Hi mmortal03, Omni Core, the desktop client based on Bitcoin Core, is very close to a release. The third release candidate "rc3" is currently the latest version. The release candidates are not yet intended to be used in production environments. They were only announced to a smaller circle, such as the developer mailing list, and zathras posted a blog post. Check it out here: http://blog.omni.foundation/2015/11/13/omni-core-0-0-10-release-candidate/I expect more on this next week. great , working so hard just only for this , tks .

Does anyone from the dev team read tickets at zendesk? I created one and been waiting for 4 days for it to be resolved. I can't send funds from the online wallet ("Funds could not be sent: Error preparing transaction: undefined"). Edit: tried to do to it using different browsers with no plug-ings enabled, no luck. I'm not very familiar with the zendesk process, but I created https://github.com/OmniLayer/omniwallet/issues/1242 to track the issue right at the source level. It's already been raised on GH and was addressed to be asked via zendesk: https://github.com/OmniLayer/omniwallet/issues/1232I googled this before creating the ticket.

Infographic missing "Sidechains - This development will obviate the need for any third-party alt tokens."
I'd look into converting over prior to this happening, if you value your current stake.

This has not been proven to be the case. The jury is still out on sidechains.

I'm a crypto newbie and discovered mastercoin recently, and learnt that it was the first crypto 2.0 project, and raised a ton of funds. What happened? why is mastercoin doing so poorly compared to the competition? I don't mean to sound rude, just genuinely interested in piecing together what happened. I appreciate people are probably still working to make mastercoin a success in the future, but something must have gone wrong somewhere in the early days to lose first mover advantage and all the ico funds.
A classic story of hubris really. Would you believe that the counterparty folks once offered to actually help build mastercoin? Yep. It was almost once one cohesive project of Bitcoin 2.0 tech. Now it's nothing really, and the division that was sowed in the community lead the real corporations to simply build their own projects rather than collaborate with the bickering "communities" down here below. So yeah. Great idea, but ideas are not enough. Anyone have reference to this story here?

The organization was screwed and they realized they'd have to go at it on their own, so they left. This was before Counterparty was created.

He asked if "anyone" had the story, sorry if you don't like it. Also, I'm not sure if Robby or Adam have the time to comment on the Mastercon thread tbh, I think they're both quite busy.

There were multiple people/teams that were turned away from creating a bitcoind implementation during the first few months. The reason was, JR insisted that "he alone would create the reference client". Not sure why JR never did any programming. It would only be speculation that he is incapable, or maybe was too busy popping champagne.

I definitely never said anything like that, or turned anybody away who genuinely wanted to help out. The only person I turned away was this one random stranger who approached the foundation asking for a huge lump payment to develop the reference client for us. We actually briefly considered it, since he seemed possibly legitimate, but decided if it was too big a gamble. That guy went on to fork our project and create Counterparty. With the benefit of hindsight, I might choose differently if I did it over again, but with the information available at that time, it was the right decision not to hand over roughly half of our cash on hand (if I recall correctly) to a random guy approaching us on the internet. Oh, and there was this other really smart guy, not so random, who we asked to look at our protocol and make some suggestions. He came back with this really complicated scheme for turing complete money. I told him we needed to finish our core features before tackling something that ambitious. He took the idea and ran with it to become Ethereum.
