The situation for Neymar is still uncertain when it comes to getting more playing time. He might start in the first half of the next match. But I guess it probably won’t be a full game. I agree that scoring again after a difficult period gives any player a big confidence boost, and the “I’m back” celebration was probably his way of showing he’s feeling like himself again. It looked more like a personal statement than anything aimed at other players.
I don’t think it was about chasing Messi or Kane or trying to prove he’s better than them. Ronaldo has always said his biggest competition is with himself. The celebration was more about showing that he’s still capable of performing at a high level despite what people have been saying, not that he’s back to compete with specific players.

It’s not just you, i’ve also been wondering about this and kept thinking about the reason behind it, to the point where i’m convinced that Neymar inclusion in the Brazilian squad was due to the immense pressure Carlo Ancelotti faced, particularly from the fans themselves, the Brazilian people who still love Neymar dearly. This is what ultimately left him with no choice but to include Neymar on the Brazilian roster in order to win the World Cup this time around.

It is true that Vinicius and Raphinha have performed exceptionally well, both are ready to become the backbone of the current Brazilian team. I mean we are talking about just a single player left because of him, and I think that we are not looking because as far as I remember, there was just one guy left out of the team and unless they left out like the best player in the world out, then I am sure 25th guy wouldn't have mattered that much anyways. it's always a problem when you build a team around a specific player, because then you risk that player missing a match and your plans fall apart and will no longer continue, this is what I've seen lately in a couple of teams that adopt this system, and it's honestly not fair.

Hopefully they will learn from this experience and never make the mistake of building their entire team around one particular player, it's good to give a player their dues when they are playing well enough to earn it but making them the only anchor for the team can be detrimental as this one is right now, if Neymar was in peak shape then it would have been a different story but he is not and they knew he wasn't in form, they had time to make sure their team was the best it could have been.

I wouldn't really agree with your opinion.
Ancelotti is not the type of coach who would give in to pressure from the media or the public, and only the fittest and best players always play for him.
He also always knows how to get the most out of his teams and also create harmony between the big stars and the egos in his teams.
If he brought Neymar to the World Cup, it's because he thinks Neymar can help him and play, not because he wants to please the public and the media.
After all, Neymar has played very little so far, which is further proof that he doesn't play based on past merits, but solely on the contribution he can currently make to the team.
