Anyone here might have done that strategy? You are in a losing streak, but then decided to go and bet against your favorite team and it had a angle of a win win.

Win-win in a way that if you win your bet then obviously you profit and stop the bleeding. But on the other hand, you lose, but your favorite team win so somewhat it eliminates the pain of losing again to some extend.

Or did strategy didn't cross your mind as you always go with your team?

As a strategic bettor if there is one thing that you must learn how to do is to always make sure that you think outside the box and you can do this by learning not to bet based on the odds or placing a bet only on your favorite team. A lot of people place love to bet on their favorite team even when they know that the chances of winning are very low but they do so only because of club loyalty which is quite okay but this could make you incur losses in the long run because that's not really a strategic way to bet. At the end of the day everyone bet however us comfortable for them.

I sometimes do this; it's not that I'm betraying my loyalty to the team, I'm just being practical. If my favorite team has no chance of winning, or is unlikely to win, and you have an opportunity to make money, then being practical is the right thing to do.
But if it's a 50/50 chance or my team has a slight chance of winning, I'll go back up for my team and bet on it. Your loyalty is good, but not to the point that you are going to lose money

I'm doing it all the time. What happens in most cases is that my favorite team wins and I lose my bet, and to be honest, I don't feel great about my team winning. It kinda ruins the experience, so I vow to myself never to bet against my favourite team again, and yet I find myself making the same kind of bet again a month later.

First of all, it isn't really a rule of thumb that if you bet against your favorite team when on a losing streak would increase your chances of winning, you might as well end up losing more. I think it's more About doing analysis and betting strategically. Some people bet on their favorite teams to win and they don't ignore the fact that the opposite team is far better than their favorite team when it comes to performance.

One thing that I don't do so often is doing a guess bet where I'm I never saw a confirmation of why I should bet on the team or against the team and then I just guess and bet on the team, is something hardly do because I would prefer to do analysis on every team I want to bet on and if am betting on that team or against that team, it means that my analysis actually aligned with the game before I decided to bet on it but if it doesn't align, then I'm not betting. So, to bet against my favorite is only if I feel it will play iny favour.

I don't mind betting against my favorite team if I think I would win because what would be the essence of gambling if I can't be truthful to myself just to win.
In my experience, my favorite team has always been more cause of heartbreak to me, than losing a gambling bet ever would and that makes me actually look at analysis more closely, while not favoring one team over the other.

Just imagine watching the match and having to cheer to the other team because you will lose money if they win. This is not going to be a fun time

There are so many games that you do not need to betray your team for a quick potential win even if the odds are good. It is better to enjoy the match and bet another day for another game

And if your team loses you feel great or also gets sad? What is more important, the team win or the bet win that comes with the money? Why bet if you lose something both ways, money when they win or feeling sad seeing your team lose

How certain are you that betting against your team will be a sure win? There are people with different resolves from this and you can't judge them because it's their own opinion. Nevertheless it's pretty much easy for a die hard fan to just totally ignore the bet instead of betting against his team.

Similarly if we consider on the the contrary, some other persons may be of the opinion that it is cowardice to beat against a team you claim to support.

I did that before when I think that it's only about the money. My favorite team will win but if it's money then I would bet against them.

And what's good is that there are a lot of props that we can bet for to the enemy teams but, it's not about the winning result as per bet.

Not exactly, the link you posted is about betting against your instinct, while this one is about betting against your team.

OP I agree with you, if the odds is against my team in terms of form or situation, I'll definitely bet against them and when they prove me wrong I would be happy low-key because I will raise my shoulders in front of my friends for a successful match despite losing my stakes. Both are good outcomes, both winning my bet and my team winning the match.

I am a Chelsea fan, but I bet on Sunderland to win my club in the match day 28, If Chelsea had won, at least I would be glad that we are going to Europa league which would have made more sense, but Alas I only ended up winning my bet and Chelsea out of any external competition for next season.

That is when we say, (if I would have known). And that is one of the highest risk as a gambler. And the odds of betting against the favorite teams are higher. Before you pick a favorite teams, they are strong teams but there are times weak teams play smarter and win the strong team. First of all, I want to say that this topic appears here every few months  
Secondly, I am in favor of separating betting and rooting for a particular team, especially given that I have favorites in every championship (from the top ones). In general, I avoid betting on or against my favorite team, as bias can interfere with correctly assessing the odds, but I don’t see anything wrong with this. If the situation is definitely favorable for such a bet, then it can be made.

I've done that many times. I bet against my favorite team, especially when having a long run of bad performance. I don't play favorites when picking options, I imagine the possibility of my bet happening, if it takes me to bet against my team to protect my feelings, i don't mind betting against them, It's a double chance for me, either profits or cheer alongside my team.

Whenever betting is concerned I do not think about whom to lose rather I go for those who would win the match. For instance if I know that my team gonna then I don’t care given my team winning and if I noticed that the other club gonna win then I wouldn’t also mind as long as I will have winning at last then I give it to those who are to win the match without being that biased against the other club. Usually just to avoid betting against it I don't consider the game, then this season Juventus have made truly ridiculous plays.
But a true fan even in difficult times continues to support his team, I don't deny it, but I avoid placing bets when Juve plays.

I don't have to be on a losing streak before I could gamble against my favorite, after all I'm not being paid to support them and I have to be just by the way of their performance and my confidence in them to deliver up to my expectation, so in gambling, I make the necessary analysis that justify every decision I take either for them or against them despite being my favorite does not mean I can't face the reality on what they are capable of doing or not.
