Bitcoin is a topic that will never stop being discussed as it is now in almost everyone's pocket. Excessive discussion can have an impact on your personal life especially if bitcoin is illegal in your country. Criminals can steal your leaked exchange data or fund data and can also come to this forum and harm you. When these digital assets are linked to real world identities they can be exploited to your advantage through wrench attacks or brute force attacks. I read a report a few days ago where kidnappers kidnapped someone and demanded bitcoin as a ransom. So it is important to protect your privacy so that no one can know the amount of your funds.

When it’s revolutionary, it stays in the mainstream of a lot of discussions because, people need to hear it and be informed on it while, taking it for its benefits. Of course the threat such as we’ve began to see are there which are related to physical harm and just how much you can be jumped off at a goal but, it hints on the need to take your security seriously and why you shouldn’t rely on a single wallet for storing your Bitcoin. Having 2 or 3 wallets where you can starch some sum that wouldn’t hurt letting go in any eventuality can work too.

This is what's scary these days. The safety of a bitcoiner also lies into their hands. If they have opened up the discussion about Bitcoin to the wrong people, they might put their lives into jeopardy. I see nothing wrong with promoting Bitcoin but if you do care of what's happening in the surroundings with violence and crimes related to Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies. We will have that second thought if we'll talk about it in public with people we know. Because we cannot be sure anymore with these people even we are friends with them because whenever money talks, a lot of ears listen.

This makes sense even without over-flogging the issue. People are getting killed for crypto and common sense should tell everyone that you do not flaunt crypto ownership these days, especially if you own a lot of it. I think the primary targets of kidnappers are crypto influencers and all those crypto guys on X and Instagram. Everyone ought to exercise some restraint.

I don't really see anything wrong with talking about the bitcoin,  the problem is who are talking about bitcoin with; and why? If you have a friend who knows about bitcoin and ask a couple of questions just for more clarity, you would definitely need to respond to that question if you have an answer.

Flaunting crypto ownership is quite different from educating interested persons about bitcoin, maybe not publicly but in a private space. It is profitable knowledge to thread careful when talking about bitcoin but that depends on the situation, it does not mean sharing how much bitcoin you own or earn through trading.

I understand the angle you are going at but the truth is that bitcoin promotion can be done in different ways just like how we do it in the forum here and which is well known does not cause any harm or any reason to raise alarm.

I still feel there is still need for bitcoin promotion, so many people know about it but not everyone knows about it, it can still be promoted in a safe way that wouldn’t cause any harm and also stopping bitcoin promotion will not stop hackers from stealing.
The bitcoin promotion on the forum here has really helped a lot of people who don’t know or have little knowledge about bitcoin gain more knowledge, as well as grooming them into good investors which is a good thing.

I'm only promoting Bitcoin to people I know, even if I preach about Bitcoin to a stranger, that must have been due to a public discussions which leads to such conversation where I start talking in details about the advantage of Bitcoin and why Bitcoin is a good asset that one need to invest on. Even if I have to teach Bitcoin to someone, I don't mention whether I invested in it  or not but I just give handful of information that is needed to have the person started if actually they have the desire to invest om Bitcoin.

Maybe people you think you know? Because I bet you that all those people you claimed you know are still stranger to you in the end, my point is that evil people don't appear unreliable, they come into our lives with sheep clothes not that of a lion. The people he know might be his immediate family and friends, people can betray you but some family are well connected and it's not that deep like you said but then, it doesn't mean everyone around you are evil, some people don't joke with family, if you are lucky to have one, you will take an oath for your family.

We don't have to stop promoting Bitcoin but instead we have to become more careful about how we expose our identity as Bitcoin investors instead what we should do is to prioritize our privacy but still promote Bitcoin. We have to educate those that are yet to be educated as there are many people around the world that are still yet to understand how Bitcoin works but also we have to understand that our privacy is now at risk and our loved ones are also at risk just as our wallet also has risk.

Our Bitcoin address should not be made public and neither should anyone know how much we are worth because by exposing our worth we are putting ourselves out there for those evil people to take advantage of us. Bitcoin is supposed to keep you anonymous hence that should be what we should be focused on more while we keep on promoting Bitcoin as to increase adoption.

Yea, that's actually how I do, if someone ask, I can teach them and sometimes too when I see people spilling wrong information about Bitcoin, then I will interfere in the conversation and then use the medium to promote, the last scenario is when I hear people on social media talking about how they lost huge amount because they invested in altcoin, I will then chip in the importance of Bitcoin to altcoins.
