When you're gambling for the sake of winning big, you'll have every reason to continue chasing your losses because you feel it's possible to win them back. One thing with those gamblers that won big, some of them have lost more than that amount why some of them will definitely lose it back to the casino.

You are very much right about this, but those gamblers don't really care about it that way as long as the winning comes big; it's like they have been throwing in money somewhere for it to be saved, and the platform where they are saving it takes their own commission, and the worst are the set who don't even see that big winning at all, but they always hope the next game might be it, and that usually pushes them to be betting with a high amount because they expect the profit to be based on how much they staked.

Its always harder to be careful when doing anything especially gambling, you only get careful after been hurt many times while learning from mistakes, you cant be careful when you havent made a mistake.

No generally when you have this thing and you can't stop it easily that means that you are already addicted. It does not have to be limited to gambling or stuff like that which we often talk about addictive. You can ask some people to quit Facebook today and they could not do it, they will insist it is their own choice to be unable to do it which does not make sense. If you are not able to stop any behavior today, at least for some amount of time that means you are addicted to that behavior and are no longer making choices. I do not like to live like that, so I have quit things many times for very long periods in time in my life to gain the ability to easily stop. There were times I was an gambling frequently for entertainment, and then times where I did not gamble at all for years even if I had more money to spend on it than ever. It is very important to actually practice this, because even with bankroll management and time restrictions you will get addicted to some amount. People think that addiction is a yes or no thing, but it is a thing that can be measured on a scale such as 0 to 5. Many people here are already a little bit addicted based on what they write in some other threads. Be careful, addiction is now always the out of control addict that is stealing and borrowing money to gamble.

Personally, I felt quitting gambling and I did. It was only hard during the first days and week. After that time period, I felt like I wasn't missing anything anymore. To think I would be losing money was enough to reinforce the decision of not gambling anymore, as it would mean waste of money and financial stagnation in my life. I had this feeling when I was starting out. I felt I needed to quit, but thinking about the money I'd lost made me keep going.
Until I realized it's useless to feel that way because you can't beat the house.
Sometimes I quit gambling whenever I lose a big amount, or I'm doing a big project that needs my time. It's also important to take a break from time to time, but quitting is always the right choice if you want and can.

There is one thing I noticed that keeps us gambling even when we are not at profit. Every gambler is full of optimism, even though we loose our bet, we still believe subsequent bet will favour us, and it may or may not also work that way.

That is exactly what I have just explained above, I believe what you said too, that Gamblers tend to be optimistic about bet they are not sure if it's gonna win or lose. And however this is the very cause of gambling addiction. When a gambler just gamble without control but hopes on wining someday will increase the person chance of getting addicted if there are no preventive measures.

We sometimes see, and hear on the news how some bettors have won huge bet, and they flaunt on the news sometimes with the betting company or what they have achieved with the money they won. All those things we see are real, and they keep motivating us to gamble even while recording long time losses.

Well that's true but did you Also know that most of those wining posted are not real wining but are faked just for streaming to promote some gambling site . Or to make people feel they don't lose. Not everything posted online is true, most are just there to deceive people, so don't believe everything you see online.

This depend on what you are looking for as a gambler. If I'm not making any money from gambling, I'm going to quit because it shows I don't know how to play. If you are average in gambling, you should make money once or twice in a while, that's how you make money from gambling. There days you may not win any money but the days you win, you getting back most of your loss to the casino, this is why you don't chase loss and don't go after quick means to win.

There is nothing you will gain from gambling if you are not winning. No matter how much you gamble and lose, there should be some level of bet that can save you from generational loss and if it's not working for you, just make sure you quit. This may sound strange but the earlier you quit gambling if you don't know how to gamble the better it's for you, that's how you get away from loop of loss, some people that are addicted to gambling are result of not understanding gambling.

If these professionals are winning alongside the losses they incur, it is not supposed to be an issue for them.
