Honestly, it sounds like you're trying to subsidize an above average lifestyle at someone else's expense.  Once again you seem to be under the impression that you are entitled to other people's money.  I don't know where you get these ideas into your head, but what you really deserve is another red-tag, not any donations.

Edit to add: To address question number 1 above, and the way you answered it:  This seems rather dishonest.  It's gotten pretty clear that the acquaintance you're pleading for is Etranger, who is female, and is active in the gambling boards.  Yet, you answered the question by saying "No, he is not involved in gambling."  So, now you're talking about the husband solder.  I guess you did this so you wouldn't flat out lie, but it's just as dishonest as a flat out lie.

Sorry if this question seems rude, but do you live in Ukraine? I'm sure you don't. But I live here, and I KNOW and SEE how things really are here! I know how much food, utilities, medicine, medical supplies, services, and everything else costs. And I can honestly say that if we're talking about 20,000-25,000 UAH/month (a soldier's salary), which is about $450-570, that's VERY little for a family of three, especially with a child under one year old.  
I can suggest a game: ask the AI how a family of three, with a child under one year old, can live on a hypothetical 25,000 hryvnia. These are ideal conditions when the soldier gives all his money to his family and needs nothing for himself. Let's add some realism — utilities for a 2-3 room apartment, for example. Just ask for calculations that are current as of today, with the current exchange rate of $1 = 44 UAH.
And yes, to clarify, this is Kiev.

PS hmmmm... I looked at the same request... - you forgot to specify that the figures you gave are calculated for 1 (ONE) person. One WORKING person with the specified income. In this case, the situation is different: 3 people, 25,000 UAH per month for all three. “Working” - 1 person. Don't you think this is a slightly different situation?

I think we all know families that could use some help. You have to ask yourself how things scale when using a public forum though. If everyone asked for help for those we know who need it, that’s all that would be posted here and it would disrupt discussion. I wish you luck in helping your friend.

I agree with much of the suspicion here. Which is unfortunate if someone is truly in need. “Exceptions” given by Theymos I can understand. Although, id like to know who thinks it's a good idea to donate to an anonymous user and trust that they give donations to a 3rd party?

I made the same observation and was given the explanation from the Op that he'd get her go-ahead before publishing her name and it kind of got me curious because since this is war and donations we're talking about, there's no need to feel shy about it. It's not like the husband asked to be enlisted just for the fun of it but rather to help restore peace in his own little way so I see no big deal trying to withhold the name.
 I'm sure the affected person must have tried to look for other means to source for funds but since there was no other option had to use the forum, despite knowing that donations are frowned upon here so going through someone else may not help her case, if anything.

It’s not a mystery on whose behalf you’re asking for donations. The BTC addresses has already interacted with an address used multiple times on the forum. I can’t say I’m familiar with this person because their posts are limited to sections I don’t visit often.

I don’t know this person’s character or their needs and like others said, there are plenty of other people that need help. I won’t question anybody’s motives, but I just can’t give money away so readily in this case.

Have read some of the post here and it only point to one direction, fear and lack of trust...everyone here who are ready to give are also trying to be careful since scammers have made people to start thinking twice before doing anything...so the questions and investigations on who's receiving the funds are valid, we don't need to blame anybody for asking. For me, if you like to donate you do it... currently you can't tell if the person in question is desperately in need of funds...like they say givers never lack and again, the affected person need to come out for many to believe that this is truly happening, these days we find it hard to trust the next person... don't say because Theymos said go ahead that why you want to donate and if something happens you start dropping pms on how to get your money back or fight for justice (just saying), if your mind says you should just do it and Op you know what to do to kill off these questions and double thoughts...this help is not coming direct from the source that's why.
