It took almost 3 years to give judgement, now how many more years would it take to pass the punishments? Are they going to wait till they win another trophy?

It’s time to relegate these cheats and give them a long transfer ban. They’ve lied and cheated to win all the trophies they’ve had since the new ownership came in 2008 or whatever it was. They’ve made a mockery of English football.

Funny, if they get stripped of their PL titles since 2008 or so, Chelsea is getting none - others are getting 2-3 and we're left with nothing. Hahaha we've been shit for ages

You are absolutely correct and I agree with you on your opinion and viewpoint because this whole saga of 115 charges is taking way too long to be delivered and I'm begining to sense that there's a monkey finger in it and most likely Manchester City will bribe their way out of the charges because tell me that of Everton FC was quickly acted on and they deducted 10points from thrm and they nearly got relegated if not relegated from the premier League so why is theirs taking this long?.

If an individual or organisation si found guilty, the judges need to deliberate on the punishment that will be handed out, and it takes some time for that to happen. In the case of Manchester City, the exact sentencing or sanction date has not been fixed.

The club has fourteen days to appeal the judgement, and I am sure they would do that. The owner of the club is from the United Arab Emirates. There have been accusations that the English goverment targets clubs owned by foreigners. I don’t know about such allegations. It’s true the UK government forced Roman Abrahamovich to sell Chelsea but let’s not use that as an excuse for Manchester City. In this case, Manchester City broke multiple premier league financial rules, it isn’t as if the PL is making it up to punish a foreign owned club. Funny enough, I didn’t hear this accusation when Chelsea, Everton were found guilty. Do you think it would have made a difference if City was owned by an Englishman?

Enzo Maresca had an eye on Manchester city right when Pep Guardiola was still waxing with the club, city only granted his desire at a time they needed a good replacement for Pep.

The bitter truth in all that is going on about football fans anticipations on Manchester city receiving a strong punishment for their shit deeds is that they may not face any steeper penalties but will be something mild

City is a big club in the premier league and are making big revenue for the league, a point deduction punishment that will relegate them to lower division is one thing I doubt. And forfeiture of trophies won will be very damaging to the club's and players that were in those seasons. And the post effects will never leave the club remaining the same.

May be this what has been making this case linger than it should cause they might be calculating a way out to punishments that may not deeply fall the club.

He fooled the entire football world into believing that he’s one of the greatest managers to ever do it, but in reality is that he’s only won trophies by having the best players in every position. And of course the allegations following his time in Barcelona doesn’t help his reputation either. I hope after all this, people can see that Pep isn’t a genius, it doesn’t take an extraordinary mind to win trophies with that City squad.

Probably next season, and am probably thinking it's taking long because it has never happened and they need to set a precedent for how to handle any similar future cases and need to take their time by interpretation of he correct laws, otherwise not as easy as it sounds to pass judgement.

Now surely the time to say a final conclusion is around the corner because the reports clearly reveal that the independent panel has found them guilty of 114 out of the 115 charges. But we all know the magnanimous wealth behind the club will still find a way to keep the case going for a while. The club will surely be preparing for an official appeal and they have enough financial muscle to drag the legal fight through any court of competent jurisdiction for as long as possible. The initial decision is out but the deep pocket backing the club will make sure the punishment takes a long time to manifest.

I doubt we will even see up to a 20 point reduction, probably 10 at most, plus who knows, the their appeal could very well end in their favour, this definitely won't be the first time a case gets turned on it's head after it got appealed.
I was always on Manchester City's side all these years, they were my second favourite club, I can't even speak up against a Manchester United fan friend of mine, his is busy doing everything he can to rub this on my face, saying my favourite Manchester club is a fraud.

Well that’s your opinion and I’m sure there is no convincing you. My argument is that anybody could have won the EPL with that City team. Pep never had to build a team the way SAF, Mourinho, Arteta had to. Pep always had the resources to buy the best of the best you can’t argue against that.

Looking at this case about Manchester City breaking financial fair play rules, and how the football governing body has reacted poorly concerning it, I think that it's now more political, and I wouldn't be that surprised if the English football governing body decides go for fine as punishment than getting them relegated or deducting a huge point from them.

If it was a smaller club, I am sorry to say this, that they would have been penalized a long time ago, and offense like this might even take them to league two as punishment, but regardless of my sentiment here, all eyes is on the football governing body to see what punishment they might give to Manchester City.

The severity of the punishment might only cause Manchester City to lose their lead for the Premier League championship, and fines which Manchester City can afford because they have the money to pay up. I see City haters happy that City is guilty of almost all the charges, and hoping they could be relegated. I believe City's punishment cannot be so intense, not when City are generating a reasonable revenue for the league.

A penalty of 10 or even 20 points is unrealistically low, there is absolutely no way that could happen. Clubs have been handed 5-point deductions for a single violation (given mitigating circumstances and following appeals), which represents the minimum threshold for one offense. As for appeals, my understanding is that the investigation and the finding of violations can no longer be challenged, that stage is completely closed. An appeal to the CAS (where they managed to fend off UEFA) won't work either, since all the proceedings are currently taking place within the English legal jurisdiction.

If that is the turnout of this situation, then it would be an embarrassment for the Premier League. Here we're not talking about a single small charge, we're talking about 114 charges confirmed out of 115. I was expecting City to be charged with maybe 20 or 30% of those charges, not 100%. This situation is huge, and there is no turnaround at this point, they either give them a very serious punishment otherwise the Federation will look like completely useless, powerless.

Despite the number of charges politics might come into play in this case, Man city currently is among the biggest clubs in the world and deducting huge points from them that could relegate them to the championship won’t do the football community any good, first the team will lose lots of fans and sponsors which in turn will affect the English football revenue and the football governing board won’t want that since Man city is amongst there top teams.

I think people don't understand what these charges are about, or it's because they are rivals, finas. Man City didn't cheat to win any of their title. None of Manchester City's titles would be stripped from them. There were no charges of referee bribery or match fixing, so they won their matches. What they are accused of is reporting false financial information, failing to properly disclose how much they paid to players and staff, Breaching UEFA fair play (which a lot of clubs have done), breaching the Premier League profitability and sustainability, and failure to cooperate with the investigation.

So there is no way the punishment for these will affect the trophies they won. Besides, the charges are from 2009-2018, they won only three league titles in that period. The worst punishment for Man City, if found guilty, because they will appeal all this, would be heavy fines and points deductions.
