I don't think there's anything wrong with gambling responsibly; it's when it becomes compulsive that there is a problem.
If someone were to tell me to stop gambling I would tell them to mind their own business.

Well, your point might actually be true , but many gamblers that are addicts today was also claiming to be gambling responsibly. Compulsive gambling does not develop in a single day or a moment,  it actually happens gradually when that person stops noticing the amount of time, money and feelings that are being put in by them.

And yeah I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion,  so everybody have the freedom to make whatever choices they want but at times people just choose to speak up because they have witnessed the harm that gambling can do to families, finances and wellbeing. Not all advice is about controlling someone's life, sometimes it is genuine concern.  The problem isn't about gambling, but recognizing when gambling becomes an addiction.

These are those individuals who have never gambled and heard about everything wrong about Gambling and Gamblers. They forget that gambling is part of life and we gamble every time we go outside our house. I think it is better to ignore these guys rather than explain to them, as they will never understand it.
Some of them have actually gambled, and they did while seeing gambling from a different angle; when they don't get what they want, they label gambling to be the bad egg. They don't want to take the fall, while some of them just judge from the behavior of gamblers who are close to them, and they don't bother to make proper research. Whichever the case, they are entitled to their opinion, and what we know should be what we believe and not some old-fashioned men giving us advice against what we are dealing with.

I will tell the person that he is right, but I will further it with saying that I am only doing it for fun and that I always advise people to do it for fun and not a way of making money. Gambling addiction is not good, I do not want anyone to be in such situation, so I will see what the person said to be true, but we have exceptions.

Not every gambler are irresponsible, some gamblers are very responsible, but many times people see gamblers are being irresponsible, but that is not the real truth. If you are in a place where people or your friends, and relations see all gamblers as irresponsible, I think you have to clarify them by letting them know that not all gamblers are irresponsible. Is only when you allow gambling to have full control over you that you can be considered as irresponsible, but when you have full control of how you gamble, and can control your emotions, and don't allow gambling to affect you negatively, then you are considered a responsible gambler.
The truth is what data says about this topic, statistics and not what you and I personally see. By chance or even by choice you may be surrounded by very irresponsible people or even very responsible people. That does not have any impact on the data in the world as that is a very limited observation. The data on gamblers is clear, most gamblers are irresponsible and do not have discipline about gambling or finances. Why hide from that fact? That does not mean that every single gambler is like that, that is something else. Even if you had that 25 percent of gamblers are responsible and disciplined which I doubt, it would be still correct to say that most are irresponsible. People should not take these statements personally when they are accurate meaning they are saying a truth of the world, it is just how you interpret data correctly but many people do not understand what the statements mean especially that they do not include everyone if you say most or words like that.

These are those individuals who have never gambled and heard about everything wrong about Gambling and Gamblers. They forget that gambling is part of life and we gamble every time we go outside our house. I think it is better to ignore these guys rather than explain to them, as they will never understand it.

Whichever the case, they are entitled to their opinion, and what we know should be what we believe and not some old-fashioned men giving us advice against what we are dealing with.
The user is wrong to compare actual gambling to the risk of committing any activity and this shows that they do not understand the differences and truths behind the dangers of gambling. Even if you and me are engaged in gambling that does not mean we should make up excuses or tell lies about it. Gambling is a very dangerous activity no matter what anyone refuses to accept this and it is not comparable to activities that are part of every day just because they involve a risk of anything could happen.
