Do America really need to Co-host the World cup?

I've known American to be a country that loves basketball more, they rarely watch football ( soccer), so they might not really relate with what this tournament means to the rest of the World especially football fans.

Partly, that might be one of the reason for some of the complains that has been coming up even before the commencement of the world cup in the united states but there is more to the conversation than wether or not the united states is a football loving nation. there is going to be life after the whole world cup and as a nation that seems to have a lot of issues with other neighboring nation, it is normal that they put their security first before any other thing.

America stands central in the worlds politics and it is not possible that they get carried away with the world cup and make certain security mistakes that will affect their nation after the tournament has ended. Even is America is not a footballing nation, they still have the right to host the world cup because there are still an handful of American citizens that also plays football. if their is a an action that comes from them that is favorable for the competition, FIFA should speak up and not allow themselves to be pushed as a body that doesn't have force. As for the Somali referee, i think God just used this rejection to announce him because the UEFA has even called him after the incident.

I've read on several social media platforms where people have been denied entry Visa to America to watch the World Cup, some of the applicants literally have all the documents required, some are even denied entry after arrival, Hotels have been booked already, and some are even complaining of the fact that even the tickets to watch the games have been bought despite how very expensive they are.

Was having this talk with a friend yesterday night who lives in the USA and wondered why the POTUS have continued to show how passionate he is about how he dislikes the African countries including Nigeria. During his first tenure as the president of the country, he made the same attempt to stop many Africans from going to the USA through Visa bans and others now he is still practicing it again. I know even Nigerians are going to suffer from the blow of this and if I am a Nigerian I won’t bother myself as much to travel to the USA to watch especially when the Nigerian national team are already out of the tournament or not even a part of it. Personally, I’ve never been fascinated about traveling to the USA because I feel like deep down they are some of the biggest racists ever liveth and I would not want to live or love someone who has perpetually shown me they hate my natural existence.

We have known for a long time that America is strict in terms of immigration policy. I do not know how consistent it is with the World Cup in this regard, but many have already complained about how much America, as the host country of the World Cup, has been able to make the World Cup spectacular and good for the audience. Usually, this World Cup is for high-end people, especially due to the high price of tickets, a class of people will only watch the World Cup on television this year. Moreover, due to the implementation of strict immigration policies, many will not be able to go directly to the field to watch the World Cup games. America may also be questioned in providing security for Iran, the host country this year.

Yes, I don't think it has so much to do with the fact that it's about the World Cup itself, as it does with the historic political moment that the country is going through. With that "America First" thing the focus has been on immigration, and I would almost dare to say that this type of incident, if they are not agreed, at least they do favour a certain wing that seeks controversy to attract the attention of potential voters. Of course, the World Cup and the world in general deserve better.

You have not answered the question of the OP, rather, you are stating reasons why the Americans have decided to take the situation of security to an extreme length, where it is no longer called security but racial discrimination and political differences. Well, I dont blame the Americans, I only blame FIFA.

He's only taking a detour from the obvious given subject which is something that shouldn't be because the World Cup is a game that people spend four years preparing towards and it's really sad to see that they get denied form having access to watching these games live after they have spent so much for both financial, time and energy. A man with so many enemies shouldn't seek to organise a community event, because of course, everyone would be free to want to attend since it's a community event regardless of who the host is. America as a country was coerced to host the games, they voluntarily agreed to, so I really don't understand the many dramas even if security measures has to employed. FIFA indeed has to be blamed over this disruptions.

Every host Nation has the right to enforce their security policies and immigration policies. World cup is a very unique event that brings the players,the  journalist and the other sporting staff from all over the world into one place , if the visitors official visitor special tournament officials are facing visa difficulties and their denying the excess then it is creating a very negative image and razing concern about the America , but these type of cases do not guaranteed or do not necessary mean that US is incapable of hosting the tournament, every year million of visitors enter the country , same in the world cup will likely to attract the million of tourist as well.

USA should have been strip the right to host this world cup because of the war they started in Iran. Russia invaded Ukrainian and the country was banned from world footballing activities. You are stopping people from going into your country for a crime they never committed? When has someone's belief and faith become a crime? There is lot of nonsense around this World Cup and story of referee probably summarizes it best. It's not some random spectator who wasn't allowed into US, we're talking about participant of World Cup. Everything what is related with Iran in this World Cup is also ridiculous.
Previous World Cups in Qatar and Russia were also very questionable selections, but from what I remember there was less scandals related with these tournaments.

This is going to be a really bad World Cup, where it is very difficult for players, referees and spectators to participate. I think a big tournament like the World Cup should not be held in a country like America with a strict visa policy. There has already been criticism of America's strict visa policy, especially when a referee from Somalia was not allowed to enter. It is even possible that an Iraqi player was harassed after entering America. America could definitely have been more flexible with those involved in the World Cup. FIFA should definitely learn from this and consider the visa policies of countries when hosting the World Cup.

Should they even be hosting the FIFA world cup competition?! No they shouldn't! Most of you lots forget they're solely responsible for dragging the world economy backwards with the aggressive war launched on Iran.

How are they any different from what they claimed Russia is doing to Ukraine?! In my opinion, the FIFA president is compromised otherwise he'd have defended all these bs from happening. This is the first FIFA World Cup Competition that doesn't feel like a FIFA World Cup Competition in the slightest way.
