I wouldn't say Arsenal played well in the Champions League final against PSG. But they had shown great performance in the previous matches except this final match. Even though the Champions League final match was decided by penalties, PSG played well throughout the match. The wall Arsenal created in their defence was difficult to break down but it was challenging for PSG to drag the match to penalties by taking goals and they maintained their superiority by continuing to win trophies.

True, they can't keep hoping on defense and fail to score cause at the end, if they face a team that has a good attack and defense then it would be problem for them. If Arsenal's attack was as good as PSG's, I doubt they would've lost that game, their attack would've comfortably come out to pressure the opponents defense and score more after the first goal, knowing that their defence is strong enough to hold PSG's attackers.

Honestly it’s very difficult to for each an every teams to appear in the Semifinal and final of the champion league, but Arsenal did all their possible best to reach the stage, and if not because most of their players that good in penalty where substitutes before the penalty shootout Arsenal could’ve win the league.
