[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope

What really stops "one more" is a running out of bankroll or a technical device failure. The more you tolerate previous infractions, the more your brain will believe all risks are manageable. However, this shouldn't be considered normal, even though every gambler has to admit to having experienced it. I doubt this habit can be broken even if the person applies extreme funding limits, say they initially only want to spend half of their balance.

Maybe because people get desperate sometimes and the only thing they can rely on is the hope that the next bet will settle the things. The sad thing is that no matter for how long you’ve been loosing, there is no guarantee that you will win soon.

Have you ever said "just one more" and then stopped after that one? Or has that one more ever changed anything?

We experience or do that one more thing, it's natural for a gambler hoping that the next roll will be in our favor. I do that often, and I stop if that one more roll is not in our favor. We have to be true to ourselves. Once we say it's the last one, we should stick to it, or there will be no one left. If that last roll goes our way, I will just keep going until it's time for me to stop.

There have been many instances in gambling where I have said this many times but could not stop gambling. I expected the next bet to be my last bet of the day but the same result in the next bet created another challenging situation for me. Even if I win the next bet, it is not easy to stop gambling. It takes more mental preparation to place another bet later because once you win, the expectation of winning more increases. The pressure to recover the money lost earlier keeps us on the gambling board for a long time.

Most gamblers have experienced this. You're feeling down. Maybe a little, maybe a lot. And instead of shutting down and stopping, you find yourself thinking, "just one more." This time it will be different. This time it will fix it.

I am always at a loss for this experience. Before playing a normal gambling I make some plans and conduct myself accordingly. I bet the first bet with a very small amount of money, and take the next steps accordingly. If I lose the bet, I don't leave the loss behind but I can't keep the money if I make a profit. But when gamblers gamble for profit and are satisfied with little,It is easy for him to control himself. My case is a little different because I want more when the profit starts.

Any gambler that is after winning his next bet will continue gambling till he empty his bankroll. It has happened to me in the past because I was just too reluctant to stop the game after several losses and before I knew it, my false hope put me into a tight corner of losing my bankroll in just a session. Currently, I think the opposite way which is your next bet will be a loss.

It never fixes it. But that doesn't stop us from thinking about it.
I try to understand why this happens. And I don't think it's stupidity. Smart people fall into this trap too.

I think it's something deeper. The brain really believes that the next outcome will somehow negate the previous one. As if the universe owes you something.

Have you ever said "just one more" and then stopped after that one? Or has that one more ever changed anything?

Quite frankly, it does not happen to me because I understand there is no correlation between how other people could be doing at gambling and how I would do during my sessions. It is rather something which is experienced by people who do not understand how gambling works and believe profits by others are some kind of data which can be extrapolated to their future profits.

Also, not being able to stop, even after losing a lot of money and deluding oneself into believing one will eventually get one's money back it is a symptom of addiction.

Have you ever said "just one more" and then stopped after that one? Or has that one more ever changed anything?

This depend on your level of expert in gambling, you can't be going around doing what you don't know and expect good end, the result is going to remain the same no matter what. There are some gamblers that knows how to fix their shot together, if they encounter problem they go their to fix it and when you see their result the next time, they win. This is what many big influencers does when they lose money with their community unless you don't play with them.

Individually, I think you need to work on what makes you lose the first game if you lose a bet. Without doing that, you are likely going to make the same msiatke again and again and even if you refused to fix it, you will not win unless you are lucky for the day. However, even if you are good at what you do, learn to take your loss and not try to bet the next game, it's better you leave and go face other things that will help your game another time.

I had a similar experience, and I believe it is pretty common. I had consecutive losses and thought that maybe my next bet would be a win, but as I continued betting, I increased the amount, thinking that if I won, I'd recover all of my losses. However, the outcome was not as expected.
It's like greed is pushing you to bet one more time, and your brain tells you to place one last bet in the hopes of winning the jackpot or something similar.

I've learned from those mistakes that we must accept the fact that we cannot defeat the casino, and I believe that those who find themselves in the same situation are always expecting to profit from the casino. Changing your perspective about the casino helps avoid the same scenario.

It usually happens to me with wins, I will go for just one more and one more a few times before realising I am ran out of my luck already. And yeah, it is common to feel that way, if we win we will be assuming that this is our lucky day so we might win more or if we are losing, that will trigger a different mindset that as per the "Law of average" we are due for a win, but these all are mere assumptions that has no actual thing to back.

