The fact that you have already given holding an upper hand over trading seems bias to me..

Personally I have seen and read how hodlers have committed suicide because markets lost value sharply and people couldn't stand it..so for me both holding a d trading have their own ups and downs.
I wouldn't really call it bias as you say. An investor needs to understand the difference between trading and investing and also understand what is within their tolerance in terms of risk. You need to understand why investing is considered less risky and trading is more risky.

Long term investors hold their positions regularly, so they have discipline. They invest regularly without expecting quick profits. The purpose of trading is dangerous because a trader expects how to earn more profit in a short period of time. Most of the time, traders have to make quick decisions. The desire for more profit leads to the tendency to use leverage, as a result of which most traders show instability in the fall in price and sometimes sell at a loss. Long term investors have patience and discipline, so they do not tend to sell at a loss, they get high profits after a certain period of time.

At times holding is far more better than trading. You don't always buy and sell every time. If you actually believe on what your holding, you just have to be patient and let time do the needful.

It is certainly true that holding assets is safer than trading; if your analysis proves flawed, you risk losing your capital, so I would suggest that holding is a better option than trading. With holding, there is no fear of completely losing your money; even if the market takes a downturn, it is likely to recover and grow later. Experts often advocate for a holding strategy, and I believe trading is not suitable for everyone. On the other hand, holding does not require complex strategies or extensive experience simply exercising patience can yield good results making it a much more accessible approach for everyone.

Very simple truthful and lovely sentence "holding is better than trading". There is no point to compare holding and trading because the difference is clear. As simple as what ever holding Bitcoin is actually beginners friendly but trading is not and trading gives people who are not into Bitcoin and those are completely afraid of Bitcoin the skepticism that has led to their misconception. They fear losing their resources not taking into consideration that Bitcoin is a long-term investment also.
This can be true for those who fail in trading and then switch to holding and finally found their success there. Or even to those who start with holding right away and haven't tried trading yet. So for those who are successful in trading, and even if they also tried holding, they can disagree with that because they know how quick the money can come in trading than in holding.

It is okay to compare since both are on the same line and it shows that we are listening to what the other can offer, or can make us to be not biased. Even though holding looks simple by default, but I'm sure the intimidation and risk is still there when we are starting.

Holding is better because it is simpler, less stressful, and something almost anyone can do. More importantly, history has shown that many people have become wealthy by holding Bitcoin long term, while only a very small percentage of trader can maintain consistent profit for many years.

Comparing the two is not even very meaningful because to some extent, trading has more in common with gambling than genuine investing.

The number of people and the percentage lose of funds associated with trading is very high and this triggers one of the misconceptions around Bitcoin (how that there are many loses in Bitcoin without consideration of long-term) and this is majorly against those who would like to come in contact with Bitcoin.(Would be Bitcoiners). Any traders who trading has so flavored should know that trading has failed more people than it has favored and so it is a bad idea not to state clearly that long-term holding of Bitcoin has profited more people than trading has. This leaves no room for comparison on which is better than because holding is obviously better than.

I accept your logic that holding assets is better than trading. I also have a logic that if the assets you hold do not have production capacity, you will be financially behind. Allocate an amount of funds for trading that you are willing to take the risk with or that you have the tolerance to lose funds even if the market falls too much. Trading is not only risky for you, but sometimes you can also earn high profits.

I also saying long term Bitcoin investment is better than short term trading. Of course trading is not suitable for everyone but long term Bitcoin accumulation is suitable for investors of all income levels. Hold Bitcoin instead of keeping your available funds idle. Accumulate Bitcoin regularly through discretionary income and have a long term mindset.

There has been so many hypes around trading and this have made people to loss money due to their attempts to make money and utilize the information they have learned and gathered about trading. There are so many ways we can make money from the market and trading and investment is part of them. Investing may be assumed to be a slow way to make money from the market while trading ca be see as a fast way to makw money. The two process can make us money and it all depends on the individual that is involved in this two activities.
Well spoken, people fall for trading hypes because of either ignorance or their mentality, when you meet skilled traders, if they what to be honest with you, they'll inform you that trading is not as people view it, although it can never be the same with hodling but having the right skills and staying patient helps trader not to make premature decisions that could be detrimental.
What you mean by investment being slow is the process, it is a gradual thing, which is the reason it's appropriate for investors to grasp that Patience and being persistent in investing with the funds you can afford and hodling for a long-term, can rewards investors overtime.

