What if you had lose, what is then going to be the post you are going to make. This is a normal day in gambling, you lose or you win and today happen to be win and you should be happy about the outcome. What you should have done is set a stable staking power that you think you can afford to lose, be using that to gamble so that when you lose you wouldn't feel anything and when you win, you will appreciate it and continue to bet instead of doing too much.

If you win and increase your staking power, is there an assurance that you are going to win the next game? What you should focus on is whether you can win the next game. That should he the only thing you have to be thinking instead of increasing the staking power. By the time you have master your consistency in gambling and understand how to manage your games very well, you will eventually know what to do next with your staking power.

I understand your disappointment, OP, for getting lucky at the wrong time, but it's not right to bet beyond your means. Of course, if you win, it will greatly help your finances, but if it's the opposite, it will make you more motivated to chase your losses because you can't afford to lose the money, and you also realize that there is no certainty in the final outcome.

This is not worth creating a thread for mate because this is a regular feelings that one get when the game you used low amount to bet become a winning game, although where you should know that the game is based on luck is where you said friend said he also used a small amount to stake the bet which shows his level of low confidence in his own selection.

Yes, I've been throught for this, but I've also been throught by situations where I was certainly of winning but held back, and thank goodness... because I lost the bet and it could have been much worse if a bet more hight.

I am calm, I know that my bets could yield much more in some scenarios with high probabilities of win, but I am always be caution and I know I can also lose a lot of money... in A balance between the two, I think I would have lost much more than I gained with those opportunities.

I Am not trying to disagree you, I understand that those who want to win more need to take more risks, I A m just trying to tell that that this is not my goal (win big prizes), I prefer to win less and be able to stay in the game to longer when things are going badly, you understand?

It's totally leads to a dangerous path, not just you thinking, it's obvious, whatever thought that will suggest and condemn your action as to why you did not increase your staking and the amount which could have been won if the staking was increased keep ringing in your head. It has happened to anyone with a minimum of time within the world of betting and gambling.

It is a combination of Feeling of missing out (FOMO) and also Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt (FUD).
It pretty much summaries the uncertain nature of betting in sports, if people could predict where to put their money in order to win big, they would even acquire debt to multiply their wealth easily.

That is one of the lessons one is supposed to learn from losing bets and also winning with little money, resulting in disappointment.

What if it had been the reverse? Would you still have this opinion about increasing your stake to increase your winnings?

gambling isn’t guaranteed so I don’t really know if there’s a safe “sometimes increase your bet to win something substantial”. I’m not saying that it’s forbidden to increase your stakes, I do it, but it shouldn’t be because you “feel” the win is guaranteed because feelings like that make People bet irresponsibly leading to regrets afterwards.

And that's also the reason why many are losing big and chasing more of their losses. I think it's okay to say that but if you're a moderate gambler, that's better than someone who's trying to bet and win big because the amount you're risking is a lot. Gamblers like me are fine to win small and lose small, than to win big and risk big because it's not everyday that we're going to win if we follow that principle.

@op, to prevent getting  yourself in a mess, avoid these regrets after every of your gambling decisions. I am talking about these kind of regret where you've already won something but suddenly start telling yourself that you should have done more. That is greed right there. With how unpredictable betting is, I bet you that next time, you may not be pleased that you staked more money because you might not be lucky this time around. Accept every outcome of your bets the way it is and avoid leaving in regrets. The most important thing is that you know your risks tolerance and wouldn't want to push yourself more than you can take.

Having money doesn't mean you must gamble with big money. If having money is a reason to gamble with huge money that means you dont understand gambling. Gambling with big amount of money doesn't mean the game will come out win.

You can still have money but the amount of money that you can afford to lose in gambling is a small amount,  this is just the limit. Just imagine gambling with a big amount of money and at the end it becomes a lose, so if winning bit with a small amount makes you feel bad then think about what if the outcome was the reverse.  It is just better to gamble with amount that you can afford to lose.

I once placed a bet with a very little amount of money because I felt like I just wanted to exhaust my balance and since it was an amount that I could afford to lose I didn't mind but at the end of the day i ended up winning but my only Regret was that I didn't stake high. This is the mindset of beginners because there is a level where you would get to you would appreciate little wins even when you stake low amounts of money. If we were all responsible bettors and gamblers, we would always stake money we can afford to lose suddenly, and amount with money which would not affect our life negatively.

Ironically, even though you did feel bad for staking too little,.you did the right thing by doing so and not allowing greed or other feelings to dictate your actions on the betting markets.

Yes, infact many of us here has experienced it before, as a matter of fact this happen to me last year when I was given a game by my dad to play, since he knows how to play lottery game (pools) precisely, but due to negligence and not trusting the game Enough to play it, I just stake with little amount and it played and the outcome was low, I started regretting why I didn't stake high. The thing is that no one knows what the outcome of what we do will turn out to be, if not we would do things the proper way. I could also remember somedays when I stake high in expectation of winning and I lose, I start regretting why I didn't use low amount. It is just difficult to know when to stake high and get big return, that's why we say gambling is all about luck.

In my opinion, the size of your bet doesn't matter as long as you're prepared to accept the losses. I don't understand why a down internet connection could lead you to make unreasonable bets. While those with ample funds still playing with small amounts isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's actually better that way. But if you're really looking for a big win, betting large amounts is a viable option, as long as you're prepared to accept the risk.

I know it’s okay to bet with what you can afford to lose ,

I love the fact that you have already said it all, and that's the most important and the safest thing to do while gambling because nothing is too sure when you are on the game. Sometimes you can decide to put in something juicy expecting you're about hitting a jackpot that will change your entire story but the reverse can be the case, gamble is a game of luck and anything can happen regardless what you know you can do best, therefore it's more better being at the safer side than losing greatly all because of our over confidence in it and wanted to use it as a means of achieving something tangible.

I think its normal. People who are gambling is fine to used smaller funds cause it is betting and gambling nothing sure of the outocme later on. Since his good at prediction, it wouldnt hurt also to bet on his own skills I guess and even you if you truly trust him then try a bit sometimes.

I think I've posted this kind of experience before, wherein I was betting on a roulette and I supposed to put a single bet on a number. But unfortunately, due  to the internet, my bet didn't go in and so I lost a good amount of money.

I wouldn't say it's normal, even at bad internet connection, most of the time by bet will go in. But this time it's totally different that for unknown reasons, the bet was put on hold by the casino because I didn't make it on time because of poor network.
