Yes, this is certainly important, but beyond strictly limiting a dependent player's gambling, I'm also considering other approaches, such as getting them to understand the game, doing what they want, or asking themselves what will happen if they lose their entire bankroll. It's also important to try asking questions that the player might be reluctant to answer, but which they'll nevertheless begin to think about when left alone. These questions should focus on what they'll do when they lose their entire bankroll, or even a second one. They need to understand where they should stop, and it's better to do that sooner rather than later. You are right, addiction sometimes may look so easy and simple for someone who have not been addicted to anything but trust me it is not as simple and easy, getting away from it is not always easy because it is like a character that has been internalized and sometimes it takes only the grace of God for someone to recover or be revived because it is a disease that doesn't go so easily. One should not pray for addiction as it is capable of destroying live and that is why we are supposed to use what we can afford to lose so we don't chase it after loss.

Quitting and addicted habit is not an easy task though because it is a habit that has developed overtime and the addict is already used to it as a way of life, so it will be very difficult to stop so easily and such would only take a self will to achieve because as an addict, you neex to be convinced by your own self to achieve being free from addiction before any third party comes in because if your mind is not nade up to quit that habit, you never can change it except you agree with yourself to stop it with a conscious efforts and determination to do so.

Well, thanks very much for the tips you shared, I definitely agree with the tips but I will have to state it clearly that the best help a gambling addict can get is for him or her to start by agreeing that he or she is addicted to gambling and then start helping him or herself to come out from the addiction..

You will agree with me that just as the word of God made us know that one person can chase a thousand, but two people can chase ten thousand, results will be achieved way faster if the gambling addict helping him or her self to get free from the addiction, joined with the help of the person standing up for them, there will be a very faster result than when just one person is trying to help another who doesn't care or may not even be in need of help.

Best way is for the addicted gambler to quit gambling because that is the only way out. You should know that it boils down to the gambler if he's determined to quit gambling or not. If he's not determined to come out from gambling addiction, all your efforts will be in vain.

If the gambler is willing to come out from addiction, he should replace his gambling activities with other sports or activities to keep him busy. If an addict doesn't quit gambling, it will be difficult for him to come out from addiction.

Quitting just the way you said it will be difficult, but it’s true that the addicted gambler has to be determined to stop, before external help can come in, because you can’t be going about trying to find solutions when the person in question hasn’t made his or her mind to quit , and I think getting such person a job or other activities that will keep him very busy will also help him out ,if not helping an addicted gambler recover can be a whole lot , lastly family support and love is very very important at that crucial moment.

Right, it should start from themselves, that they have the mindset to really quit before help comes. Because if they keep on insisting that they are not addicted but then others says so, it might be very hard from outside to bring help.

Although I will share one experience with one of my addicted friend. Really lost a lot of money in the process and his family is begging him to stop. And then one day, they trick my friend that they are going to have a eat out, but then they go directly to a rehab facility and my friend didn't have any choice but to go with it.

And thank God after almost a half a year on the rehab facility, he was a change person and never go back to gambling.

You see with the help of his family, you can see how everything went , I had a  cousin brother who was so addicted that he even steal from his parents to gamble and sell his belongings so he could bet, everyone has advised , even registered him where he will go and learn a skill but he decided to abandon the place ,his always at the gambling shop, his parents went to even warn them not to allow him but yet it didn’t work , they have to call the police on him upon his release, he continued from where he stopped, so helping an addicted gambler when his not determined to stop is very difficult.

In this case, basically the closest people only provide support and encouragement so that they are free from gambling but cannot go beyond that because after all, to stop gambling when we are already in a fairly severe addiction phase is clearly a difficult thing and it is the strong desire of oneself that can make it happen.

But for me personally who is still gambling I still don't have the courage to tell my friends to stop gambling because I am also still gambling and it would be lame if I told others to stop while I am still doing it.

One thing about gambling addiction is that it is very easy to get rid of when the victim is ready to overcome the addiction by taking some steps, but when one is not ready, it becomes very difficult to defeat addiction. You will convince them hardly but they'll not listen to anybody on an instant until they have realized that it's time for a change.