Indeed, trading is more about mastering certain skills, and once you do, you won't just start trading; you'll need to be prepared. Those who are trading and making money will tell you that you don't need to hold before you start making money, and the way it is, I feel like they even prefer trading over holding, so it's better to know which is best for you because there are people who make money from trading, and I'm sure they would have stopped.

We can't really say which is better, but when you look at it, I feel like everyone will talk about what makes them profitable, and that's how it's supposed to be. However, I think it's easy if you are trading and it doesn't favor you, and it's best to leave when it doesn't because there are traders who aren't making money and they're still sticking to what doesn't give them profits, and that's not how it's supposed to be.

You need to understand why investing is considered less risky and trading is more risky.
snip

Maybe more specifically, it's trading with leverage... because people who invest in penny stocks or high-risk companies are much riskier compared to those who trade on the spot market.. that's because if it's spot trading, a person doesn't need to worry about liquidation as long as they don't sell even if the price drops significantly, they can still hold the asset and wait for the market to recover, and then they can decide whether to sell it or not.

I find it very risky to trade daily, and I personally do not prefer it because many traders want to make a profit every day of the week; they lose everything due to their high profit expectations. Day trading is really risky. Its trading is very popular among those who expect quick profits, but most traders lose. Holding is definitely much safer than trading, because you may get a very late profit on holding, but there is no chance of losing as quickly as trading. I know most people fail at trading because they can't control their emotions for long.

If you want to be able to obtain something better than trading, you must be ready for trading, which is on a different level. The only way to lower risk is by holding. The only way to invest without losing a lot of money is to simply take a step toward holding if you are afraid to take on significant risk. People must comprehend, after which they must decide precisely what to do because that is the source of all problems. People are constantly afraid of losing money, so it's important to realize that trading is more complicated than holding, so if you want more flexibility, stick with holding.
Holding is always the best decision for us and is low-risk. Those of us who want to get rich quick or earn money in a short time jump into trading but trading is actually very risky where there is a sure possibility of losing our money because those of us who trade, we trade based on assumptions but we cannot trade by analyzing. If we cannot trade by analyzing then it will definitely be very risky for us and there will be a sure possibility of losing money that is why we should definitely hold and not trade because by holding we will not have any risk if we can only provide security to our invested wallet that will be enough for us and we will be successful by holding.

People think of trading as an easy way to get rich overnight, hoping to get rich quickly, but they are not really thinking about anything. Trading is a very risky place, here you may think that you can get rich very easily through trading, but when you start it, you will realize how risky it really is, and your losses will only increase every moment. It is not impossible to make good money from trading, but it is riskier than investing, and at the same time, learning trading also requires a long time. But if you decide to invest, then only expect long-term and invest consistently and hold on, in the long run you will get very good chances of success from it.

... because by holding we will not have any risk if we can only provide security to our invested wallet that will be enough for us and we will be successful by holding.

Holding doesnt mean there no risk since you have to remember that there are risks involved with investing in the first place.

The risk doesnt just come from market volatility or personal security. There's also the risk of investing at the wrong time, regulatory risk, or rare incidents like the Coldcard issue. On top of that, unexpected financial problem can force us to change our plans and sell our assets at a time we never wanted to....

Trading can actually be a way to get rich quickly. But what they don't realize is that everything comes with a price. Higher return always come with higher risk. There's no easy way or shortcut to getting rich quickly without paying price for it.

Holding cryptocurrency, and specifically Bitcoin, is the best strategy that can be used by both crypto enthusiasts and beginners.
And it’s especially great if it’s DCA - this strategy doesn’t require you to monitor the market at all or worry about the decline or rise in Bitcoin’s price, distributed accumulation, with proper and sensible money management, can yield amazing results, because we all know that Bitcoin is updating its ATH, which means you just need to accumulate it carefully, and it will pay off.

You see, the main difficulty here is that you need to mentally reach this strategy and understand all its advantages. After all, every person really likes not to understand other people’s experience and advice, but to learn things the hard way. Therefore, anyone who has even a small amount of greed in their character will try their hand at trading - most likely, even medium‑term or short‑term - and only when they lose 1 or 2 significant deposits will they realize that the best strategy is exactly what you described. But until then, you’re unlikely to convince them.

