Scammers are everywhere, and it’s only people who wants to be scammed that would be scammed, because personally for me, I know football very well and I know that, it’s only in the Leagues most especially in the Premier League that games can comfortably be fixed for a particular team to win the Premier League.

And I have also heard about some story about some teams in the Italian Seria A, most especially Juventus, and Arsenal winning the English Premier League last season I think it was fixed with the level of official I was seeing the Premier League which was a very poor officiating.

So I think I can confidently say that there is no match fixing in the World Cup, it’s mostly in the League games, the Local Leagues that we keep watching.

I would not go as far as saying those who get actually scammed are people who wish or want to get scammed, those who actually lose their money in such a stupid way are just ignorant on how betting works and the technical differences between the biggest football event of the planet, and their local national leagues.
Ignorance can be very expensive, that is why there are people who are willing to way for such an important intangible good that education is. You know ?.

Giving preferential treatment for one player makes who tournament as scam and turns team that player is in a cheaters? Who ever is going to run such scam strategy is a very risky person, as one good leg kick and Messi is out, and it will cost only 1 red card Those who have lost, will always try to find reason to blame winner and everything for them will be suspicious. It is always amazing to note how many people on this forum do not even have basic thinking capability or any critical thinking skills at all. They are engaging in any topic in the most backward way that is possible. In the discussion here it is clear that there are no more than a handful of users that are able to provide any kind of analysis that has any resemblance to something objective. Usually they are just biased in favor of something or against it, and then they cherry pick evidence to support that and make up all sorts of nonsense. I mean to even claim that FIFA is completely corrupt and in favor of Messi based on a few examples of cherry picking whereas you can find plenty of counter-examples is as dumb as it gets basically. There is absolutely no proof of any kind of favoritism, and I do not even like Messi -- he and his whole nation are boring.

FIFA is an organization that should be regulated by other bodies to prevent anything that can look so suspicious like a scam and for fans to be complaining about this, it could send a signal that something is going on which needed to be fixed.
If there is something FIFA is not doing that need to be fixed, people that knows about what's happening can talk about it which  can lead to discussion that will make people ponder about it and gradually others hearing about it can bring their own evidence in a case where things are not going right.

I totally agreed with you, if people are complaining about a particular thing, that means it really needs to be fixed before it can turn to another thing and you know, anything that is international can start to result to something that will be uncomfortable for everyone if not handled early and properly, because the fans and the players has right on how they wants thing to be, as they contributed to the growth of the match or teams.

What you say is true but this isn’t only applicable to Messi lovers alone, I see this even more with Ronaldo lovers. I love Messi just as much as I do Ronaldo, I feel they’re both great players, but I’m not of the opinion that they are perfect, just like some of their fans believe they are. One should never let their affection of love for a player or team mess with their ability to see clearly. Also, I won't blame the fans for saying about the favouritism to Messi due to the favours he has been given to and like I always said, even if that seems to be true, nothing will change because at the end of the day, their plans will be achieved. So, the best option is just that one should quietly watch and enjoy the game, as it not beneficial to let outside talks ruins your happiness or fun in the game.

Most times when i hear people say FIFA favors Messi i will just laugh, in life once you are doing well people will always talk and make it look like it is because you are favored, am yet to see any favor to Messi, in the Argentina last match against Egypt the time that Egypt scored a clear goal didn’t they count it? why wasn’t the goal disallowed? the particular goal that was disallowed was a clear fowl, we literally say we’re the Egyptian player drew the Argentine down, their are certain things that you can’t favor someone to win and football is one of such, i use to tell people that do your best and no one can interchange you, if Egypt had continued to press Argentina and scored another clear goal their won’t have been anyway that the referee would disallow it but instead Egypt fell back and started defending that caused more pressure on them and that was what led to the goals.

I thought with the invention of Var the corruption will reduce in football but its worsen everyday. This current fifa president IA the most corrupt president of fifa, in this world cup he has made so many mistakes by overturned USA player Balogun red cRd because Trump called him to overturned it. All fifa rules are broken to favor their favorite teams and players in this tournament.

