@OP This is a really nice guide. You have given me a nice guide and according to your guide I have learned to upload pictures. Surely! Those who are still unable to learn to upload pictures, your guide will be very useful.

Since I have become a junior member. I was looking for such a post since I became a junior member. And I was able to do it successfully, I benefited a lot. And you will have a request, how to adjust the height/width of the image? Can you give an idea to beginners like me about this?

To adjust the height/weight of your image, it is very simple.

Haven gotten your image link, your just use this example:

[img width=500 height=400]link to your image[/img]

All you need to do is to adjust width and height numbers to make it either big or small as you want it.

Another method which is faster is to adjust only the height of the image link you got from tlk Img. Only the height attribute can adjust both the width and height.

Op, this is a great work, I believe this will make every members work very easy.
Quick question Boss, please is this link only entitled to the senior or superiors members only ? Because I make use of the link to test how effective it's myself and it's okay, but I couldn't be able to post my image

@Shaponzy, I guess the image will not be visible for you to see or can't post an image with this your current rank, must be atleast member rank to be able to post images. Nevertheless let me help you out

Big thumbs up for putting this together well my hopes are that newbies actually make use of this thread because a lot of them don't bother reading through they will still most likely create posts about it but at the very least we have something quite official not to easily quote or share with them.

It would be nice to have something that compiles everything that they could read and likely have it pinned in the beginners and help board so it doesn't get lost.

It's mentioned in OP's tutorial and still you don't get it? You can post images in [img]<URL to image>[/img] BBcode tags as talkimg.com provides them, but because you're still of Newbie rank, your embedded images are only visible as links. Once you rank up to Jr. Member your embedded images become visible.

In Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ, there are answers too. You are right, for basic questions, just reading more, learning more with available topics and answers. That's easy, just have intention to read and learn or not, while there is no need of asking for help with such basic questions.

Why can't I post images?

Because you need to be a Junior Member to do that. To become a Junior Member you will have to have posted in three activity periods and have at least 28 activity. However, you can bypass these restriction by buying a Copper Membership for a small fee here.

Thanks for reminding me that answers to this ubiquitous question "Why my embedded images aren't displayed?" are scattered all over the place in (mostly sticky) topic that scream at Newbies: read me! Now!

I likely lost how it was when I was a Newbie noob, too (it's long long ago, my first account was from 2013, locked due to forum hack and I missed the window to recover it, if it were even possible at all because I didn't stake or post anything to prove, I'm the legit owner; no worries, I'm not proud of my first account...). So, a bit restrain is necessary, but not easy to maintain.

I'm just a bit baffled how Newbies manage to NOT read the answers and manage to overview and wiggle around all the valuable documented resources. I guess, I'm to old to comprehend it.

There is one special feature I love about talkimg that is unique from other image hosting services out there.

The ability of the image to stay on the forum forever, time do no disrupt it's beauty of the image nor get blanked or error after several years as other image off other hosting services do.

I don't know if it's unique to talkimg.com but I particularly love and use very often the ability to upload a picture just from clipboard by simply pressing Ctrl-V on talkimg.com's main page where you can upload a picture normally by using the upload button or drag'n'drop.
Don't want to miss this feature!

I'm just coming across this thread now. It's well explained. It's helpful even for existing users, not just for new users.

It's my favourite image hosting site since I get to know about it. I have its tab bookmarked and pin on my browser for easier access anytime I want to use it. I will always recommend it at any given chance. The fact that it's ads free makes it more convenient to use.

What a nonsense...

Of course can a Newbie rank upload (preferably to talkimg.com) and embed a picture in [img]...[/img] tags, but as long as the poster is of rank Newbie the image is not visible, only seen by others as a link to a picture (or visible when a higher ranked user quotes the embedded image).

As soon as the poster ranks up to Jr. Member all his embedded [img]...[/img] pics are visible as images. So, seriously, why shouldn't a Newbie rank embed images, even when they aren't immediately visible? It doesn't take much to rank up from Newbie to Jr. Member...
