Why aren't social casino's an actual social casino?

How exactly do we make it more social though. Does anyone have an idea that could work.

VR I guess.. if they want to achieve something like land based  casinos then it has to be something like the Virtual Reality Casinos.. that way you can see someone interact with other as much as you want but how long can people use that.. I get a lot of headaches using for 2hrs+

Actually this is the first thing that came to my mind too, I think the VR is the closest thing you can go to but I'm not sure how they are going to implement it and I don't think casinos would invest developing a world (like Horizon Worlds of Meta Quest) just to accommodate few users who are up to this but that might be revolutionary? Or just a waste of resources and I don't think people would use that feature considering that the device alone is worth $500+ maybe few existing users who have the VR could be interested to it but buying a VR to experience a land base casino is too much, just use that $500+ and go to your local casino with your friends.

Probably you are new in the casino gambling events. Offline casinos, gamblers interact in the hall. There are times, there is serious argument among members in different clubs. So the Socialisation Interaction is always there. And sometimes, gambling starts from the viewing centers. From argument to real gambling. For online, casinos have not provided a chat for players where casino representatives can also answer questions. But VR is coming to it.

Now that you're talking about VR, I think that it is not even necessary, but it helps. Or maybe not. I explain myself.

More than a decade ago, I used to play in Second Life. For those too young to know what I'm talking about, it was some kind of videogame in 3D where people created their avatars and owned land. The innovation came because they invented their own coin inside the game (no blockchain though, fully centralised) so users started buying virtual items, speculating with territories, and, yes, gambling.

Although it was quite rudimentary, I remember playing slots there with other friends, and I have always thought that, the next time a 3D virtual world platform gains that kind of popularity, casinos will be there for sure. There were even concerts and university classes in SL back then, even if the graphics were quite basic, so why not?

But about VR, although the handset makes the experience more immersive, it is also a great barrier to entry Second Life didn't have, so I'm not sure if that will be the next big thing at least for a while.

I'm also interested in the social part. But it's hard to get that experience in an online casino.
I am from a country where gambling is illegal. There is no casino here.
I really want to feel the atmosphere, walking into a casino, playing games, chatting with other players (just like being in a bar, drinking and chatting), winning, and celebrating with friends. I am thinking of something like a Roblox game, but with an online casino feature, so we can interact (not just via a chat box) with other players.

That kind of innovation can really help people who enjoy socializing to have more fun. In the first place, online gambling should also be seen as a form of entertainment, so it makes sense that platforms keep improving and adding new features.

Personally, I’m not really into that, but I understand why younger users would like it and why it works for them. As for those suggesting going to land-based casinos instead, I don’t think that’s practical for everyone, especially for younger players who are already used to online gambling.

I like this idea but I don’t see a casino like this so far. Maybe on crypto casino projects powered by altcoin this is possible but it will fall under the P2E games rather than a standard online casino.

Most casino nowadays use the same format by offering original, slot, live and sports betting games since these are the games which many gamblers preferred.

As long as there’s no serious demand for this game I doubt casino will start adding or developing this game.

Surely the big players, like even stake, could put some money from their big ass bankroll to experiment with this idea, but it seems that none of them are experimenting. Just the same old cookie-cutter experiences designed to massively extract value from whales as fast as possible. Unless you guys think I'm actually crazy, but are we all certain there's no way to make online casino's more social? It just reminds me of the super early days of gaming when everything is single player (like most online casino's today) and then once someone cracked the network and revealed that you can play with others, it just took off. I'm speaking from my ass here, but I would argue multiplayer video games generate MUCH more revenue than single player games. Why should a casino game be any different? Money is just a proxy for a high score lol.

I don't know if such casinos exist today. But the purpose of every gambler is different, as is the enjoyment they get. Some indeed prefer going straight to the game, like in today's online casinos. Some may prefer land-based casinos where games with player interactions make them feel different. Multiplayer casinos with real interactions may indeed be interesting, especially for some of those who enjoy online games.

There was a time I was also thinking of it. Casinos online should have a chat for gamblers to interact which I made mentioned in my previous comment. And for the moment, there are some casinos that use Virtual Reality (VR). In my university day, a Roommate was using that. He was playing games online and he was also chatting with participants too. Casinos should provide chat box for gamblers. That is a good idea.

Social online casinos could be a thing if the reputable casinos will look into it but I think that for now most of us like the way online casinos are, the aim is for private gambling which I'm very much comfortable with. Social media is their for interactions and entertainment between users but when it comes to gambling online I prefer it to be personal except for sports bet that I can share tips with fellow bettors. For me the best interactive places for gamblers are physical casinos, you can go with friends or mix up with strangers to gamble and enjoy yourselves.

The sole purpose of casinos is to make profit, so they will not try to do anything that affects their business. If they can make a lot of money the way casinos are currently doing, why would they try to do something different online? In my opinion, these platforms will not change because when a gambler gambles online, his attention is only on the games, which is why he has no time and opportunity to think about anything else. But in social casinos, one can interact with another one very easily. There is more joy and excitement there, which I think is not possible online. Well, the online casino has live casino but you don't have to expect it to be exactly the way a land based casino would be where you will get to meet different people and also interact with them face to face. There's this new technology that is being talked about, the artificial visual reality where a gambler will wear an eye glasses and then connect to a casino with other players putting on that same glasses, an ear phone and a hand glove and then they will start to play their favorite game which will feel as if they are in a real casino. First things first, the definition of a "social" casino probably varies from person to person. What I mean by social casino, is an actual SOCIAL casino. I don't necessarily mean sweepstakes or playing with fake money. I just mean an interactive experience where it feels like you are going to casino with a friend. Not my friend just holding his phone and I sweat alongside next to him on facetime you know?

The only social casino that I can think of is land-based casinos, where you have singers, drinks, and laugh and play with your friends, and it makes betting secondary; in fact, land based casino wants you to think that their platform is a social casino so you can spend more time hanging with friends.

It's the best of fun you can get in gambling in a physical casino. I believe they still exist in your country, you should visit one if that's what you want. You ain't tied to only online casinos.

Gamblers in general aren't interested in socializing these days. As technology and internet evolves, people become more introvert and focused on their own personal universe, giving little importance to cheap talk on virtual platforms. There was a time when online chatting was a great and popular thing, but I see that now with AI people prefer to talk to the AI, instead of talking to other people.

I don't think there is a market for social casinos, because there isn't considerable demand for that. Innovation right now is being worked towards AI, what means giving more autonomy to internet users. It's crazy to think we have reached a stage where you don't need other people in order to have a conversation, as you can talk to AI about anything and have its total attention for the length of time you wish.

I think that there was this idea done by sandbox or another project that have made it into VR. It's the interest of the community that doesn't really get into it. There's not that much interest in it, I think it can be a separated thing for those who would like to go into casinos and just socialize with other gamblers. This is the practice for the physical casinos but for online, this is the place where they just want to spin the wheel and roll the dice without having any interaction to anybody and simply enjoy the fun that they can get with it.

I'm familiar with this movie. I watched all the parts as a matter of fact and even though it wasn't the first time I've seen a casino scene in a movie, I thoroughly enjoyed that one and I'd love to have that experience. If anything, for the fun of it.

As for Gather, I think it could work but it won't be the same. I've once attended a gaming conference of sorts at gather. We could use our mouse/keyboards to move our characters across the interactive environment and we could join any of the participating projects booths kinda like how people have to visit booths at IRL conferences. It might not match the feeling 1:1but its much better than the alternative of playing casino alone in your room with no friends.
