Perhaps you don't need to track your wins and losses if you stake an amount of money that you can afford to lose. But there is one thing that's certain as a Gambler and that's the fact that you cannot win In the long run. No matter how much you win from gambling as a long as you are a consistent gambler you are going to lose more, there is no way around it. The only way to avoid this is to stop being a regular gambler.

Most gamblers remember the good times and not the losses. If they start making a list in a spreadsheet about wins and losses they will start making an endless despair cycle which will stop them from documenting it further. Indeed the loses are cumulatively much higher than the wins and hence we have to keep this in mind when gambling.

Future in gambling is bright for the casino, dark for the players. It has always been like that even in the past and present.

The one who survives long term is the one who is promoting the casino, not the player.
If your data shows that your losses are huge and you would despair, is that not a sign that one should stop gambling and stop deluding yourself about your situation? I mean just because you hide from the truth, that won't make it go away will it? A lot of people are desperate to hold onto activities that they should not engage in. Gambling is not for everyone. Some people simply have better results at it while others have worse, with or without analysis and instead of looking for things that are more appropriate for yourself some people here tend to hold on as if they life depended on it.

That is not a valid excuse to be lazy. Everyone here is on average wasting up to 25% of each day on pointless activities -- pursuits that lead to nothing, contribute to nothing and are just a display of laziness. Do not look for reasons to avoid doing the bare minimum work in your life. People should track these things regardless of whether they play within or beyond their means, that is what it means to have a healthy financial and gambling discipline -- and not the imaginary reasons that many have put forth in some others threads. Just do the work, stop looking for reasons to avoid it and stop hiding from the truth.

Do you believe you have a future in gambling?
To be honest I do not believe to have any future in gambling or to betterment my life through gambling rather gambling to spare time and have fun without excessively looking at the profit behind it because I know that it is not coming forth as we expected. Therefore, while gambling I do it for the pleasure and not for the benefit, couples with gambling with what I wouldn’t for any day counts much about the loses rather feels normal when I didn’t have any winning while gambling but if there is any winning on the process then I would have to take it as additional benefit or profit from it to fuel it up.
If someone starts gambling as entertainment, then they should have a mindset of losing the money they allocate for gambling. A mindset of losing keeps a person away from unrealistic expectations. This kind of mindset is more necessary for those who primarily see gambling as a source of money or a solution to financial problems. Even if they start playing for entertainment, some wins are encouraging and our brains are naturally attracted to such rewards. Due to which the boundaries between entertainment and profit expectations become blurred for a person. Therefore, everyone should set a financial limit that he can take even if he loses and will not be disappointed. This can be a reasonable position if someone uses money in gambling as an expense for entertainment. The money that is beyond his needs.

So my question is, do you have that kind of discipline? Do you really know how much you already lost and won in gambling?
In the past, every month I might always look at or check that data, how much I had deposited and how much I had withdrawn. But not anymore. The reason is that when I saw numbers I didn’t expect, it triggered me to start a new gaming session to chase the losses, as if we don’t want to lose or haven’t reached our target. That’s why now I will ignore that and just enjoy gambling with the budget I have set. As long as it doesn’t exceed that amount, I actually still feel quite safe.

In gambling, there is no point in keeping track or record of past wins or losses because those wins or losses will not play any role in your next bet. However, in order to know how a gambler should manage his gambling, the results of previous bets can play a good role in keeping the gambler somewhat in control. Especially the gambler knows what his betting conditions is. If the gamblers losses are high, he can reduce his betting ratio. If there is a significant betting history in the past, especially if there is a mistake, then perhaps he can learn from that mistake in the future and reduce the risk for the next bet, but the direct records of results of the bet cannot play any positive role in gambling.

Do you believe you have a future in gambling?

For me, one character of a gambler who might survive long term is someone who actually tracks his wins and losses. Not just remembering the big wins, but also counting the losses, checking the net profit or loss, and trying to see if there is really improvement.

checking those things in gambling will make you to have a high blood pressure so anyone who is into gambling supposed to know but all those things are not necessary for way to check in gambling we only need to understand the processes of gambling, and know that the gambling is all about luck so checking your previous profit you met from gambling and the your previous losses in gambling that will make you to develop a BP so it is not good for checking everything by benefit from gambling and not benefit from gambling, what is important in gambling is for you to set up your budget so that you will not gamble above your budget and anyone that they have the time to check record of what it has lost in gambling that means the person does not gamble with budget

So my question is, do you have that kind of discipline? Do you really know how much you already lost and won in gambling?

In my case, I will only try to know the amount of winning I have realized, but I can't put myself under the pressure to know how much I'm losing in gambling, but it is very easy for me to track on the winning rate and amount because it is rear to win and very common to lose, while knowing the money loss could be discouraging and disheartening if we know about all these.

For me, one character of a gambler who might survive long term is someone who actually tracks his wins and losses. Not just remembering the big wins, but also counting the losses, checking the net profit or loss, and trying to see if there is really improvement.

Because without records, it is easy to fool ourselves. We remember the lucky days, but forget the losing streaks.

So my question is, do you have that kind of discipline? Do you really know how much you already lost and won in gambling?

Or are you the type of gambler who only remembers the wins, and slowly forgets the losses?