It's so shameful to see our beloved sport being reduced to nothing for political ans selfish reasons, I saw a petition online calling for the fifa president to resign because of his corruption, football fans no longer trust the fifa officials and leadership. Very true, we saw that how worried Messi was during that match and he performed extremely well and that's why Argentina won the match against Egypt. I must say that in first half Egypt performed way better and even in 2nd half their performance was really good but when Argentina team saw that they'll have to goal against Egypt to win the match then they did their best and won the match by scoring 3 goals while Egypt had only 2 goals. I must say that team Egypt is getting better and in next World cup they'll surely be a tough team and they might reach semi finals or finals in that World cup.

I don't know what's playing on karl_3000 head for him to think that there is no way that the world cup can be rigged, there is absolutely everyway possible man, and when we talk about some of the games being rigged we don't mean that both teams should be aware of the case like the way it's literally done in lower league, I mean football is regulated by a body and when that body is corrupt what else then do you expect? Their is the case of referee absolutely blowing shit out of the games and also VAR calls is another means that these stupid fucks called FIFA can use to spoil the beautiful game..

Sorry but don't be a pessimist, I don't see any thing wrong with the ongoing world Cup tournament to the fair, considering the fact that no institution formed and managed by man is perfect, fifa being an institution formed and managed by men isn't perfect, when it comes to their dealing, decision and so on, there is the possibility of them making mistakes here and there, but that does not mean that institution isn't doing well, they are doing well and have actually done a good job in this world Cup even though some decisions were uncalled for and could have been handled better.

And speaking of bets being poured into the world Cup and it's what has kept the world Cup going according to you, I would love to ask, how is bets being poured into the world Cup and how has this kept the tournament going? There are some things that are so obvious and open that we shouldn't try to defend or conceal, coz doing so isn't what folks are supposed to do.. Just take a look at the Road that Portugal took starting from the group stage.. Even France has been on a very competitive path.. if it was Argentina that took that same path as Portugal or France, then Argentina would have longed be eliminated am very confident of that..

If someone promises that they will give 100% accurate results on the information they tell I think that is a huge red flag.

You are right about the series of advantages Argentina had in this world cup, indeed it was a lucky privilege but is not something FIFA had purposely done for them to be wining, is not about defending but is fact that nothing was done to help Argentina, besides is there any country from the ones that have lost that Argentina cannot win if it was the ones they gave them iin there group and in all the rounds. Was Switzerland also a weak country they gave Argentina?, I no that you are very convinced of all this things believe but all the  fact I have seen so far didn't prove any favouritism on the world cup.

In the very beginning of this thread, i was by passing this thread because i don't believe that FIFA world cup tournament can be a scam, nothing on till when i heard the investigation over Argentina football association by FBI and a friend of mine was able to identify that from the group stages down to the quarter final that Argentina team is right now, the pairing of Argentina team to meet the teams they  can be able to winning easily was given to Argentina to play in this FIFA world cup, please my fellow investors, i don't know how true is this talk so me help me and check, if what my friend said was right about Argentina team not meeting a strugger teams up to quarter final of the game.

That is why one should not just conclude of what they are not sure of, and should not also be interested to know what will add no value to their lives, as their opinions won't even matter, because trying to get information that their complains won't be heard will only destroy their lives and plans, as they might be scammed due to how they are blinded by their emotions. The truth is just that, the game is still entertaining people and even if their rules are being corrupted,  at the end of the day it remains what it is but this mindset helps to keep one away from scams.

You can control what people thinks or how they react to things because everyone got the right to say or think whatever thing they want. But, for me I totally agreed with you, as nothing on earth its not rigged in one way or the other and football won't be an exception because its not controlled by a robot, it is controlled by group of people who will always want to be favoured in their own way and that is why I can't vouch for anything because doing it might lead me into frustration.

Well, I have agree though, the world Cup tournament is unlike any other in the world and in football, it's one of the most unique and iconic tournaments which both fifa body, the countries/team that will be playing, and almost every one around the world always look forward to when ever it is it's season, if we are talking about match fixing in the sense where it has to involve teams without the knowledge of fifa, then I think that is completely impossible, even though I don't believe in impossibilities anyway..

But one thing we all can not deny is the that favorism is also a big issue in the world, and fifa can choose to fix any match in the world Cup is they choose to, they have the power to, and they have the connection, but then, we the fans are simply believing in them based on trust, believing that they can do any thing to hurt or break the trust the whole world and fans of football has in them to offer a good and fair gaming ground for all.
