Who else should be held responsible apart from the government, one of the things that causes bad economy is wrong policies by the head of government which I believe is the executive and their economic teams, the citizens has no hands in what happens to the economy, just take for instance a nation that depends mainly in finished goods from other countries, a nation that's lacking in production capacity, all these are caused by government inability to stel up their their plans, we have some countries in Africa that has raw materials in excess some of these raw material can not be refined to it's finished state in their country there by making it difficult to tap all the benefit that comes such natural resources, just as I said, the government should be blamed for whatever befalls a country economically.

I also see that in my country and it seems there is no other solution besides just being able to watch what the government does with all its corruption, and I think it will be very difficult to stop.
And what must be remembered is that the government will never be responsible for our lives, and I believe this happens in every country, especially in developing countries, of course, this is very excessive, so don't expect anything and just focus on working hard.
Developing countries are underdeveloped, so the government's concern for its people is clearly not complete. However, in developed countries, the government's concern for its people is complete, as the government even provides a living allowance for its citizens, even if the amount is only enough for daily living. The government are the custodians of the people they are responsible for everything that is happening and that is why the government is a system and they control  every other body and they will need and what ever challenges we are facing now the number one person to be blamed is the government because the citizens are doing everything in there power just to see that they do there own part even if it is forcefully and they should get and a lot of things should have been better if the government is actually very responsible because all what is happening now they would have done better.

And like in our country were what we do is to consume rather than produce is actually very bad and they don't care about anything so they just have to subject people to hardship and even with all the resources available, the revenue generated and many more so a lot of things have mentioned who wouldn't you say we are going to be blaming, we just need a lot of changes in different ways especially the way the government is been operated.

I think this post is meant to be created in the Nigerian Local board, as I believe the context of this post is mainly talking about Nigeria. Although I won’t blame you for making the post here as I can clearly see that you are a newbie and probably you are still finding your way around the forum. You should move the topic to the Nigerian local board. Even without asking, ordinarily you should know that the government are responsible for the economy, as they formulate policies that determine if the economy will function well or do badly. The answer to your question is Yes, the government are responsible for bad economy.
It is not entirely the government's fault they can influence the economic condition but they cannot control the behaviour of every thing in the country including the traders or the transport operators or the consumers. There are many other factors that can influence the prices including the competition among the traders. The prices of the product sometimes fluctuate because of their supply and demand and their competitions. Countries who havely dely on the price control mechanism have to face shortage or the reduce investment.
The issue is that government is a complete failure it is the combination of the economic in stability and the structural weakness of a country that cannot be solved by only controlling the prices.

And you need to know that the person in charge of everything in the country is the government, it is absolute because they are in charge, it is natural that many people blame the government because it has become a form of responsibility, if you don't know that the government can intervene in supply and demand, support economic activities, unite entrepreneurs, make investment policies and so on that can be managed by the government for economic growth, that's why the government also likes to inject funds into the economy and lend out controlling people entering and leaving the country is the authority of the government even from small things like transactions cannot be separated from government control, so if your country is experiencing economic, educational, moral problems then look first the most responsible is the government before talking about others because they are unable to manage the country.

If we don't see the government as the cause of our problem who should be channel the blame to is it you and me that has not to offer when it has to do with leadership decisions.  There is one thing I don't always forget,  which is every one has there own functions in the country, the same way that of the citizens is to Obey rules and other same also is that of the government to provide a suitable economy that will provide a moderate life for citizens but because we lack quality leaders with good intentions is the only reasons leaders takeoff themselves from there duties at all time.

At least Donald Trump has showed the world that he alone is capable of creating havoc in the world by disrupting free trades between countries with his tariffs trade war policies on multiple countries at once. And there is also the Iran war launched by Donald Trump together with Israel, with the Strait of Hormuz being closed for such a long time now, the whole world is paying the high prices of oil and gas, economies of every countries are surely getting affected if the Strait of Hormuz continues to be shut down. I would said that the government does have great responsibility in economies as every single decision they made would eventually affect the whole society.

Corruption in common in all departments and people are doing corruption because they want to earn money without any effort and people are doing scam with people and economy of country is doing down of these countries.  Government can control all departments and they can produce jobs but jobs are debt on the country and if more  people of the country will do work they will earn money and country will grow on International level and if more people will be free and do not work and country economy will go down and country economy could collapse. Government can control the economy of the country and USA is controling the economy of whole World.

I agree with you. Corrupt countries can never be truly developed, and it will be difficult to be in the future. It is not enough to judge only by infrastructural development. We need to analyze the standard of living of the people there to understand how much better they are actually living. In many cases, it is seen that only relatively wealthy people can live a better life. But the lives of ordinary people are very difficult. There are many people who cannot get a proper job or find a permanent income opportunity. Therefore, in my opinion, a country can be called truly developed only when all the people of that country are able to fulfill their common needs and there is no place for corruption.

It is almost impossible to find a country completely free of corruption in the real world. Even in the so called developed western countries, corruption persists in other forms through lobbying or big corporate scams, which waste the tax money of the common people. The real point is that development can never begin if a country is completely free of corruption and will develop but rather efforts must be made to increase accountability along with the creation of infrastructure. Therefore instead of waiting for a 100% ideal society, it is necessary to find a realistic way to increase the income opportunities of the common people within the existing flawed system.