Now that I think about it, this situation occurs when we're winning too. When we're already winning, we keep playing with the thought that we'll win again. When we're losing, the mindset of 'how much more can I lose, I'll start winning eventually' takes over and we continue playing. In both cases, losing becomes inevitable.

There's nothing wrong with wishing or thinking that way; hope is born with us in everything we do, so why not in gambling as well? We have been used to thinking that good things will soon come and that bad things are not forever; even in a game of uncertainty, we apply that rule.

In my experience, that one more will make it worse.

It's almost that one last deposit that will hurt us because we are ready to give up, and yet we are given a chance to avenge with some wins that are not going to last long. It's just something that will make us play more, but it will end shortly.
It will not fix anything. Might as well stop if we are experiencing a losing streak. That means there must be nothing that will come right as we keep on betting.

More than that, what we can see is our mind wants to keep betting irrespective of whether we win or lose, because that's how our mind is set about gambling. Instead of beating this what we need to do is to realize that we need to change our mindset first because winning or losing doesn't change anything with the wrong mindset.

When I newly started gambling, I won't say I didn't have this feeling because I did, I was playing and sometimes when I want to take a break from playing at that moment, I might just hear an inner voice telling me that I should try the last hand and even when I do, it might still end up bad until I exhaust my money before I will finally leave. I learned to bet better from my past experiences.

Most gamblers have experienced this. You're feeling down. Maybe a little, maybe a lot. And instead of shutting down and stopping, you find yourself thinking, "just one more." This time it will be different. This time it will fix it.
This is gambling anything can happen at the last minute just exactly when you plan to quit. It is not wrong to think the next bet would fix it. Yes it can fix it, but don't over do it, always know when to quit. The rule of gambling, says don't chase your losses and don't chase win, after a few bet quit if what you are looking for you cant find it.

I think it's something deeper. The brain really believes that the next outcome will somehow negate the previous one. As if the universe owes you something.

Have you ever said "just one more" and then stopped after that one? Or has that one more ever changed anything?
We are in control of our brain. It is the gambler who thinks the next game will fix it. Knowledge in gambling matters a lot.

The other day I heard about a man who was on a brink to sell a kidney because he lost almost all his money to gambling, and the day before the meeting to be informed about the procedure, he won €6.000 that allowed him to get out of the rut and decided to get treatment.

In that case, the next (and last) bet fixed it, but if we talk about that case it is precisely because it is extraordinary. In the vast majority of cases, the next bet does not fix anything.

Everything possible when it comes to gambling.

But we ought to be realistic with ourself everyone and then. It's not ideal to complicate things which inturn leads to losses. Losses can be recovered, but don't try to lie to yourself that you've got this when you obviously don't. In gambling we play against a set of unrealistic outcome, where each toss is either close or further away from them next win.

You just can't tell yourself you will win then next and expect to eventually win. You end up in losses, ideally making money for the casino instead.

That voice that keeps telling a gambier to go one more time, is actually a common trap in gambling, a trap that almost every gambler may have encountered, few are able to escape it, while many end up falling for it, and the only mission of this trap is to keep you in a loop, where you’ll keep chasing losses until you’re completely drained out.  Yeah it’s good to learn from experiences like this, but the lessons are often times nothing if the gambler fails to set some strict limits and have the discipline to stick to those limits.

Indeed, the voice often prompts the player to make the next move with a bet, but I've experienced this firsthand and can say that this is a very serious mistake. Because even if the player makes it and wins, it won't be the right one. It's important to understand that over the long term, the player may believe they'll win often this way, but in reality, it's simply the influence of emotions and the player's inability to finish in time and leave, ending the gaming session. Today, I don't make this mistake because I understand the importance of maintaining discipline and a balance of emotions and desires, and I'm absolutely certain I will never make such bets again.

Have you ever said "just one more" and then stopped after that one? Or has that one more ever changed anything?

I used to be like that because I experienced winning after I gave myself another chance, and once you experience that, you will always look at it and hope you can repeat it.
I have varied experience on this. I stopped when that one more roll failed, or I continued when I hit a win. Sometimes it's worth giving yourself a chance, but after giving and failing, you have to stick to your decision to stop.
