What do you think — is there any strategy that actually lets you win consistently on sports betting and finish every month in profit ? 

I’ve been trying to bet on favorites with odds around 1.4–1.7, but I still end up in the negative by the end of the month. Maybe betting on favorites is a bad strategy, so I’m thinking about switching things up. 

What would you guys recommend when it comes to sports betting strategies? (please) 

My strategy is big odds with bets on low league teams. There are two problems i have. Fixed matches and really difficult to find information about teams. If you have good sources of information - you can catch odds about 3-5 rather often and get win rate about 60%. It is enough to get stable profit.
It is not recommendation and i can`t give additional information. But i won about 16-18 months in a row.

Why do you think casinos or bookmakers would be profitable if there was a such strategy.

Imagine being an investor to a casino, and in some meeting casino's spoke person tells you that "actually there's a way to beat the casino, but instead of fixing that hole, we are just counting on the hope that no one will probably find it out and exploit it, and tell everyone about it".

Just use logic. Would casino allow a strategy that beats their edge?

In my opinion, I think the highest strategy that someone needs in sports betting is to know how to do analysis properly because that what gives you an edge to spot good game with high probability of being successful. If you know how to do analysis very well, then you are good. Long term success in betting is dependent on how well you know how to do analysis, how lucky you are and how well you can manage your bankroll.

There is no strategy for such. I don't think you can find such a place anywhere where you can be consistent in winning each time you gamble. So, level your mind on gambling, gamble with fewer expectations that if you win or lose, you will be okay with the outcome of your gambling stakes because you bet with little money.

If you learn of anyone on social media, saying that they can give you a correct prediction to make money from gambling, don't listen to such a person because most times they ask for funds, and in the end you lose the bet

Knowing how to do good analysis is good, but it's not good enough. Since sports betting isn't dependent on strategy to win but luck, the best thing a gambler can do for himself is to have a good risk management strategy, knowing when to engage and when to retreat. This alone helps you to avoid losing too often, since gamblers can't control their wins, at least they can be able to control their losses using these risk management strategies, that way they can better manage their bankroll.

Keep in touch with the game regularly and try to learn about the past history of the teams. Try to observe the strengths and weaknesses of the teams, if you can gain this knowledge about the game, then your chances of winning can increase a little, because then you will understand which matches to bet on and which ones to ignore. I have already tried that betting on favourites strategy and ended up in the negative as well, and my conclusion is that this is not even a strategy to be honest.

The bookies love bettors that only bet the favorites. I don't know what sports you are betting but look at the matchups and take the points with the underdog once in awhile. If the teams are close in talent, the underdogs aren't a bad bet especially in sports like basketball.

If you really want to be profitable then you can start selective betting instead of betting frequently, that is you will wait for the best opportunity and only bet there where the chances of winning are much higher

The only downside is that such bets tend to have a certain seasonality and periodicity, so it’s unlikely it can turn this approach into a consistent, ongoing stream. But for personal enjoyment, it’s an ideal option. Given my belief that gambling should be for enjoyment and a break from work and other responsibilities, not a way to get rich, I think this strategy works very well.

I will advise you not to gamble for the money, but for the fun and entertainment. Sometimes we often get carried away by the favorite teams, forgetting that luck has the final say. Gambling for fun doesn't mean you wouldn't expect profits, but it's just the simple way to gamble responsibly with a small amount that you can easily afford to lose.

So don't be carried away by someone's prediction, because it will definitely not work out for you except luck is on your side.

I can only give you one suggestion which is to watch more sports and always refrain from betting on your favorite team because it may happen that your favorite team is playing against a team that is stronger than them then in that case there is a high possibility that your favorite team may lose there so why would you bet on your favorite in that situation? Always bet on the team that is stronger than its opponent. And of course keep the mindset of losing the amount you bet and accept it easily because if you gamble you have to accept the loss because you yourself know very well that there is high risk here. This is sometimes what becomes a little harder to do especially when the favorite club is playing then for me personally I always feel that the urge to bet gets stronger no matter what happens for my favorite club but the gamble definitely always wants to be made.

I don't know for other gamblers but for me personally I can't seem to keep my control when my club is playing even though I don't always follow and try to refrain from gambling but some times I lose the game mentality and force gambling on the favorite club even though I know the performance is not too good to be a gamble.
Right now I can only minimize not betting in 1x2 and only focus on BTTS or Over/Under because even though I bet on the favorite club, for me this option has a greater probability of winning than forcing further in 1x2.
