PSG has a lot of money. They have not been stingy in strengthening  the squad and buying players. With a lot of money, an experienced manager like Luis enrique has been associated with it. And with the help of this, psg  won two consecutive champions leagues. This season, they have not made any changes  to the squad. And as usual, the team has performed excellently this season too. Luis enrique has managed the team quite well. They have  won both the ligue 1 and champions league titles. Next season, Enrique will probably want to strengthen the  squad a bit. I'm visiting this thread for the second time since it was created and I'm not surprised to see the flood of responses in just a few days. The UEFA champions League thread has always been a spam fest for some, for others a thread to have genuine conversations. Luiz Enrique really wants to break some records with his current squad, so the theory that they may still win the next UCL title for 2026/2027 won't come as a shocker if it happens. Meanwhile, the new teams that qualify for this phase of the competition, some of which have not qualified in 5 years or more, will not be an easy opponent in the groups they'll be added to. The elimination stage will be packed up, but all we need is a more deserving winner this time around.

Yes, I agree. When PSG had many star players they were unable to do anything in the Champions League. However, after the departure of all their star players and most recently Mbappe the PSG squad has improved significantly and the team's cohesion has become very visible and solid. So, it can be said that Enrique has built a squad not based on individual players but on playing collectively. No player feels superior to another in Enrique eyes all players are equal. When a player doesn't perform to his liking Enrique doesn't hesitate to bench them.

Next season PSG will certainly continue to improve and will bring in new players during the transfer window especially defenders. Competition in UCL will be even fiercer next season with many teams making major changes and some even changing coaches. So, if PSG wants to defend its trophy and win a third consecutive title, Enrique must build an even stronger squad. Next season with Mourinho coaching Madrid again, I think Madrid will be a strong competitor for PSG next season.

It is all combined in his departure, it was when the team started recruiting players to have a team and not a one man dependable team that was when they decided to let him go due to his high paying contract, high demand and some other factors related to discipline. The player shows that he want to leave the team to Real Madrid despite all the pressure Real Madrid put in for more than one season and he rejected them, he shows interest and the team let him go, he was thinking that the team will suffer without him, but luckly, they achieved greatness and became the best team in the Europe for two seasons in a row now, while he is yet to win the champions league trophy with Madrid same as other domestic titles.

As you said, I can't really predict who will win for now but for Arsenal they should forget about winning the UCL. And I can't say Manchester United will reach the final because their performance in the premier League was not that good but I appreciate them for the effort they put to reached the thing place of the league (EPL). There will be strong competition again in the next season. Just concluding season was interesting at the final stage of the season.

Honestly I agree with you, it's not about Mbappe but all about what Enrique envisioned for the PSG and it feels like he is doing just that. Enrique showed me the importance of having a competent coach and seeing this past seasons tells us that a team might look mid, but a good manager elevates the team to a whole new level.

After having lived through such tough seasons, with many losses, many failures, and coaches who were really bad for the team, they finally found the one who truly moved them forward. It's encouraging to see Manchester United in the Champions League; for me, it's one of the best things that could have happened. Am I happy? Yes, they deserve it. They fought for themselves and finally have good results. That's what you look for in football, and they achieved it.

It's even going to be more difficult to know which club because a lot of clubs might going to be performing differently by now because of the changes that have been going on in different clubs, and now a lot of clubs also have the champions league in there radar and am even scared that arsenal might not get the same opportunity that they got last season of they continue with the same tactics they need to do better because, arsenal attack is just not convincing at all there clubs that if they got the opportunity that arsenal got getting to the finals it's going to be very hard that they won't have won it because they will do everything possible not to drag it to penalties they will create opportunities just for them to score because they know when it gets to the penalties there chances is going to reduce so no one will take that kind of a chance.

Another example is the likes of Manchester United and Micheal Carrick, he literally changed the whole situation at Manchester United and they got to finally get a champions league qualification. There is one thing that would have been certain of the former manager was still in charge of Manchester United, it would have been a different case and this alone shows how important a good coach can be to the club.

When we are talking about PSG being able to win or not, the point is not only PSG. They could be great, they could be not so great, but you also have to look at other teams as well. When you are looking at the general UCL for the next season and the teams that will have any chance at all are already can be seen, the undecided parts are just low level teams who will not win. So when you look at that list, who do you think could beat PSG? To me, Bayern Munich was great, if they do a bit better, they could actually win it.

Otherwise, I do not see that many other teams that could be better than PSG, maybe we need to wait and see how other teams do, before we can decide what's going to happen, it is not going to be easy, btu only team I see that can beat PSG so far is Bayern, other than that, those are the only two great teams.

U think he already knows that because he has already started making promising signings to the team seeing that casemiro is leaving and also their right back position is under threat too as Luke Shaw is getting old and probably won't be able to meet up with the pressure that that position demands and also he needs to have atleast an option for substitute too as well as prepare for injuries too because Manchester United currently aren't having such players that if they get rocked with injuries they can cope..

Because if you ask any sports fan or punter, they will agree with me that teams with less than 20% ball possession have actually won games against the better team.. and in Arsenal's case, I believe they approached this game with fear, which is not the Arsenal way.. if they approached the game with an attack-minded approach, they would have been victors, but unfortunately chose to defend, which was the wrong call.. anyway, they have learned something cool.

Alot is at Stake for most of the top 5 to 10 club's in the next season, even Asernal who deed very well this season still need to improve a lot and be ready to spend money on player's against the next season, because most of them have failed behind while some like Asernal are still in recovery mode since the last premier title winning was the last after 22 years of trying to achieve this record and we don't know what next season holds.

Manchester United is not even among the teams which I feel might win the champions league title by next season, we know their is improvement in their performance, but with the squad which they are having, it’s going to be difficult for them to get to final, not to even talk of winning the champions league. Before Manchester United will be able to win the champions league, then it’s going to take some time, they will have to rebuild their team, anyone that thinks Manchester United will be winning the champions league title by next season is just deceiving himself.
