that make the casino to make profit. And this gambling for entertainment issue will be a continuous discussion because some people doesn't believe on that statement. Sadly gambling should not be inline with hope, since gambling is just for fun and also might drain you as well there are lots of family who go their separate ways because someone became addicted to it, selling home, land , material things just to satisfy the urge to gamble.
They were just dreaming of something big this is what casino really does do, they even post a big billboard of freeways just for the people to see and and lure them to play, its free to dream but i just think that that is not the way because there are always consequences for gambling, so while its still early quit not worth winning once and losing a lot.

The concept of hope cannot be overlooked in gambling either, because when we decide to play a game, we don't play to win, not to lose. It's a fact that luck determines our destinies, but for that reason, we always seek glory a glory with hope based on the reality of the facts, not on emotions.

This has to do with the proper management of money, as well as with good time management. Everything helps, and thus the experience in gambling is complete, regardless of whether one loses.
