I'll go for Fury here; skill set and motivation, he has an edge over Joshua, but of course this is Joshua, and we cannot underestimate him.

Same here. Joshua's last fight still felt pretty much the same to me, nothing really changed. Yes, he was able to get back up last time, but he was fighting someone who is not as skilled as Fury. As long as Fury prepares properly for this fight, I think winning should not be a big problem for him. I don't even see Joshua as better than Wilder, so I would not be surprised if this fight ends early with Fury winning by KO.

Yeah it does, Joshua is considered the underdog in this fight and i am a bit surprised by that. In the bookie i use, right now a win for Joshua is at 2.46 odds, while a Tyson Fury victory is at 1.44 odds. Honestly, i expected the odds to be much more closer than this. Though there would still be changes in the odds from now up until the fight happens, but clearly more people are backing Fury to come out on top in this fight, maybe i need to rethink my pick, lol.

I anticipate that Joshua will be viewed as the underdog in this matchup because of his earlier performance against Usyk, among other factors. However, I see him emerging victorious in this upcoming fight against Tyson Fury following his emotional win over Kristian Prenga in Riyadh; I’m convinced he’ll be a formidable force in the ring the next time he faces another opponent.

I also go for Fury. I think Fury can dominate Joshua with his style of boxing. Also, Fury is more experienced when fighting elite boxers and knows what to do in an unfavorable situation since he knows when to clinch and is better at disrupting opponents.  Although Joshua has more explosive punching power, I still think Fury can easily neutralize that because of his better movement.

Fury's next fight, the guy just can't seem to stop. He's announced his retirement several times, but each time he wants to make a little more money. Joshua is trying to make a comeback, but I think his chin is still weak. Although I like that he's changed his coaching staff. But honestly, judging by his last fight, I can't say he's improved much defensively.

You still have a lot of rethinking time left. If I'm not mistaken, the fight doesn't even have a final date yet.

Anyway, I'm not surprised that Joshua is the underdog. Overall, Fury is the better and the more dangerous fighter. And considering how Joshua was almost upset by a low-tier fighter in Prenga, even floored twice in the opening round itself, it's more or less expected that he'd be the underdog. Plus, of course, if the fight goes the distance, Joshua has a much smaller gas tank.

I anticipate that Joshua will be viewed as the underdog in this matchup because of his earlier performance against Usyk...

Joshua was last defeated by Usyk 4 years ago. I wonder how that fight affects his odds in this upcoming fight.

Same here, i will also go for Fury via knockout. Joshua's confidence has left on him long time ago when Andy Ruiz defeated him and in his last fight, he almost lost it with an unknown fighter. I agree that Fury is more experienced and that clinching always gives him the favor because of his weight that tired his opponents and also he could easily recover from a knockdown as what we have seen in the Wilder fight but i doubt that Joshua could knock him down.

Does anyone have the latest news updates or rumors on where this fight might be? The last news update I have heard is Anthony Joshua wants this to be in the United Kingdom, however, it appears that the Arab billionaire is telling Joshua to keep quiet and have the fight in Madison Square Garden. However, according to uncle Dana, he does not care hehehe. He will bring these boxers where they want to fight!
As per daily mail, the fight will be still at MSG. I like the way Eddie is thinking this game is too big to happen in UK, and moving it to US will also give more benefit in term of financial by receive more money from selling ticket and PPV that may cost more.

Yes, it appears that this was a business decision. If these boxers want to get their purse, they should listen to the promoter or the fight will be cancelled and the boxers will not receive any money.

It appears Anthony Joshua was certainly forced to keep quiet by the billionaire Arab master Turki. This also made us witness who are the new masters of the sport of boxing. Uncle Dana and Master Turki of Zuffa boxing hehehe.

Tyson Fury has a very unusual relationship with retirement Grin. when ever I hear him say his retirement speech I just laugh.
When he fights a big fight with the emotions that comes with the fight he just announce his retirement and when his calms he comes back to fight.
When he gives his retirement speech don’t interpret it to mean “I will never box again.” His retirement speech means “I’m emotionally drained for now, I won’t fight for some time, but I will come back to fight later.” Grin

When Joshua fought against Kristian Prenga, this year he was knocked down twice, and to be honest this makes me worry about Joshua however, I still believe he can actually improve very well.

I’m not sure I believe this will actually happen yet. If it does, I think Fury is in trouble. I don’t think he’s fighting at the same level as he once was. Joshua on the other hand just nearly ripped Jake Paul’s face off. I think Fury knows this wouldn’t be good for him. I don’t think this fight ends up happening.

Joshua almost got knocked out in a tuneup fight. Almost any decent journeyman would have probably beaten Jake Paul, that is not an impressive accomplishment. Fury might be thinking this is the easiest £100 million anybody has ever earned in one night.

