Why are slots still your favorite even if the house edge is around 3 to 4%?

This post is not meant to discourage anyone from playing. I’m just genuinely curious how other people feel about it, because even me, I’m still playing until now as a past time even though I already know the reality of the house edge.

You should know that you either need more money or you want to have fun hitting the bet button often many times making yourself feel good about it, you know you can't win enough for yourself and that keeping to your plan will eventually fail but you keep trying because humans operates with hope which keeps us alive.

There is no exact reason why you keep or stop playing slot other than fun and hope of winning.

It is very hard to see a casino player that do not like slot, not because of the house edge or anything obviously lying noticeable. I think the obvious reason is how easy slot games are you play because slots are the easiest to play, no much training or specialised knowledge is needed to be able to play. People always want to make big money quickly. And playing slots becomes one of the things they think can fulfill what they want, to get big money quickly, even though they are also aware that the risk of losing is greater than the chance of winning big, but curiosity overrides that logic and they choose to keep playing.

I play slots, although not often, but whenever I have funds to use, it will usually be an option after sports betting. The results are not too bad, but that doesn't mean I recommend playing slots because the risk of loss is still bigger.

This is the exact reason why I tried slots games even though I hate this game since I know how disadvantageous to play this game due to house edge and volatility.

I like watching gambling streamer in the past on the twitch while waiting for Dota2 tournament to start. That simple watching of streamers winning huge amount encourages me to try it and be patient even when losing because I knew that someone hits a huge win so I can do it too.

Slot games are not about how long you play it but how lucky you are, you can play for years without winning anything significant to cover for your constant loses but you can have a beginers luck and hit the jackpot. Some players are still on slot games because they are hoping to win very big while some are on it to entertain themselves, whatever your reasons either to make money or catch fun you should always use amount that you can afford to loose. My main aim to play slot games now is to entertain myself with small amounts, I don't mind winning but if I lose I don't feel terrible because it is a game of pure luck.
