As to the extent I can sacrifice my privacy for financial freedom, and possibly fame (which also brings money), the extent is so high. So long as it will not affect my security and that of my family, I care less.

There are many means one can take advantage of the internet when come to chasing financial freedom, just as there are those that share their private lives in the internet ( through social medias ). There are still those that don’t need to share any vital information, to achieve financial freedom most of such individuals are found here in this crypto space . Those that work with decentralized system , doesn’t mean they don’t also make sacrifices, some are so locked in that day don’t even have time to live their daily lives , what called paying with one of the greatest resources which is time .

I believe everyone has what works for them, what might work for one might not work for the other. What's privacy when you are broke? the world will not know you if you are broke so you privacy means nothing when you are not known by people and when you are not a important person in the society.

The influencers you see on social media go as far as exposing so many things about them to make money even though a little of things they expose online are fake but they go to the extent of giving people information about themselves and other people to gain massive views so that they can make more money. If it's about putting out my nudes online for money that's not possible but if it's about dropping details of my day to day activities then there's nothing to hide it doing that will help me escape poverty for life.

There's of course no gain in being very private and broke, so why not do that KYC requirements and include all information needed just to be qualified to earn online?

Gaining money from social media doesn't mean we must opening up all of our personal life, what we need to do is sharing value not oversharing. We can choose to share our knowledge, our profesional experiences based on our capacity and capability, our process to be success, giving solution to others problem. We don't need to share our privat life or sensitive content. I use social media for strategic sharing to build reputation and get financial opportunity, and I always avoid oversharing because it will open possibility for cyber scaming. Everything depend on our choice, but financial freedom never never worth our family safety and security. Beside that better to build personal branding based on our quality and competence rather that personal drama.

For content creator which try to build wealthy through social media never share vulnerability, visibility is our target but credibility must be our priority, because popularity without reputation can not long lasting (only a trend), the last pease be smart and build your digital shield and put your privacy as your own consumption.

It doesn’t actually cost much for me to just post my daily life on social media and earn money, it even actually gets interesting to me, even talking about myself, achievements, business journey or struggle as much as I try to be careful enough not to post very sensitive information that will cause harm to myself. Yep, the real freedom is in bitcoin, which is decentralized, and no one could know you have billions in dollars if you are holding them in bitcoin. That's the real beauty of it but it is not so easy to hide your assets from the world. I am not talking about authorities but people around you, especially scammers and hackers, who know which wallet has a huge amount, but who owns it, no one can find out until we give them something.

As I was saying, financial freedom is of no use if we have to tell everything, or pretend in front of the public, or we don't like to talk about a topic but the followers and community is keep forcing you share more information ot the same matter. Why would you chose to sacrifice when you can still make it happen without compromising things?  Sometimes, you don't have to rush into a decision and eventually take the risk, you have to weigh things first and decide on your own without having to ruin other important factors in your life.

There are those who sacrificed and eventually it paid off, but there are those who chose not to take the risk but in the end still making things possible. Personally, I don't want to make decisions against my privacy, because when you break that privacy, things will never be the same, and even if you achieve your goal, genuine happiness will never be felt then.

In our generation today there is a lot that of things people don't social media that doesn't really seem right to me but it's their life and you cannot tell others what to do. People create content to make money but some take it too far, posting somethings online just to get views and likes shows a certain level of desperation that you shouldn't be having. I don't think I need to reveal my identity in every case to make money online or gain financial freedom. There are some platforms where you can make money without sharing your personal information publicly. Not that I have to provide such information in every case, but if I want to take advantage of a platform, I definitely have to provide some basic information. I don't always say that providing that information is unsafe. I certainly wouldn't be interested in giving my personal information to a place that is risky, and not in exchange for money. But I will only share my personal information where my personal information is safe.

It all depends on individual, as for me , I’m a very private person , I don’t like people knowing so much about me , so I don’t think I can put myself out there , and your question which goes by how much of my personal life can I sacrifice for financial freedom? I don't know about any influencers or online entrepreneurs, who are publicly revealing their sensitive personal information all over the internet. Information such as social security number, home address, phone number(this isn't so sensitive info, but whatever). You can make money online without having to reveal such sensitive data. Someone could reveal your private info without you necessarily being involved in an online business. I understand that online doxxing is a major issue, but the people, who were doxxed aren't such a big amount. There are services like Deleteme, who can help you delete all your sensitive info, which is posted online. I haven't used such online service, but I might try it in the near future.

This is really scary. Almost all your followers know your house and how much you are worth. I wouldn't feel safe in such a situation because I would be concerned about my safety and that of my family members. I can give out some personal information to the public on my channel, but my house location and children will remain a secret.

I heard that these influencers have competitors. Your followers might be cool, but one cannot be sure about other people, like those who are in the same business. I might be willing to give out more information about myself if I am making money that would be enough to afford personal security.

Keeping the right boundaries will help to a very large extent in going about either pushing yourself to the public in the form of gaining visibility or alternatively trying to use your inner resources for the purpose of attracting or gaining something financially good in an internet driven world we are living in.

For the sake of the visibility of my brand, the highest I will do is to push out information because it personal or not that relates mostly with my brand and that's it. Any other thing that's going to be detrimental to my image and isn't morally okay for me to push out, no amount of work or need to gain visibility will cause me to project things that can dent my reputation. If you know your self worth, you will know the length you're willing to get to and the length you're not willing to get to regardless of the push.

Apart from Identity theft and security threats, I'm fine with sacrificing my privacy to earn and that will also depend on what to be earned. I won't do that for peanuts. The reason I've that mindset is this, whether we like it or not or admit it or not, most of our data are already out there. I remember in the past when we used to submit biodata and registration documents to projects during the ICO days. What about the numerous Cexs we've our IDs and addresses on? What about our local and international banks. What about on social media, especially on LinkedIn for those of us who are job hunting? Even on Facebook where most people now create contents to earn, exposing their locations and family settings.

To be honest, one way or the other, nobody has their privacy intact anymore. We've compromised that in some ways.
