Having high hopes for us to get a successful bet is a terrible idea because it doesn't work like that. The gamblers you're referring to are those gambers that believe in continuity and consistency, the don't take no as an answer, they don't believe that calling it a quit is a good option for them, my may not be for them to stop if they are actually gambling responsibly but the are gambling as though it is investment, thats where the problem is, I believe that we can actually win at anytime, luck doesn't announce when it will come to anyone, we have our decisions, if a gambler says he or she want to continue to be around there's no problem but gamble responsiblly they win anytime but just as you hinted, it must not be taken as source of income so that one will not get into trap set by himself.

Personally, I like to bet when the Champions League is on, and I don't plan on betting every day. Besides betting for fun and testing my luck, I want to see that, based on my analysis, I have a better chance of coming out on top than other players. What really made me create this thread is because I still can't figure out why people who lose often can't quite gambling or take a break even when they know that they can't win to recover their money.

I don't really believe on those saying, unless the game is not verifiable and could be consider not to be fair if not their is no way a casino will be so low to the extent of monitoring individuals gambling history and controlling their game outcome and when they are about to run out of balance they give a near miss which could trigger them to come back, I just see those saying as something that's not realistic, how about on cases where it happens for betting which the casino don't have hand in deciding how the players will play but sometimes such situations do occur do you still blame the casino for that or you just accept the result and take away the thought that result is being manipulated in favor of the casino.

Without doing any research I can actually say that gamblers that are benefiting from gamble in aspect of winning their bet are lower than the gamblers that are losing their bet because there's no guarantee to win any game except the gambler is lucky, which makes me believe that losers are more than the winners. If you observe properly, we could notice that the gambers that are winning their bet are likely gambling for entertainment (am not sure actually, probably not all of them), meanwhile those gamblers that are losing their bet are desperately gambling to make money through it. Even after multiple trials and no positive results, why not quit?.

What really made me create this thread is because I still can't figure out why people who lose often can't quite gambling or take a break even when they know that they can't win to recover their money.

However, the point is that as long as there are still a few people winning in gambling, it will always encourage others to continue gambling, no matter the losing experiences they have gotten from it. This is because they always believe the next bet may be their winning bet. So, they keep having the hope that they will surely win one day, and that is what makes many people not quit gambling even when they are losing so much.

Another fact is that some people gamble for entertainment, and if someone is gambling for entertainment, they may not feel like quitting what they enjoy. So, what is important now is that someone should not gamble more than what they can afford to lose, because that is what causes damage in a person’s life, and it can easily lead to depression.