Trading is just for a short term benefit. When you need a safe and reduce of risk, is better you hold, because that is only thing that can minimize your risk and still give you profit for a long term when the price increases. Any good investor will always advise people to hold for long then trading. We most always think wisely, because am even sure that even traders always hold some of there coin for a long term, they didn’t focus only on trading, they hold some coin that they think will give them profit for some time. You’re right, patience is always the best thing you can do if you want something in life, traders lose but they are patient and continue chasing there dreams.

This should be something easy to do, people who want to invest just need to focus on accumulating Bitcoin, apply the DCA method and use discretionary funds.

Unfortunately, people are more interested in learning how to make a quick buck, their mindset has been warped by the desire to get rich from trading in a relatively short time, without considering the risks from the start. This is a reality we often see today. It’s not entirely their fault, though, since there are more mentors and influencers teaching about trading than about maintaining consistency in building a Bitcoin investment portfolio.

It's not everybody who loves holding, some persons are always after short term interest, they don't care holding their coin for long, they are people who are interested in making quick cash because there is something about holding, for you to be able to hold your coin, you must exercise patience, and must have that ability to keep your mind off the market because if you do, you will be tempted to take back your money.

However, the reason so many persons prefer holding is simply because of the lower risk involved in it, it is less risky na do not require much attention. While trading, you must always be alert to know what is going on in the market, to be able to make your withdrawals when necessary. One advantage of trading is that it can give you quick cash if you know how to trade.

Inasmuch as long term holders with conviction benefit more from Bitcoin cause it becomes valuable over a longer period, everyone has the right to choose what they want to do with their Bitcoin, it would be tough to convince someone without patience about holding except the person is determined to change.

Totally agreed, long term holding requires consistency which is a very good way of handling the negative side of volatility and ease the pressure of selling, so it's left for people to choose the risky or less risky way of profiting with Bitcoin.

Let me brief it.

Trading is good if you understand it, but some people will never understand how to trade but they will continue to lose. If you have been losing in trading, it is a good advise for you to just hold for bull market to come. You still have time to earn weekly or monthly and safe part of your money in bitcoin and make more researches but avoid shit coins. Do not let it be too late before you will understand this. There is opportunity in crypto.

But if you are making money in trading, it is good for you. Earn money and hold also.
Agree with the main point, the truth is that most retail traders lose money over the long haul, particularly those who pursue trading without a risk management plan.

The framing is a little too clear-cut though. It's not easy to hold either, and it takes a lot of mental strength to weather a drawdown of -50% to as much as -80% in a bear market. A lot of people also call themselves "holders" but when the real crash does happen, they go into panic-selling mode.

For me it's definitely not about trading vs holding, which one is better — it's about how honest you are with yourself about your skills and mindset. For those who tend to panic easily and are not disciplined, DCA + hold is more realistic. If you already have a proven system and solid risk management, trading is fine too.

Those who are greedy and want quick profits will naturally not be able to use any long-term strategy, and will not be able to apply the strategy well. In the case of holding, greed must be put aside, emotions must be put aside, fearful thoughts must be abandoned, and above all, you must be firmly committed to holding for the long term. Bitcoin will fluctuate at every moment and always in an unpredictable way, but you must be stable with yourself to save regularly according to your ability without worrying too much about price fluctuations. Those who can ignore the volatility and hold on in this way will ultimately achieve good success from Bitcoin with the best possible chance.

It is true that investing in Bitcoin is preferable to trading because, when it comes to risk, it will be better for you to simply find a way to know if you are going to be the risk taker or if you want to invest that is how it is supposed to be. This is because risk is one of the things that many people consider, and there are people who are taking the risk and making money from it. However, it is better if you know what you think is best for you because no one will make that decision for you.

Because of what is currently going on, when you offer advice to someone, it becomes an issue, and one thing that should be the top priority is figuring out which of them would favor you—trading or keeping. Because we can not because of the risk say trading is bad because there people making money from it.

Another thing l would just add is that just because somebody holds their Bitcoin for years doesn't mean he or she is disciplined. A person may keep on holding their bitcoins for years but whenever the market goes against them he or she may panic and sell them.

I believe the true benefit is that having a good plan before situations like this will occur. When the price begins to swing wildly, it's easier not to make emotional decisions if you already have an idea what you're holding for and you only invest what you can comfortably afford to leave untouched for years.