I don’t really agree with them moving the fight to New York, where it is going to be just another ordinary fight in the long history of Madison Square Garden. The atmosphere would have been insane somewhere like Wembley. I do understand the reasoning however, because Netflix has had much more success with fights that have aired in U.S. primetime. Canelo vs. Crawford, Carano vs. Rousey, AJ vs. Paul and Tyson vs. Paul all had very high viewership.

This was surely a good matchup since it was already talked about for so long. Now that it's confirmed surely this is a huge news.

For me, probably Joshua can knockout fury in a fight, his heavyweight punches really have a huge amount of power into it and for sure Tyson was not going to easily survive that, because his been knocked down a lot of times in a fight so it's surely not impossible to make him drop. I really like Fury's movements; even though he was a heavyweight his surely likes to move like Ali. I mean, that style is really for show. His a cocky guy and he was drop by Steve back then but still won.

For me, Tyson Fury is just gonna win this match easily....

Yeah it does, Joshua is considered the underdog in this fight and i am a bit surprised by that. I am also very much surprised that Joshua is an underdog. If I look on Fury and Joshua latest opponents, then for me Joshua fought (does not matter won or lost) stronger guys. Just ignore Jake Paul in his record. Joshua KOed, won or lost to boxers in prime or in their perfect age for boxing. Fury wasnt as active as Joshua, went full distance with average Makhmudov, it took him 7 rounds to finish beaten veteran Wach. Fury isnt mentally stable with his retirements and returns. And he is a favorite? I look like AJ is going to be first to knockout Fury Cheesy

Could Fury be eating nandrolone-laced boar again and the bookies know about it?  Roll Eyes
For me, Joshua also looks like a more reliable choice, simply because of his discipline and attitude towards boxing. Fury is a much bigger brand than Joshua, which is probably why cashflow skews the odds in his favor. But such an imbalance of 1.44 - 2.56 suggests that you should bet on Joshua, as for a knockout, it is far from a fact, Fury has an iron head. The maximum possible result is a technical knockout.

That nandrolone jokes always came when Fury's name has been mentioned. Cheesy

No doubt Fury is more popular and could attract more money, but recent action done by Joshua and his discipline make him a stable choice towards this match up. What's more interesting here is for sure its hard to see Fury will get knockout, because we all know his so durable.

So well let see if Joshua could prove people wrong for thinking about his the underdog in this match.

What was the point for Fury to fight Wach and Makhmudov? When he was in prime he used to fight once a year. Now within 3 months he had 2 fights. Fights against nobody-today-in-boxing-world. These two fights showed how rusty Fury became. Now he is planned to have a third fight in 2026. Seems like a bad joke to me. If those two fights were to test him after retirement and pause, then he is not ready for AJ. With ~1.50 odds on Fury, someone is trying to sell us shit.

Most probably its for the money. If he believes he can handle that fight, then I dont see why he would not do it. Maybe its also one way for him to stay active and fully prepare for the bigger fight with Joshua.

As long as there is no contract preventing him from taking another fight, I dont really see a problem with it.

I remember Mayweather also had something similar before when he was taking exhibition fights even with bigger fights being discussed. The problem only comes if there is already a contract and he ends up violating it. I think that was even a hot topic before.

Seems like there are delays and there are situations where people are not entirely sure if this will work or not. I mean, it looks like maybe it will be happening, but there are possibilities on the news that say that it "may" not happen as well. If these delays continue, then it will surely not happen.

I think the financial part of the boxing world is not as good as other sports; people should get guaranteed money and be paid as soon as the fight is over, like literally that day, but most of the time that doesn't happen. In any case, if this fight is postponed, then it is fine, but if it is cancelled for any reason, then fans will be very pissed off. People have been waiting for these two to fight for a long time.

Based on the report, it seems that way, but isnt this nothing new anymore? Things like this happen in boxing, especially when both boxers are superstars, one wants a bigger slice of the pie and the other wants the same, so sometimes they just cannot agree.

But I would not worry too much, there is still time and I believe this fight will eventually happen because there is too much money involved. Both boxers are not undefeated anymore anyway, so maybe they are also just building more hype around the fight and making the fans more excited.

It's probably not going to happen this year if they still haven't finalized the contract, this is a big fight so both fighters will need enough time to prepare, and with Fury still having other fights, it doesn't seem like Joshua is the priority this year.

Of course while they're still negotiating, both of them can continue fighting other boxers. Most likely we'll see it next year, but these guys are getting older already, hopefully they finally settle everything and make the fight happen.

I anticipate that Joshua will be viewed as the underdog in this matchup because of his earlier performance against Usyk...

Joshua was last defeated by Usyk 4 years ago. I wonder how that fight affects his odds in this upcoming fight.
Since they both lost to Oleksandr Usyk twice, I'm not sure how the odds are calculated either, but from what I understand, sports odds used by bookmakers are based on where fans put their money to make sure the sportsbook has a chance of making a profit; that's why the odds change sometimes. They also assess physical characteristics, previous defeats, defensive prowess, and recent performance.
