Confidence is a universal trait, if you are confident in any line of work you do, the results always speaks for itself and as a gambler I like to think it helps in decision making which as we all know is very important when it comes to gambling. I can remember my days of sporty bet and how I lost money because of indecisions. Confidence is a trait everyone should possess tho, I me, don't get me wrong, confidence doesn't automatically mean right but then if you believe and project it forward, it just might be true,.

I was thinking basically about how we discuss the behaviors of gamblers how they lost a huge sum of money or how they kept on playing without considering the side effects of their actions and the it struck my mind that they must have something in their minds that would trigger them to make those decisions and then I realized that it's "Confidence".
The reason why we treat some bets differently from other isn't because we just want to loss big or expose ourselves to too much risk, it's a matter of confidence that we have toward something( the odds, desperation of the team, players available....) and most of our gambling decisions is based on some level of confidence, if it's something you're unsure of you are likely going to skip the game at the selection stage before it gets to your bet or place small stake on the bet.

True, nice one. Confidence in gambling can be both a good and bad thing depending on how you use it. Too much confidence can make a lot of gamblers lose control and stake more than they would’ve normally stake. That’s why moderation is really good.

Confidence is important for a gambler, you can't be doubting yourself and gambling at the same time, doing this will already put in at a disadvantageous position where any bet you place is already under doubt before you even place it but there is a limit to it, you can't be losing all you have and still be arrogantly confident on what you can do when at the end of the day you've lost everything already, it doesn't matter that you are confident if you don't have any control over your gambling.

Gambling isn't an activity that one should be over confidence on because it's a game of luck and not strictly on skills.
