The Turkish league kicked off with some surprising results in the first week. Galatasaray drew 2-2. Fenerbahçe lost 2-1. Trabzonspor drew 1-1. I am eager to see what kind of result Beşiktaş will achieve on Sunday. I consider such dropped points in the opening week to be normal.
The VAR officials performed very poorly during the Fenerbahçe match. I don't know what they were thinking in those situations that led them not to alert the referee. If the VAR audio recordings are released this season, we might find out. These two clear errors caused Fenerbahçe to drop points in the first week.
Salah came on for Trabzonspor but failed to make much of an impact. He will likely improve as time goes on. Right now, Onuachu is the player in the worst form at Trabzonspor. I saw him in the pre-season friendlies, too; he was extremely poor. Onuachu urgently needs to find his form.

Fenerbahçe started the league with a defeat, but the main talking point after the match is that they were denied two clear penalties. A situation similar to the one involving Mert Müldür occurred with Yamal during the match against France at the World Cup, and the referee awarded a penalty. Today, however, Fenerbahçe was not awarded a penalty in a similar situation. The ball struck Goutas's hand during Talisca's shot, yet VAR did not award a penalty. In both instances, it was difficult for the referee to spot the incidents. Fenerbahçe dropped 3 points in the very first week due to two clear errors.
I don't like when a team emphasize much about penalties that they were denied because on paper we all concluded that Fenerbahce will win but it wasn't so in the playing field. Fenerbahce should admit their mistakes because they would have won this match if they had scored another goal after Talisca scored. The referee and VAR needs to act professional this season and take actions in obvious cases, they shouldn't repeat what they did last season because the Turkish league is becoming popular so they should not make people begin to doubt the fairness in the league. There were a lot of complaints about referees and VAR last season, they need to avoid such cases again this season.

Fenerbahçe started the league with a defeat, and the primary parties responsible for this are, first, manager İsmail Kartal, and second, the VAR officials.
İsmail Kartal fielded a rotated squad with the upcoming match against Lyon on Tuesday in mind, and he made a mistake in doing so; he acknowledged this error in his post-match statement.
I also fail to understand how the VAR officials overlooked two clear penalties. Mahmut Uslu voiced very harsh criticisms after the match, and in my opinion, he is 100% right. We are taking the field today. I hope we defeat Eyüpspor and kick off the league campaign with three points.

I am certainly not writing Besiktas off, but to be honest Fenerbahçe is currently the strongest team in the Turkish league. Besiktas made wonderful signings, but out of all those signings, only two players were in form last season (Trossard and Vlahaovic), I don't think the other signings are enough to rate them much higher.
Fenerbahçe has strengthened the squad in almost all positions, and I think they are worthy to be called title contenders for next season. As for Besiktas, I would say we should watch out for them next season, they might contest for the title next season who knows, but I am sure they will do well compared to their last season performance.
For me, Fenerbahce is currently the team with the most desire and interest in finishing a championship in an absolutely positive way. I absolutely wouldn't leave out Galatasaray because for me they are at the same level, while i see Besiktas as a team still in transition, trying to compete in a more decisive way, since they have made two important purchases in Trossard and Vlahovic.

if Fenerbahçe finds a world class goalkeeper and closes the transfer window with them, they have a chance at the championship. but without signing a goalkeeper, i dont believe they can become champions.
if Aziz Yıldırım says he is here for the championship, he must find a goalkeeper no matter what...
Fenerbahce has a much strengthened team compared to last year, consequently it is certainly one of the contenders for the final title, since Galatasaray is infuriating their fans in the transfer market due to a transfer window that is really too poor for the Turks' standards.

The Turkish league has started in the most unpredictable way possible. First, Galatasaray drew, and then Fenerbahce lost. It’s very strange to see the top teams dropping points in the very first round. I hope Besiktas can win their home game, that seems more realistic, but there have been so many unexpected results in the first round. I think a lot of bettors lost their bets because of this. By the way, the same thing happened in the Portuguese league.

It's really strange man, really... I don't even remember the last time this kind of an opening happened in the Turkish Super League. In which nearly all top teams lost points I mean. I say "nearly" because Beşiktaş still haven't played as you also mentioned. Their opponent is Eyüpspor who barely survived in this league last season. I don't think they can resist Beşiktaş while they are still dealing with serious problems.

The Turkish league has not had a good start for the big teams. Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Trabzonspor all failed to secure a win. Despite Fernabache suffering a defeat, I think the most shocking result was the Galatasaray draw with Çorum yesterday. It was quite unexpected because Gala was playing at home against a newly promoted side, and most fans expected Gala to have an easy win. Tomorrow, all eyes will be on Besiktas, and I hope they can get off to a good start.
I’m sick and tired of people here who can’t even spell team names. I don’t even think you watch the league. The most shocking result of the week was definitely Fenerbahçe’s loss. And actually most people were expecting Galatasaray to have a bad start because they didn’t make any transfers at all. It would be good for Beşiktaş if they got off to a strong start in the first week and secured the top spot. They’ve been lagging behind in the title race for seasons now, and maybe what they need is to take the reins right from the start.

