I think having some form of content to funnel buyers to my Tesla referral link would be helpful for sure. I don’t know how the charging of the Cybercab is going to work, but if referrals = free electricity, it would be huge having a way to gather referrals. It would also help Tesla buyers save some money.

Driverless cars are gradually stepping into the mainstream as a means of transport. Although, it’s always raised a lot of concerns and skepticism given that, there can be glitches and you don’t know how this might respond not to mention the various car thefts. There should be a crazy safety future with these cars because, it’s what you rely on in any eventuality especially with the fact that, it takes one crazy driver to run into you and ruin your cruise in a driverless car.

A driverless car would always be a reason for concern cause these machines can't react and make split second decisions when faced with a situation or perhaps a traffic accident that requires such. These are machines and no matter how advanced their Ai might be, people using such services should be well informed about its limitations.

It is pretty childish to call people out just because they like or dislike something.

After reading your first point, the second point was what I immediately thought of.  Bitcoin faced a lot too, but once you used it the truth was clear that it was the future.  Robotaxis (full self driving) is no different.  Once you've see how good it works, you can't deny it.  It is the future for sure.  It reminded me of the first time I used an iPhone, or ordered something from Amazon, or instantly transferred BTC across the world...  You can tell it is going to change the way everyone does everything.  Only a matter of time for the rest of the world to realize the same conclusion.

Cybercabs are being spotted driving themselves around Austin, Texas today! Looks like Tesla is getting them out on the streets before the event next Thursday. Pretty clear sign they will be going live after the event. I expect they’ll expand quickly and hope I can get an order in before the end of the year.

Tesla does a very good job of advertising, and as you said, they probably put these on the streets before the event to attract more attention. They manage to attract attention with what they do while marketing their products, and thus generate more profit. They have a very good marketing strategy.

They will expand rapidly and their numbers will increase. Looking at the preparations, this seems to be the case. There are always risks in such endeavors. It's clear that autonomous driving will become more widespread over time. Companies must carefully conduct their work to eliminate the risks.

I had no idea Tesla never advertised, and I never thought about that since we do not have Tesla readily available in my country. From what I understand, the hate for Elon and his companies started the moment he started supporting Trump. He was the green savior of the left before that, and since he identified the madness and shifted his opinions, he is the enemy now.

They do; maybe they are not doing it in the USA, I would not know, but they do ads in my country, and by a lot. And if that's not enough, they also do "discounts", which is marketing; sure, maybe it is not ads, but that is still marketing, and Twitter itself is filled with Tesla ads everywhere as well, and we have billboards in my country filled with Tesla ads as well. So I am not entirely sure where this ads thing came from; maybe they are not doing it in the USA or something, that could be the thing. But I know that within the EU, they are doing it.

And mainly it is about how "green" it is, as in it is good for the world to use Tesla and not use any diesel car, which is true, but Tesla is not the only green car; it used to be dominating, but these last few years we have seen more and more BYD Chinese cars on the streets as well. In the end, Tesla is just a corporation, and just like any other corporation, they are greedy, so do not think that they are doing it for the good of the earth or anything like that.

$30k for a Cybercab is a cheap price tag and if it performs well then it could earn that amount within 1 to 2 years. However, it also depends on the locations where someone uses it, in first world countries one could make such amount within a year or two but such a thing isn't possible in third world countries. Still, it's a good one and those who're after it should probably give it a try.

Driverless cabs cannot even survive in third-world countries since it is built on safe driving practices. Here risky driving is the order of the day and if you wait for the road to be very safe before journeying, you can take forever to get to your destination.

Man, you're not used to this kind of life, so don't wave it off totally, but I get your point, it's crazy to hand over the wheels to some robot on the risky roads. I want you to understand that life itself is a risk, accidents still happen even when people drive. It is not a case of bootlickers, people are more open to innovation than others. I would consider getting one if I have the funds and live in a better country_{since It's a financial mistake to get this now with respect to the condition of the roads and traffic in my country}

~2,500 VIN numbers for Cybercabs now exist… Nearly 100 licensed today in Texas for Thursday’s event… People still don’t believe this is real and it’s about to hit them in the face. I really hope on Thursday we get an order button. This is probably the biggest society changing moment since the iPhone and people are just as unaware of what is coming (I had the first iPhone, the responses to it were hilarious).

I've been thinking that the pace of technological development has slowed down in recent years. But with the rapid development of AI and its becoming visibly useful in everyday life, it feels like we're entering a new era.

Cybercab is one of the major breakthroughs. I'm sure they'll keep improving it and a few decades from now, it'll offer a much better experience to the end user. Taxi driver profession will become a thing of the past.

Then I look at my own country. We have a yellow taxi lobby that doesn't even allow companies like Uber to operate freely. It'll take years for these Cybercabs to get here. In fact, if government don't change their mindset and vision, they may never come at all.

That technology they introduce like the existence of Cybercab shows how the technology moves so fast. Ai really reshapes the life of people. In countries on which traditional taxi's exist can't expect to see a fast growth, since there are lots of people will get affected on it and this might result to massive job lost.

This is also the reason I think third world countries will struggle to adapt on the technology, since aside that they cannot afford to experience massive job loss from taxi drivers, also they are not capable financially to roll out this technology.

For sure there's more improvements to come in future and love to see those poor countries develop, then could adapt on new technology like this in future.
