I feel the coming of Louis Enrique systematically change the club, as he was able to move from individualistic football to selecting players that are committed to the team's good,
I totally agree with what you said here because that is what changes the fate of the club. The hierarchy of of PSG start  backing the manager more, and start putting their trust in his capability, than the players, as they have done in the past, which was the main reason they have had a lot of success on the pitch for the past two years, because those individualistic type of football they have been focusing on in the past is not capable of winning them the  uefa champions league, which is the most difficult competition to win in the whole of europe. So Luis Enrique was their biggest and best signing in the past two years.

Even with the current squad I dont think PSG has a problem  in perfmorming well bg next season, trust me  PSG does'nt have any weak position But as you said they may wish to streghen the squad more again,  maybe we will see more from them by next season in their competitions because, since they will want to dominate the competitions more again in the future.
All teams want to dominate the league every season, including teams like PSG, who have proven themselves capable of winning back-to-back Champions League titles. I also think PSG will never rest on their laurels from the past two seasons. They will continue to strive to improve next season, so other teams will still have to be wary of PSG when competing in the Champions League. And on the other hand, the PSG coach always strives to maintain the performance and performance of his players in every match. If several key players are injured, it will certainly significantly impact the team's strength next season.

Seeing PSG's achievements with two seasons defending their title in the Champions League, it is proof that PSG is no longer a club that can be underestimated, Of course PSG also wants to compete with Real Madrid by winning the Champions League 3 times in a row and that is their current target which I think is unreasonable as a club that has always failed before, can become the strongest club even this is an extraordinary achievement for PSG and plus I really agree with you that their coach Luis Enrique is really good at maintaining the stamina and performance of their players, always right in choosing players, when players should be withdrawn when players are played all their tactics run well according to the scheme implemented by Luis Enrique.

PSG will definitely come back next season stronger, and if that should happen, they will also be watched closely as one of the teams to win the Champions League trophy. I personally was not expecting them to win the trophy this season, but they did. Which I know they will try their best to win it again next season. Luis Enrique is already planning for next season, I can sense some changes that will improve the team further, as there are rumours of them selling some players. I also know they will buy more players to make them stand out from the others.

Other teams in the Champions League will also be watching them closely, and they will try to defeat them. So, apparently, next season’s Champions League will be even more serious and competitive.

Thanks to the op for creating another thread for UEFA champions league for the 2026/2027 season, the just concluded season was a very interesting one even though myself wasn't able to follow through in most of the games as my primary focus is always on the premier league, but I hope and look forward to following the champions leagues more seriously in this coming season.

Will use this medium also to congratulate PSG for winning the champions league trophy for the just concluded season, it was a big and interesting battle between them Arsenal who held them at 1:1 draw for over 120 minutes of play, and lucky PSG managed to win the league's trophy by defeating Arsenal in the compulsory penalty stage, I am hopefully looking forward to Arsenal winning the trophy this new season especially if they will manage to get to the finals again..

There’s just one month to go until the start of the 2026/2027 Champions League season!!
The teams in the first qualifying round are warming up, and some are hoping to progress through the three rounds to reach the group stage and take on Europe’s top teams. Among the teams likely to stand out in the first round, I would pick Kazakhstan’s Qairat, Romania’s Cluj, Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ and Bulgaria’s Ferencváros. Their fate will also depend on the draw for the play-offs on 16 June. Here we go.

As we all know, PSG is a very rich club, they have all the money in the world. However, we would be smart to remember that they have the highest wage bill of any club in the entire world according to reports. They have 650 million euro per year paid when you combine everything (not just the players). At least that is what I see on google, and everywhere else I look, even with smaller numbers, they are still the club with the highest wage bill. Which means, no matter how rich they are, it is very difficult for them to keep everyone and add more, because winning barely covers their costs.
The only "money" problem they would have would be financial fair play. UEFA rules (and to be fair almost all federations around the world) do not allow some billionaire to come in, spend 10 billion dollars on a single transfer window, pay 50 million to each player out of their own pocket. You think there are no people who can afford to do that? You think Elon is the richest? There are KINGS in this world, believe me, if they wanted to, they could.

Look at Newcastle, literally owned by Saudi king basically, that dude could spend 1 billion every single summer if he wants to and build a team with a billion dollar salary budget. So PSG only needs to take care of FFP, otherwise, spending means nothing for the owner, whatever the team doesn't make, he can pay out of pocket easily. For YEARS they won just the league, and he was capable of paying and still getting great players.