In the matches played last night, both teams managed to score against each other.
Gaziantep FK drew 1–1 at home against Alanyaspor. Alanyaspor took the lead in the first half with a goal from Duarte. In the second half, Gaziantep managed to equalise with a superb goal from Sorescu. Gaziantep had more possession but failed to secure a win.
Fenerbahçe suffered an unexpected defeat in their opening match. Despite scoring the first goal away at Gençlerbirliği, the first half ended in a 1-1 draw. As expected, Fenerbahçe were the side with the majority of possession, but they were unable to create the desired scoring opportunities or convert them. Naturally, this proved costly for them.

First Galatasaray, then Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe all started the season by losing points. In my previous commentary, I mentioned that the Turkish Super League is a competitive league and that results like these shouldn’t come as a surprise...
In a week where all the top contenders have lost points, Beşiktaş will face Eyüpspor tonight. Of course, Beşiktaş is the favorite, but we must remain open to any surprise outcome...
Beşiktaş found its rhythm in European cup matches before the league began. That’s why I don’t think they’ll face a surprise like Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, or Trabzonspor did. But I want to emphasize that they won all their European cup matches by a single goal. So, in my opinion, Beşiktaş will win this match, and there won’t be many goals scored...

Murillo is on the bench, Taylan is starting the match. Oh is also on the bench, Semih will start. Agbadou is in the starting line-up instead of Emirhan. Italiano has fielded a different starting 11 than in the European matches. Trossard has made the starting line-up, İlhan is on the bench. So Trossard is probably ready to play at least 60 minutes now. There are 4 changes from the usual European squad. Perhaps he's thinking we might win this match somehow and finds the rotation sensible ahead of the play-off match.
No matter what, it's the first league match. While our rivals haven't won yet, Beşiktaş absolutely must win this one. We can't afford to lose points at home against Eyüpspor. I hope Italiano puts on a good show for the fans and we come away with 3 points. If things go wrong, Rashica, Oh, İlhan, Ndidi and Amir are on the bench. It's clear this team needs a few more signings. The rotation isn't that strong.

Fenerbahçe's defeat, Galatasaray's draw, and Trabzonspor's draw and they despite the high-profile signing of Mohamed Salah, present a huge opportunity for Beşiktaş. Beşiktaş has the chance to seize this opportunity and open a significant gap between themselves and their rivals in the championship race from the very first week. Normally, losing this many points is impossible. As a Fenerbahçe fan, last season we only suffered two defeats throughout the league, but this season we lost in the opening match. We still have tough matches against Galatasaray, Trabzonspor, and Beşiktaş. Such point losses are irreversible. Therefore, Beşiktaş absolutely needs to get three points against Eyüpspor today to gain an advantage.

There won't be any surprise result. Eyüpspor managed to stay in the league in their final match last year, but this season they are the prime candidate for relegation. Beşiktaş will win this match by a wide margin. While Beşiktaş usually secures low-scoring victories in European matches, today they will win by at least three goals. As far as I know, Eyüpspor is struggling with financial issues. They aren't a good team, and they will be relegated at the end of the season. Let this stand here as proof. I am making a bold prediction.

It hasn't been a pleasant week following the Turkey Super lig. That said, I will stop backing favorites for now until the top teams pick up form. The Fenerbahçe loss yesterday was tough hit to take because they took the early lead and their performance level dropped more and more as the game progressed. Even Galatasaray nearly lost at home to a small team. ~Snipped
Trabzonspor's draw and they despite the high-profile signing of Mohamed Salah [...]
Its going to take sometime before Salah settles with the team. I will give it time. I didn't see the game but I heard he had a good game. I will try to see his next game.

i still don't get this rotation bullshit. it's the beginning of the season. what rotation?! a team that hasn't won the league in 14 years is rotating players just because they have an important European match... Look at the audacity of this shit lol

Vincenzo Italiano has also done the same thing but at least Beşiktaş are winning right now. Fenerbahçe couldn't even get a point from Gençlerbirliği who were so close to relegation zone last year. Eyüpspor really don't give me any hope right now as they have played both halves badly so far. It looks like Beşiktaş fans will be all over the internet to mock us and the rest of the top teams in the league.

Of the three big teams, Beşiktaş was the only one to win in the first week; a good start means a good finish. Galatasaray drew, and Fenerbahçe lost. I can't understand how we keep losing points in the same week Galatasaray dropped points; it's unbelievable. With this rotated squad, this is all you can expect. Frankly, it will take time for the players to adapt and get ready; I'm not that hopeful, considering the last few years, my hopes were already low.

Beşiktaş had the best start to the league, securing three points and making a great start because their rivals all dropped points. They also had a good transfer period, and everything looks promising for this season. Let's see what happens for Beşiktaş throughout the season. Eyüpspor's victory came thanks to Cerny's goal. In the second half, Costa of Eyüpspor was sent off with a second yellow card, which allowed Beşiktaş to relax and control the tempo of the game better.

Beşiktaş started the league with a win and have already opened up a points gap over their three biggest rivals. They were the team that took the best advantage of the points dropped by Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Trabzonspor. Honestly, I was expecting Beşiktaş to win by a lot of goals, but they could only manage a one-goal victory. Still, what matters is the three points and they got them.
