I will not say that I'm that smart but what I can say is that I keep on trying to improve my self control on gambling from time to time.
As per saying "exeperience is the best teacher" so I try to always learn from my own experiences as well as from other's experiences.
Mistakes can be said as the best lesson to learn because we will try to avoid to do the same mistake in thre future.

I never consider myself a smart bettor. It really depends on the perspective of others. But I can definitely say that I gamble no less than my roommate, but still, it seems that my roommate is more likely to lose at the end of the day. Now if you call this smart gambling, then I am definitely a smart gambler.

My first rule of gambling is never to overbet if I win. And my friend there, even if his winning rate is 70%, he keeps on gambling. That's something I always avoid.

For you to be profitable consistently when gambling, you need to know what you are doing and how you can retain your profits so you don't rejoice for a day and regret or become sad for several days due to no winning.

Gambling consistently because you want to win does not make you a good gambler because no matter how much you spend to gamble you may never win when you are not lucky, you can't talk about being a smart gambler without involving your budget and discipline which would have you to limit the amount you spend on gambling. Smart, professional, clever, responsible and what have you, every kind of player faces losses, the difference in-between everyone else is how each player accept the lost money. Emotional control is a strong disciplinary action for smart gamblers. Winning big could be uncertain but with a valid control, that is, refusing to allow the losses lead to a damaged kind of play, the gambler gets smarter than the system as it does what isn't harmful to himself and peace of mind as a player.

If you are a bettor that depends on codes from other bettors or influencers to place your bet then you are not supposed to be called a bettor because you are not using your own idea and analysis to place bet, and if you keep losing money to these codes or odds you are been given and you decide not to check on your own and keep following up with losing and some winnings once in a while, you are not smart because normally one should check the stats of their gambling after some time to balance things up; if the rate of losing money is higher, they they should consider rechecking their betting strategy or change pattern of betting or go for brake because if you continue like that, you will keep losing money to gambling.

I am not a full time bettor, I do bet when I feel like doing so especially if I see some important matches that I feel will give good results, and I do win most times while sometimes I do lose money; but averagely, I have benefited from gambling.

For a fact that I can discipline myself majority of the times I'm gambling, I consider myself to be a smart gambler. Being smart in gambling is not about winning or losing, if you win without a smart financial discipline you might end up losing it all back to the system and that is the problem a lot of gamblers are going through today. That's why we need to work on our emotions for a fact that we don't like losing money should be the drive to learning how to mange and respect it, so we don't end up like those addicted/irresponsibly gamblers.

I consider myself a simple bettor, someone who sometimes wins and sometimes loses. When you’re betting and losing at the same time, you can’t call yourself a smart bettor. To my own understanding, it is such person who gambles with an amount they can afford to lose but not because they’re losing and still feel they want to go on gambling. Gambling is a game of luck, and when you want to add entertainment to it, you’ll definitely not get the best chance from it, as others sees it more as a game of gain. A smart will be that person that risks as little as they can, and still feel they can continue to gamble without tempering with their emotions in the long run. Gambling is very risky, but most at the same time can be traded carefully and not make mistakes that would cost you a lot.

I don't think I can beat the odds. The moment I had this realisation I started feeling a lot better. There's no reason for me to win too much and hence no need to bet big amounts. I'm doing it for the thrill of it and only looking into matches I like. It can be very occasional and also any win is an extra bonus.

If we know that the possibility of losing our bankroll is greater than our chances of winning, then it is obvious that we could end up with zero bankroll so winning a huge or little amount gives happiness to us.  Since we are ready to end our gambling session in a lost or empty bankroll, I bet it will bring more joy if we experience winning once in a while, and this feeling is what most gambler is looking for and that is the reason why they are still gambling despite they are in the losing position.

As for being smart, I would like to think so, but sometimes I become an idiot and get trapped in revenge gambling so I believe I am just on the average level as a bettor.  Enough to prevent me from ruining my financial capability.

I think not. I think it's just best to say that I'm more in the lucky version if I'm winning my bets compared to being smart but being lucky is because I worked for it too, more like combination of perseverance on the research side.

I think smart isn't the right word to be said in here, as I've said it's more on the lucky side plus the work you've done especially if you're into sports betting. I guess we can say the experience, the anticipation but most of all I think it's about the fun you've like to get from doing it.

I dont think there is any word as a "smart bettor" but rather a "lucky bettor" as betting is not a game that wins with smartness but majorly on luck and a bit of analysis. A responsible gambler rather is knows when best to out the game, and to stay a bit longer. No drama, no unnecessary risk.

There is nothing clever about gambling, I will just consider winning and losing as part of the game that is based on luck. Even if you are an expert at gambling, you still need luck to win a bet, that's for sure. So as a short conclusion, I would not consider myself smart at gambling, nor am I stupid, but I just want to enjoy the game even if I have to lose a little money with it.

If being smart means consistently beating the house, then I don't think I am that smart enough.

I have more losses than wins to be honest, but I don't think too much about it because I know majority are like that as well. I just gamble and enjoy the experience, and stay responsible all throughout by not betting more than what I can afford to lose, that way I remained to be smart and responsible enough in my own assessment.

I don't anyone can be bold to call himself a smart bettor since the game is not always easy to win. Anyone who displays some form of pride in gambling is easily humbled. I have not gotten to the point I'll say I'm smart, so I'm more of work in progress. A smart bettor is someone who can manage everything in such a way that his profits are greater than his losses. If he is losing, then how can he be considered smart? For me, I consider myself a smart bettor because I know when to start and stop, understand my fund limits, and control my emotions in both losses and profits, which can save me from falling into a loss trap and from greed.