Carrick has added new things to the way Manchester United play as well. He is really a promising manager for them. However I don't see their current squad good enough to play big in the Champions League. Sad

He needs to have a solid transfer window if he wants to keep improving. In the Premier League too things might get more difficult next time. This season was a good chance for them to rise while many other favourites were struggling.

He is a lot more tactically and direct. He reminds me of the Manchester United during the time of Sir Alex Ferguson, I'm grateful he came although I never thought he was good enough for the long-term plans. I will allow him suprise me.
We have just brought in a midfielder, most likely two to three added, a new left winger because we can not trust Luke Shaw for so long.
The Ceo Omar Berrada already said they have a clear plan to see Manchester United win the league next season or before 2028. We will make it happen, as for Champions League, we remain a threat but not so soon.

The finale of the 2027 Champions League is at Metropolitano Stadium which belongs to ATM. What do you say? Will ATM reach further semi finals next time?  Tongue

It'd be some motivation maybe but they need to get lucky with the draw too. By the way since the 2019-20 season they've been able to qualify for at least quarter finals by a 1-year interval. That's a pretty good success by Simeone!

With the way a lot of teams are recruiting and trying to build their team I think the competition will be intense so winning the champions league next season will be difficult. The likes of Real Madrid are looking to spend massively to rebuild their team and there's been rumour that they want some of PSG players, if they succeed in signing them that will definitely affect PSG performance next season and will boost Real Madrid performance next season. No matter who they sell they shouldn't touch their first squad players else the team performance will reduce. If Vitinha or Joao Neves leaves it will affect their game.

PSG has a lot of money. They have not been stingy in strengthening  the squad and buying players. With a lot of money, an experienced manager like Luis enrique has been associated with it. And with the help of this, psg  won two consecutive champions leagues. This season, they have not made any changes  to the squad. And as usual, the team has performed excellently this season too. Luis enrique has managed the team quite well. They have  won both the ligue 1 and champions league titles. Next season, Enrique will probably want to strengthen the  squad a bit. I am waiting to see which players psg  is interested in adding to the squad.
I think PSG What changed PSG was not only Mbappe departure, but also the way the club approached to recruitment and restructuring the team, looking at the players now they look more committed and doing well rather than relying on one individual.
I feel the coming of Louis Enrique systematically change the club, as he was able to move from individualistic football to selecting players that are committed to the team's good, because if you want to look at history, this was a PSG team that had the likes of Lionel Messi, Mbappe and even Sergio Ramos, yet they didn't get this solid, and this goes to tell you that football sometimes is not really about the big names, but building a team around what you have.
Too much stars kills a team especially when each of them are playing for individual glory and not team work. PSG resurrected the champions in them when the last person who plays for his personal glory left there which is Mbappe. This gave Enrique the opportunity to build his team to value team work more than personal gains and this has brought about the back to back UCL trophies they now enjoy.
I feel this is the same thing affecting Real Madrid this period, they've gotten to used to using stars in building their team, and to a large extent, it is affecting them, this is because the team is built around players, and when those players begin to fail, the team begins to struggle. There is nothing wrong in getting star players, but don't build the team around them, let everybody be a contributory factor to the teams progress in such a way that, the style of play shouldn't be individualistic, let those exceptional players bring out their skills when the game begins to get tough or when the need arises but with compliments of those other guys.

Remember Carrick came into Man U when they had only the premier league as a major competition to play, next season he'd undergo the stress of playing both major competitions which will never be easy for him like it'll be for Arteta who has gone through the experience.

Actually, Real Madrid might be doing something wrong. Constantly signing star players is, in my opinion, a risky approach because star players like Mbappé arrive at Real Madrid with already developed egos, and they continue this behavior there. However, when they sign young, promising players like Arda Güler, they can develop them into stars in a few years, and without their egos. But having too many egotistical players in the team can disrupt the peace of mind of these players. Therefore, Real Madrid is suffering from a problem they experienced in the past. They have many star players, and managing the egos of all of them is very difficult.

What you want to do is not to buy star players that have won everything in their previous clubs, and when they finally come to your club, it looks like they are just downgrading and doing you a favor. That was the huge mistake PSG was making just because they had just gotten some financial boost, but I guess they learned from their mistakes with time. Most of the old star players no longer have that hunger and zeal like the young talented chaps.

