fenerbahçe has shown from the start of the season that it’s a contender with the way it’s been playing. in fact, even though they’ll be playing away in the second leg against sturm graz who they beat 2-0 in the first leg, they still appear to have the highest odds to win.

they are now just one round away from qualifying for the champions league. let’s see if fenerbahçe can pull off a surprise this season in both the champions league and the super league.
Fenerbahce chances are quite big but the 2nd leg will still look troublesome because if you look at how Sturm Graz in the 2nd Qualifying they are good enough for the home game and this could be a slightly difficult situation if Fenerbahce are too complacent with the 2 goals aggregate they have.

In terms of strength Fenerbahce still looks quite strong with some players who have experience in his squad but this also can not be a guarantee for leg 2 later because playing home to Sturm Graz then they will strive to give their best and make their move continue in qualifying.

Another game that will be interesting for leg 2 is Bodo against Union Saint-Gilloise because for the first leg they are really good matches and I think only Dinamo Zagreb for now will definitely be in the play off phase even though there is still leg 2 but the aggregate has gone too far.

No, it's not just PSG that should be feared and beaten. Bayern are also one of the teams with a very strong squad. As we can see, Bayern have made no changes to their core lineup, and their attack is incredibly sharp, capable of beating any team.

As for Real Madrid not wanting PSG to match their record of winning 3 consecutive Champions League titles, that will be a very difficult task. With a new coach and several changes to the squad, it's unrealistic to expect a significant improvement in just one season.
Mark my word. PSG is not winning it for the third consecutive time. Arsenal just had one job to do, and they just decided to capitalise in the final. It's not only Real Madrid that is supposed to stop PSG. There are lots of other promising teams out there, and they are reinforcing their squads.

Bayer Munich is not a bad contender as well, but then there are Barcelona, maybe Arsenal, Manchester City and many more.

I strongly believe that if Mourinho manages to give Real Madrid a real identity, Real Madrid can go very far in the Champions League. But i also think that there are teams that, more than Real, want to win it again and that have all it takes to do so, such as Bayern Munich, who have a score to settle, i would say more than evident with the Parisians.
Mourinho will probably be more excited about winning the Spanish league trophy than the UCL and will prepare accordingly. It is not easy for any team to focus on multiple tournaments in a season. The upcoming season is just the beginning for Mourinho and he is currently preparing the team and its positive output will be on his strategy as his primary task will be to rebuild the team and secondly to maintain the discipline of the team.

Winning the Champions League would be one of the objectives but the board rush him, they'll want to start with reclaiming victory from the Liliga then focus on the Champions League after the team has been properly organised by Mourinho with a confidence that would help them reclaim the Champions League.

Although something positive is expected of Real Madrid in the Champions League, the players that were recently signed are players with Champions League experience so they're actually preparing for Laliga and Champions League but Laliga objective would be taken more seriously.
A lot of pressure are on Mourinho currently and a lot of fans want him to do and are already having high expectations of him. I know he’s not one to fall under pressure but he’s also not who he once was though still a master tactician and now with the right strings can pull Madrid back together.

The Champions will be a better focus for Jose Mourinho cos the title eluded him the last time at Madrid, he had the best team that never won it. So definitely now will be another chance to try harder, Laliga can come after.
I’ll just advise people to keep their expectations low on this Mourinho and Madrid…. M&M

I think all the big teams know that currently the team to beat for the Champions League is Paris Saint-Germain. And i also think that Real Madrid doesn't want to have any other team on its equal with the record of three consecutive Champions Leagues. Consequently, he will work even harder to prevent the Parisian team from achieving this result.
No, it's not just PSG that should be feared and beaten. Bayern are also one of the teams with a very strong squad. As we can see, Bayern have made no changes to their core lineup, and their attack is incredibly sharp, capable of beating any team.

I’m not disputing the fact PSG won the champions league I mean they deserve their flowers, all this prediction about who’s winning the next champions league is unknown and can’t be determine base on last season performance. If care is not taken PSG might likely win the trophy again even if this prediction is not pleasing I fear PSG might dominate again and stand a chance.
Bayern is really a strong club, I really miss the old days because what exactly is happening with Bayern, I rooted for Bayern last season though they had a great competition, currently I see Bayern, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester city as a major threat next coming season though not confidently sure if Manchester City is making it to a far level, well if every club decides to play best PSG might not stand a chance.

