Don't be surprised that some will definitely buy it regardless of the cost, is world cup we are talking about and there are many people coming from across the world all because of this occasion to witness it and they can afford to pay any amount to watch live and direct, since they already assume that there is no price cap for it, they are using it to stylishly make money from those that will be paying on aware all because they want to enjoy the match.

Well it's a bit dumb really, people can put tickets on there for any price - a billion dollars if they wanted, that doesn't mean it's going to reach anywhere close to it. I've no doubt that there will be scalpers who are trying to resell their tickets for many multiples more than they bought it for in the first place and it is such a simple thing for FIFA to prevent if they cared, but they don't. If it is the only permitted resale platform then they should not be encouraging resellers and cap it out at like 10% over face value of the original ticket. They absolutely do have control of how much tickets can be listed at on their site, they're just absolving themselves of responsibility which is pretty much their standard spineless tactic - like giving the US president a "peace trophy" because his ego was hurt at the time.

I don't know if FIFA has the right to control the price of ticket resellers. These middlemen make a lot of money from reselling tickets at a high rate. I think they should be monitored to reduce the rate at which they can exploit sports lovers. I have seen millionaires spend money on luxury but buying a World Cup ticket at that price is outrageous. I don't think anyone would pay such an amount for that. Let's wait and see if there will be any information from FIFA.

I would NEVER purchase that kind of ticket even if it gives me the privilege to meet-and-greet (which I think is highly unlikely) the players on the field.

Imagine spending $11.5 million dollars just to watch a game of football. That kind of money is mostly life-changing to 95% of the total population in the world. Even if I am rich enough to afford that ticket, I wouldn't even consider purchasing that. It's basically outrageous and a total waste of someone does decide to purchase it.

It's not just outrageous but also ridiculous to the point that it goes beyond the total understanding of men. I cannot even fathom the reasoning behind the pricing of that ticket- does it come with a free house-and-lot purchase? Does it also grant me additional health benefits that would last until my lifetime? I am very baffled by this kind of development and I doubt that someone would even consider buying it.

I don't even think that even the biggest fan of the league will do something that is crazy. It's too expensive, and if ever the ticket is at that price, it will be free to talk to all the football players, including the stars. Starting from the beginning of this FIFA world cup I have never heard nor see where FIFA president is asking people to pay such a huge amount of money just to purchase ticket, if this is true then I would rather sit back and watch it from my TV Because I don't think anyone would go ahead to purchase the ticket even the richest man on earth would ask questions as to why they increase the ticket fee to that level, but lets assume that it's just a joke as the FIFA president will never say such a thing like that.

My answer to this question changes depending on how much money I have. In my current situation, I definitely cannot afford it. But if I had millions of dollars and I was going to watch the match I bought that ticket for with Shakira, Messi, Ronaldo,and a few famous models, I think I would buy that ticket
