We read how one lucky winner flaunts his fortunes on news, but we do not know how many millions of invisible losers had to pave way to such single payout. This gives psychological illusion that big win is simply waiting to chance our arm as long as we just happen to be in it long enough to experience it. Realistically, gambling is game of isolated events, your previous losses do not bring you higher possibility of future win.

It is not optimism trap as you stated but dopamine trap. Approach of patient loser is perilous, as in case of stock market or Bitcoin, house takes advantage of players because, even faster than stock market or Bitcoin, longer one plays, more certain it is to lose entire amount played. However, sometimes I keep wondering what could be stoping someone that is dieing not to talk to someone about it probably for advice or whatever, perhaps Is it because of shame of being backlashed or what? what could be more important compared to life? absolutely nothing because if something evenually happen to you who will be talking about shame then, nobody. Therefore, let us learn to speak out to people  when things aren't going right for people that cares to see us out than dieing silently in our gambling problem.

Most times after a near win I get annoyed to the point of telling myself I won't be gambling again, it's just a temporary outburst, it's not lti lost too much to that single bet, why it annoys me is simply because I can usually almost taste my winning only for something to happen and ruin the whole thing, like in sports gambling with a multiple bet and all but one plays in your favour, most annoying part is that it's usually the last game that brings about your loss, I get so annoyed after such games but still not something that winning make me quit.

Many gamblers have seen a lot from gambling just that some keep to that popular advise use what you can afford to lose in gambling. This is where some gamblers are missing it to embrace losses from their gambling, because they don't want to take a break to know what is causing them losses before they can introduce another strategy to gamble than to continue losing to start selling their properties to recover their money.

I don't think gambling is that much like a game of giving and taking, there is absolutely no guarantee that you will be able to win even in sports gambling where you analytical skills have a role to play and especially in casino games where you chances of winning are ultimately up to the algorithm and how much luck you have as a person, of course there is the chance that you will win, it's there but it's just not obvious so it's not like a person can just tell themselves that since they lost their previous one they will win this one.

Reason I find it hard to quit because game developer added new content regularly. There was always something new to do and to explore, additional to farming and gathering resources. I think same happens to some of those who could not quit gambling - besides they want to get money back or win more, there is always something new to try and to explore.

The addition of content updates or others with games that we like certainly has its own charm, especially if we really like the game then we are likely to be interested in continuing to do so.

That's why they attend the aforementioned interviews and try to publicize their problem, to be honest not only with themselves but with everyone else. This is the first true step toward solving their gambling problem. I admire the courage of such people, because hiding the problem is the easiest thing to do. But admitting it is the first step toward an inevitable solution, and only strong individuals can do that.

Perhaps players often simply get used to and enjoy the animation and sounds, especially in casinos and slots, but I stopped playing them a long time ago because I only place bets. While I haven't completely stopped playing, I see myself gradually betting less on games I can't afford to miss. The gamblers get to the point where they desire to stop gambling, yet cannot, and being silent tends to make it even more difficult. By holding everything in, they only get the problem stronger, particularly because of shame or fear of being judged. Although they might be aware of the problem they might believe that they can deal with it on their own. which is hardly ever effective. Your advice is understandable, but everyone still has to decide for themselves what to expect from gambling. It's an amazing field, and while it can offer so much, it also demands a lot from gamblers and bettors. I'm talking about testing your character because if you're a weak-willed gambler or bettor, you'll likely have an exclusively negative experience. But if you don't want to make all the money in the world by pressing just one button in a casino, your experience will likely be entirely positive. The main thing is to remember self-control and money management.

Another reason is the loss of buzz control, which i believe always allows gamblers to face the reality of the game instead of chasing lust or any other thing that will make the gambler continue playing the game instead of walking away.

Yup, losing control always drive that sensation and even you are already losing a lot there's still a space of hoping that given you a one time luck will cover everything, but in most cases, when you get that shot and manage to win some decent amount instead of quitting away you'll think that it's your chance to win and you'll push for it and lose everything back.

I know that their are gamblers that are in this stage of gambling where they could not make any solid decisions for themselves whether to quite gambling or to continue gambling because it's very hard for them to make money from gambling.

There is a different between quitting gambling and taking a break. A gambler may decide to take a break for one or two weeks or months, even a year and then to continue gambling after this time . This is not quitting but they just take a break to reflect for a while before going back again to gamble.

Multiple times. In fact it happened after every significant loss, especially if it was money, that was planned for something else. Back then i wasn't that good with money, and i was constantly looking for shortcuts to make it.

Back in time i didn't understood why i was hooked, so only option for me would have been to cut completely. That was really hard choice to make, but i did it for a while. There were few relapses, but then i started to read about fiscal responsibility and studied psychology. Pieces started to click together and i understood my triggers.

I planned a method, where i could gamble, but it wouldn't spiral out of control. I am still on that road, but so far there hasn't been relapses, only moderated gambling. I can't say it's for everyone, but so far it has worked for me. Keys are in the attitude and in budgeting. So i am not planning to make money, but to have fun.