Mark my word. PSG is not winning it for the third consecutive time. Arsenal just had one job to do, and they just decided to capitalise in the final. It's not only Real Madrid that is supposed to stop PSG. There are lots of other promising teams out there, and they are reinforcing their squads.

PSG will have a tough time securing their third consecutive title, as the big teams are already growing weary of their achievements and eager to take the title from them. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, in particular, are two clubs I see as eager to win the Champions League this season.
Furthermore, with the squad they have, I think PSG will face a more competitive season this time around than last. So, if PSG are eliminated before the final, it wouldn't be a surprise.

Don't use the world tough this time instead say they can never secure it this time around as all teams will be out to stop and take that glory away from them this time.
With how prepared all teams are now, i will say this coming season's champions league tournament will be one of the most competitive one as all teams especially premier league teams will not let it pass them this time.
I will say PSG did an impressive job by becoming the European champions back to back and are still coming with same momentum in this year's competition with hope of winning it the same way they have been doing if care is not taken.

I remember when Real Madrid won the champions league trophy back to back for three season under Zenedine Zidane, many people felt that they were not going to win it successively like that, but they were able to win it all and that was one of their best forms as a team. I won’t say PSG can’t replicate the same here, they’re looking very good and have shown the best of performances to put them ahead of all of their opponents in the past seasons, replicating the same thing this season will really make them become even more powerful. We just have to wait to see how the game will turn out to be from their end, because I see them as major contender for the title even though other teams are also looking great to perform well.

Teams from major leagues are currently preparing for the arrival of the UCL, while teams from smaller leagues are battling it out in the qualifiers. In the third round, some teams such as Dinamo Zagreb & Fenerbahçe secured their places after just the first leg.

First Leg Result:
Dinamo Zagreb 5 - 0 Kauno Zalgiris
Fenerbahce 2 - 0 Sturm Graz

Is there anyone here who believes that teams with zero goals can pull off an epic comeback?

Even if PSG were to reach the final again next season, I am not convinced they could win it unless their opponent happened to be Arsenal, or if they faced one of the two teams you mentioned. I recall that Real Madrid once won the Champions League for three consecutive seasons, a unique record for a club of their stature. As for the upcoming season, I believe PSG will face tougher opposition; the teams they defeated last season will possess very different capabilities and strengths in the season ahead.

That seems right to me. PSG are a good team but it won't be easy for them to maintain consistency. Every team is gaining strength and increasing their capabilities. Arsenal were a worthy team to win the trophy last season but tactically they were defeated by PSG.
Apart from Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Chelsea and Man City have a strong chance of performing even better to win the trophy. I don't see much chance for Liverpool in the upcoming season.

Sometimes it's not enough to just look at the results, you also need to follow the teams' games to be able to draw some conclusions.
I watched the match between Dinamo and Kauno Zalgiris and the difference in the quality of these 2 teams is such that there is no chance that Kauno will make some crazy turnaround in the return match and advance to the next round of the Champions League qualifiers.
I wouldn't write off Sturm completely though.
In the previous round of qualifiers, they were very convincing and eliminated the Scottish Hearts with an aggregate score of 6:0, so they are not a bad team.
Turkish teams are always strong at home but usually play weaker away from home and I think that there might be some chance for Sturm.
2:0 is a nice advantage but not unattainable, especially if Sturm scores the first goal early.

I don't think you should be speaking with certainty about this, while I don't think they will be able to pull it off the chances of it happening are still there, no one can argue that they are still one of the best teams in Europe and are definitely going to be among the too contender for the title and if they are lucky enough they might still be able to win it again, Arsenal, Barcelona, Munich and City are all good teams that can win but that's doesn't automatically eliminate PSG.

You can't be too sure of this. So far, PSG is still a very high contender in the tournament and thinking through all the possible team squads so far, PSG still rank high among all. Your mention of Manchester city as a possible contender doesn't seem convincing because the Manchester city we have now is not the Manchester city we used to have even before the end of last season not to talk of now that Pep Guardiola is no longer the team boss. The champions League will be very closely contested but I think the lead teams would be PSG, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Champions League takes a different spirit and I think that Enrique and José Morinho both have the top of that zeal then Arteta. Arsenal may likely not reach the finals depending on their group and pathway.

