Taking breaks from the game is, of course, essential for a player's stability and a fresh perspective, but even this can be ineffective if we're playing in places we're uncomfortable or are under pressure from family, spouses, or friends. I've long noticed that I'm most comfortable playing completely alone. I can start making a list of when and where people shouldn't be seen gambling and the list will be so long that I cannot be able to exhaust all the ideas. Some persons can gamble at the wrong place and time and they will still be doing well for themselves. For some other gamblers, the situation may be different. There are other places and times where gambling should not be done, although no one will stop you. Gambling when you’re drunk?

Many times I feel like I’ve been a victim of this myself. Sometimes when I’m drunk, I get this sudden urge to gamble, and the problem is I lose that sense of fear. I become overconfident and start placing bets I normally wouldn’t make when I’m sober.

I don’t know about others, but based on what I remember, my win rate has been really poor whenever I mix gambling with alcohol.

It's fine as you restrict yourself to a budget while you are sober. Make sure you can't access your money outside of the budget and you can get as wasted as you want. If you only take 50 USD to the casino you do not have to worry about losing more than the 50.

But alcohol does make you make take higher risks than usual, which would explain why you lose more often when drunk. But that goes for every human being I would think.

Once it stops being fun and starts feeling like something you need to survive, then it will start becoming an issue..   At that point it is no longer entertainment again, it will now be like pressure, and pressure in gambling ends bad most of the time..

From what you have explained, it looks like you are an introverted gambler that doesn't like people around or like to gamble in a crowded place. I think it is ok, just to pass the time while on transit but obviously do not gamble while you are driving.  Being able to relax the mind before an interview or examination can be helpful but being to attached to the game that it became the focus would be devastating.

I don't know what I want to add have being said. That is, don't skip your breakfast or lunch because of gambling. If you do that, I don't think you will find yourself happy to eat your food again because of gambling losses.

These two is part of the company's time that you're rendering and you're getting paid. Don't be a jerk by gambling during these times. You're in a meeting as part of your work and you need to be focus as that might be a meaningful meeting for company's plans, visions and productivity. As for an interview, I think that someone does that is obviously not meant for that interview and job. If they can't focus on a few minutes of it, they will have hard time in focusing on the actual job. So, both meeting and working hours, that belongs to your employer and not yours.

Somebody who is gambling during these two periods is nothing but an addict, that is the only definition that I can give it, they don't have any control over their cravings to gamble. Gambling should only be engaged in when you are at your leisure time, when you have nothing serious to do so that you can concentrate and have fun or chase money. Gambling cannot guarantee you an income so I don't see why any responsible person should priotize it over what will give them sure money to take care of their responsibilities. We should give priority to things that are more important than things that we are not sure of success like gambling.

You are right, they're already addict because there's no more respect to the time of their company and the employer that gives them salary which they use to feed their family. And, to the money that they're gambling with. It's hard to solve that when they're affecting their jobs and much worse if they get caught, they'll lose the job, have no plan b's for that. How it will be for that addicted gambler? they'll realize the mistake that they commit and if they'll not act on it, they'll even the worst case scenario that they'll be in if no changes are made.