I do have monthly deposit calculation and withdrawals, if my monthly spend in casino is more than what I have withdda from casino, I will stop betting and look for where it went wrong. Some gamblers track their bet history to see the money they have spend and they have loss but it's stressful compared to when you do monthly take home. Some people even use there bank deposit and withdraws, if they have more deposit from their bank than they receive, they know something is wrong.

Some gamblers don't care about the loss because they believe that the day they win, they are going to recover every penny they have loss to the casino. This looks reasonable but only for those people that are good in gambling. Sometimes when I see some gamblers lose money, I wonder how they track their loss but ty same way they lose their money is the same place it will come back in 100x and it's not going to be one time win, it's multiple times.

I personally gamble for entertainment. Gambling is not a source of income or a method of saving that I need to improve my future. Rather, I gamble for entertainment and enjoyment along with work. But you are right that sometimes we need to calculate our profit and loss. Even though I don't keep a record of my winnings and losses, I can still say that I am still losing. But the loss is not a big deal, rather the fact that I am not gambling with my necessary money or debt is the big deal. I always gamble with an extra part of my income and the purpose is entertainment. But no one likes losing, even if it is entertainment.

I think there is no future in gambling because where the outcome of gambling is uncertain and we can never be absolutely confirm what the outcome of gambling will be, the future cannot be built on uncertain things. When thinking about the future we must think about a reliable income. I think gambling is for entertainment it is not right to choose gambling to make money as this increases the risk of losing money many times over. It is not very important to keep track of how much money we have lost through gambling. It is better to keep an eye on what we can lose and gamble only for entertainment purposes.

I don't think there is a future in gambling, gambling is just a form of entertainment. It is not a source of income or an investment.

It is very important to be responsible and disciplined in gambling, otherwise you are likely to become addicted to gambling. Since gambling is based on luck, spending time on statistics of winning and losing is just a waste of time. Because these statistics will not be of any use in the future, you have to gamble depending on luck.

I think the majority of gamblers would steer clear of their win to loss ratio, even if the casino you're using has it as an available option. Which is perfectly fine really, if you're only on the site occasionally and do it for a bit of fun there's even the possibility that you hover around breakeven. I've hit a few sites in the past just for welcome bonuses and know that I'm positive on them, but there's one or two other sites that I must be in the negative because of never making a withdrawal. If you're doing sports betting it can actually be a good challenge to check back and see how you're performing, are you making straight losses and how can you optimize or learn from that information.

I remember neither.

Perhaps the major wins and losses but there is no point in keeping track unless you are doing so to prevent yourself from losing more money than you planned. Which could be a good idea to keep yourself in check. Although personally, I prefer sticking to a budget and having the self-discipline to not add more money to that budget. But either way, a self-made set of rules and guidelines or any other type of self-reflection is encouraged.

As a gambler, tracking your wins or losses is very necessary, because it will enable you to know if generally you are on profit or at loss.
As for me, without even tracking all my wins, and losses, I know am at loss, because my losses are greater than my wins.
Recording more losses than wins can be very discouraging, and sometimes make gamblers very slow towards gambling.
It is necessary not to gamble all the time because of the nature of gambling, because the more you gamble on long loosing streak, the more you might likely loose. So on long loosing streak, I take some break, and if possible restrategise to limit losses.

The fact that gambling is a game of luck doesn't mean that it is useless to make use of statistics while predicting the outcome of a bet. This can increase the chances of a gambler's luck.

No, I do not see entertainment shaping my future.  It is just an activity to pass the time.

It is really needed to keep track of the finances.  It is greatly needed for financial management.  if we failed to know where our money is going too or coming from, how much money is earned and how much money we spent, we might end up with negative.  So knowing the cash flow is essential to keep us from certain negative surprises.

Honestly I never see gambling as a way to build a future but rather as a means of entertainment. I used to play weekly poker on the forum, now I sometimes play casino games. So I think knowing your limits is more important than looking for a career or future. And keeping records is very important. Many gamblers remember a big win for years but forget the countless small losses in between. And I will say that the moment someone starts looking at gambling as an income or a future plan, that's when they make the biggest mistake, So I would say bankroll management is important here.

Do you believe you have a future in gambling?
Well sometimes, we find out that the excitement of the winning days, actually covers up for the lossing days we had experienced. That's if we are able to stick with a good risk management plan. This helps us minimise how much we risk and how much profits we make when we recover them all. It's actually good to keep account of all the games we play regardless of if it's a win or loss. Most gamblers font see the use of it, probably because we gamble for fun. And someone who really doesn't mind losing might not want to go back to see his losses. Someone else who is emotional could see his history and get angry. We know how gambling can be sometimes that's why we try to do anything to avoid being too attached to wins or losses..

Not exactly that much discipline in my life, but I have something that I can control, my sleep and the activity of losing and winning. In fact, I am a little possessive about how much I earn and lose, as I came here not to lose but to increase the profits. So whenever I lose, I tell myself that I earn a lot, and then I start some calculations of loss and win. When the overall sum is positive, I were happy and joyful

So my question is, do you have that kind of discipline? Do you really know how much you already lost and won in gambling?

Or are you the type of gambler who only remembers the wins, and slowly forgets the losses?
I have not built an interest in tracking my wins and my losses to ascertain if I am at a loss or a profit. My main means of ensuring that I do not gamble more than I should is by having a budget. The money I use for gambling is insignificant so there is no need to follow it up because it could be time-consuming. It is time-consuming for me because my work is demanding and I use more than one gambling platform.