Fans sometimes make more assumptions than realities and also basing some of their predictions on historical evidence which we know doesn't really work in the modern football. Before real Madrid, every fans believed no team can win the champions League three times in a row, but we saw it under Zinedine Zidane. PSG has a lesser fight to deal with in their local league, so all their efforts will be on the champions League and this is why I don't write them off.

There’s no absolute certainty in what you’re saying because there’s nothing factual to prove. The Champions League is a difficult competition and saying now that PSG cannot win it a third time such certainty might be too early. I don’t know how many people believed PsG will win it again at the beginning of the season, this is how unpredictable Football can be. A team that have never won it now coming to win it twice in a row, if they can maintain their squad and composure what’s to stop them, other teams also tried last season.
All I’m saying it’s just too early to say anything with absoluteness.

No doubt PSG is a good team have the capability to win next season Champions League. But what's the team can do they can set and enjoy how psg can win it. No they are trying to find a solution how to stop psg they are trying to strengthen the squad they do transfer bring some new talent face. So I think it will be very difficult for psg to stay in that's shape in the next season because every team want that's trophy. Just look at Real Madrid they have such good squad to compete with psg same for barcelona they strengthen the squad in same style and I don't think psg can beat barcelona if they find a striker.

PSG are one of the best contenders for the title right now, their form is just top notch and the level at which they play makes them very successful in the league. If care is not taken, they can still win the title in the next champions league because they won the champions league for the first time and won it again, that is complete dominance, The teams that come close to contending with them are Bayern Munich, arsenal they can learn from their mistakes and come back stronger and Real Madrid they are looking promising. But they will definitely be close to winning it even if they don't win it. PSG are in their best form right now and any team that will eliminate them from the champions league next season will have to be a good team that has 95% potential of winning the champions league.

I think this field can be narrowed significantly. In my opinion, Bayern, Real, Arsenal, and PSG are the most realistic contenders. Since PSG has already won twice in a row, I think Real and Bayern will prevent them from extending their record to three victories in a row.

im also going to support what you are saying because there is no way PSG is winning it for the third time in a row, in the final they didnt play that good and all the mistakes were done by arsenal and psg won. this time the fierce teams like barca, madrid, bayern, man city etc would be better than ever, especially barcelona and madrid because barca has most of the players that won the WC and madrid has mourinho. barca having worldcup winners will have a big impact on the team's morale. i will have had my money on BARCA

I watched the match between Dinamo and Kauno Zalgiris and the difference in the quality of these 2 teams is such that there is no chance that Kauno will make some crazy turnaround in the return match and advance to the next round of the Champions League qualifiers.
Turkish teams are always strong at home but usually play weaker away from home and I think that there might be some chance for Sturm.
2:0 is a nice advantage but not unattainable, especially if Sturm scores the first goal early.

Ok, got the conclusion from your POV, mate.

Dinamo Zagreb was indeed the favorite from the start, consequently Kauno Zalgiris essentially stood no chance. Five goals aggregate deficit makes matters even worse for Kauno Zalgiris, so they can no longer harbor any hopes for the second leg.

On the other side, you remain confident in Sturm Graz, provided they secure an early lead. IMO, even though Sturm Graz scored an early goal, it wouldn't change anything, the difference in player quality is the decisive factor in the match between these two teams.

Yes, I agree, the Champions League is the highest quality club competition and all the clubs in the qualifiers want the ''ultimate prize'', to qualify for the group stage of the competition.
I think Dinamo is on the right track to qualify for the group stage of the competition again, but in the final round they will face a very difficult and unpleasant opponent, the Norwegian champion Viking.
There were no major surprises from the other matches in this round of qualifiers for the Champions League, except perhaps Lyon's defeat against Sparta and I expected more from Olympiacos at home.

The matches to access the group stage of the Champions League have recently shown more and more evidence that the underdog teams are still able to cause serious difficulties for teams that should be able to enter with great ease. The matches last 90 minutes anyway, so never take anything for granted.