That is true. No country in the world can completely eliminate corruption, not even the most developed and wealthiest countries, such as the United States, Japan, or Germany.
Corruption will never disappear completely because it is human behavior and nature. Wherever there are people, there will be corruption.

There are many causes and reasons why a country's economy can become weak. Each country has its own unique challenges and difficulties. Economic weakness is an extremely complex issue and should not be blamed on corruption alone.

That’s true, developing and underdeveloped countries are the only once experiencing all these sort of deep corruption, although some of them still have some corruption but it is not obvious like in under developed countries where corruption is rampant and don’t have control due to how the government are corrupt and selfish, they make it obvious that they are currupt that always don’t do the right thing to the citizens which always lead to unemployment, inflation, and lack of security in the countries.

The government should always be held responsible for everything that happen in their countries, because if they do the right thing, everything will be in place and the citizens will be happy always, but if they didn’t do the right thing, the country will go backward which will affect the economy of the country.

When the economy of a country is bad, the government is always responsible, because all these things you mentioned here can be regulated, and controlled by the federal government of Nigeria. For instance, the issue of insecurity in in Nigeria, you don't expect an ordinary people to fight against it, it is the federal government that is in position to do that.
When something is affecting the entire country, it is the government that can control it.
As government in power, when any decision is being made, it has to be carried out to the letter.
There are situations that will warrant the government to send out people to the market regulating prices of goods, and whoever that is found deviating from the government order will be punished, with this action, people will take precautions, and be well behaved.

In the area of infrastructural development, it is necessary to know that, though funds are allocated for this projects, but no supervision, thesame people that awards these contact still connive with the contractors to eat the contract money. If really you mean to develop your country, any contract issued out would be properly supervised, and monitored, and then you will achieve more appropriate result.

Honestly, in every bad economy, the government is a major contributor.

In some nations, citizens are to be blamed for bad economy situation. To be honest current Nigeria economy situation failed due to incompetence and corruption of their government, every one knows that majority of Nigerian citizens are law breakers but the government contribution to bad economy is far beyond of how the ordinary citizens contributed to it. Because the major key infrastructures that country is prouding of in times of economy growth, Example like refinery,  education, electricity, peace and Healthcare systems, are not in good condition. Currently in Nigeria, it's very difficult for government to tackle common insecurity, which will lead to lack of motivation to the investors to invest in the country.

One will always find some problem, no citizen of any country can be completely satisfied with the government, this is the same in every country. Every person's thinking, needs and views are different, so it is not the case that everyone will like the work of the government, that is why there will always be people who oppose it. There has never been, is not yet, and probably will not be in the future, such a country in the history of the world, where every citizen is completely satisfied with the government, the state system or every decision. However, citizens should also understand that managing a state is not an easy task, so nothing will be 100% perfect.

There no way citizens are to be blamed for a failed economy.  Just like the way things are supposed to be, every body has there own role to play in the society and one can not do the one for others. Just as established,  I is the government's duty to provide a conducive and habitable economy for citizens while that of the citizens is to obey the said laws and other, so once the government fails it should not be Channelled to the citizens directly or indirectly for any reason. Once any government know and carry out there responsibilities in the country there is know way something different can come up at last so let us not redirect the blame of others to the other party because of any reason.

Looking from the side of reality with the circumstances that often occur is an economy that is indeed unstable and of course love will not be able to overcome the reality of an unstable economic situation.

In my neighborhood, many of them get married at an age that is not supposed to be, meaning that at that age they should still focus on having a career first, and I don't know what they think about getting married so quickly, fortunately if the situation helps where the stable income they have makes everything go well.

The same as impossible to find a country where all its citizens honestly will be satisfied with government and decisions they take. There will be always those who think that "they would do better". People who will be against every decision government take (then it is strange why those people never put forward their candidacy for a government post). No matter what government do - people are always against it. It is a rare case when citizens approve how budget is used and distributed.

People have their own demands and dissatisfaction, so even if the government in their country done lot of great things to improve their country also the lives of their citizens there are still people saying negative things on their government.

There's provably no perfect government, but at least people should look at the effort inserted by their officials. If they are working good then praise them, but if not and they are facing lots of corruption issues then criticized them.

That's right, you will never find a country in the world that is completely free of corruption. That is simply not possible, because greed is part of human nature. Developed countries are not without corruption. Rather corruption is controlled to some extent better than in developing countries. What makes the difference lies in institutions, legal systems, and transparency...

This is the Corruption Perception Index for 2025, and as you can see, no country in the world is completely free of corruption.

That specific thought and direction you are seeing the matter is far from what it is. It can never be the choice of any president to cause chaos all over the world. Looking at the what happened you will be able to know and see that his actions was basically because he has seen the threat about to distrust the world peace that is if they allow iran to accomplish there selfish desires. Apart from that of iran, if you consider his actions on the strike in Nigeria and Venezuela,  you will see that all is for the good and betterment of this same countries he invaded there privacy. Therefore I don’t accept your opinion about him causing havoc in the world.