This is what Real Madrid is going to continue battling for a while.
PSG had more than a decade of spending money and buying star players including three world class players Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. However they only got massive success and won UEFA Champions League titles after they let Neymar, Messi and Mbappe moving to other clubs. Neymar and Messi left first, and PSG tried to do something with Mbappe but failed, Enrique failed to convince Mbappe contributing more for the club in proactively defense and running more when he is not in attacking situations.

Mbappe disagreed with Enriqued and they failed together but latest success of PSG after a transfer of Mbappe to Real Madrid two seasons ago is like a strong evidence and result to prove that PSG and Enrique were right while Mbappe was wrong. Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho will have to enlighten Mbappe and changing him in order to become stronger and win La Liga and Champions League titles next seasons.

PSG have actually focused their attention previously on individual star players like Mbappé, Neymar and Messi and though they have won domestic trophies but the champions league trophy was very out of sight for them but when they shifted their focus from individual star players, they are able to build a more balanced and structured team. We need to give Luis Enrique his credit for building a system that's more balanced and effective, this modern football has demanded that attackers participate in the defense, pressing and overall team organisation. And their recent success has proven that this system is more effective compared to individual brilliance on the field. I must say that Mbappé is a very good player and one of the best in the world right now but every elite player needs a system that maximises the team rather than the individual player. If Mbappé continues in Real Madrid and maintains his strength even as he meets the teams need, both him and the club will definitely be successful.

I am confident that everyone will be optimistic about Manchester United under Carrick's management, but I think it shouldn't be overdone because no matter what, the Champions League competition will be very tough, especially since Man United has been absent from this competition for several seasons, so they can't be overly favored.
I see this realistically and in my opinion, Carrick's focus will be divided, and of course, they will prioritize the Premier League because it is more feasible for them to achieve.

Luis Enrique has changed the overall situation of PSG. There is no doubt about it. Without an experienced and clever manager like enrique, PSG would never have won  the champions league title.

A few years ago, PSG had a stronger squad. PSG  spent a record amount of money to bring Neymar to the squad. Neymar, Messi and Mbappe were in the attack of psg . Even then, they  were not able to win the champions league title. PSG has become stronger  very quickly after Luis Enrique took charge. Winning two champions leagues in a row was undoubtedly a very  difficult task.

Yes but if I were him, I will be focusing on one more than the other. Maintaining second to third place in one of the league and focusing on the trophy on the other league. But if he will be pursuing the two at once, they will end up with winning non. And as I said in other thread, Manchester United will do better in next season because their performance I the previous season in the Premier League was not bad.

This statement is very funny, how do you expect them to sacrifice some of the competition and put focus on the rest, that's not a winner mentality at all because I don't think any person in their right sense would do that, every team is giving their fullest no matter the competition to get their hands on the title so it would silly to actually give up on one just because you want to focus on the others, I mean the time they didn't qualify for the champions league, did they win any trophy they were focused on ?

I gree that PSG has changed but saying they are the strongest is what I don't agree. First of all, do you see how the Champions League arrange the teams after the Knockout stage? I felt it's rigged for Arsenal, all the players in the other end were not tough teams and just like many predicted, Arsenal was going to reach the final and they did and they didn't struggle one bit. If they were pair were Bayen or Chelsea or Manchester City, they wouldn't have smell that final.

PSG played well in the semi final and quater final too but if they have face other hot teams from other side, I don't think they will smell the Champions League final but it's what's by the way, there is another season and I'm sure with the new coming season, the Champions League raffle will not be in favour of PSG if they passed the Knockout stage, you will know that this leagues seems to be arrange than they make us believed that it was a team that won it.

Manchester United have a large fan base, and not playing in the Champions League is always a painful experience for them. The Red Devils have a new coach who has done so well. Now it's time to test his ability outside the EPL.

Carrick has pulled a nearly  destroyed team back together. None of us could have imagined that he  would be able to restore stability to Manchester United's performance so quickly. He has done an incredible job. For this reason, everyone's expectations  will naturally be high on Carrick next season. Moreover, manchester united has qualified for the champions league after a long time. Now it remains to be seen whether Manchester united's  performance remains stable next season. Carrick will  definitely get a decent fund to buy players.
