For those that have come to understand betting and football they know that such does not exist, If the scammers had access to such informations they would not need to sell it to others because they will be too busy making money for themselves.

That can also be applied to other sports and other leagues, even smaller leagues which do not have anything to do with the world cup.
That is why I don't believe it would be possible for someone to sell privileged information in exchange of money, because that privileged information is worth a lot of money by itself. And in the end of the day, nobody would sell a golden egg chicken in exchange of a handful of dollars.

Honestly, I have never met someone gullible enough to fall for something like that and I hope I never will. Because it would make me very mad to witness someone I know to lose their money to scammers in such ridiculous way.

I know someone that fell for it in the past. I told him that it is a scam, but he did not listen to me. Another reason I was not convinced enough was that the matches were taken from French Ligue 2 which I believe manipulation there will be very little and in a way that match fixing will be difficult.

The guy was given two matches there to win over 20 odds but he lost both matches and lost the money twice.The first money he lost was the money paid to those that gave him false information, while the second money lost was the money he used to bet on the two matches.

Why do you find this ridiculous? We have seen before how money can be used to manipulate games. However, it is true that it is very difficult to believe in such a big event as the World Cup. However, I read somewhere before that FIFA said that people outside the field can try to influence players, referees or officials for financial gain to change the outcome of the match in their favor. This is actually a serious crime but not completely ridiculous. You may think that it is impossible in such a big event as the World Cup, but it can be financially possible. All these fabricated incidents are not very common, but they are not impossible.

For me it is funny that people think that only matches where one exact players is playing or exact team are fixed, and the rest football industry are playing fair How many times people have said that games with Messi in were fixed, but said not a single word when in other games ref made a mistake or it was obvious that something fishy was happening. That's why I don't bet on the lower leagues because I accept the likelihood that something like this could happen there. Why would I bet on something I don't have to? I'd rather bet on the top league. Although, if something similar happens in the top league and many people know about it, they might not talk about it because they're worried about their safety, as the money involved is huge.

I'm not doubting about match fixing, I know that it exists because we've heard stories about players and officials who connive with moneybags to rig matches so it's nothing new even in the big leagues, as far as bets are concerned and there are millions to make from it on a very short time some privileged people will always be tempted to fix matches. But the world cup is quite different, although it is possible to rig world cup matches but I don't think that it would be like the riggings at club levels, players in the world cup are only for a short period of time and they are playing for the pride of their country. Being part of a rigging syndicate while playing for your country is very unpatriotic, it's not as if rigging for a clubside is acceptable but I still believe that players would be less willing to rig against their country. Rigging is bad at all the levels and if anybody is caught they should face the consequences.

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Corruption exists everywhere to some degree, and sports are no exception. And in an organization like FIFA, it's bound to exist by default. Replacing Infantino might reduce corruption within the organization for a short while, but it won't eliminate it. It's possible that Infantino himself was clean when he first became FIFA president, but over time, as he managed operations and massive sums of money, he started getting increasingly tangled up in corrupt schemes. Whether FIFA will actually benefit from a change of leadership, I don't know.

This is a point a lot of people actually don't understand, which is funny, because they fall victim to such scams without even thinking about it. Someone who says that they got a software which can hack Bitcoin wallets, any valid wallet that you can find with bitcoins can be hacked with it, but you can get the software for $500 for lifetime, and guess what? Some people will fall for it, without thinking that if the seller actually had a software that could hack wallets, why would they take $500 for it and sell it to them? Why wouldn't they use that software to hack wallets worth more than $500 themselves and make more money? These are just such simple scams but some people still fall for them.

The same thing happens in gambling as well, it also happens in trading. In gambling, if someone comes to you and says that they have some insider information about a game that is coming up very soon, and they demand that you pay them some money and you will get the information, you should understand that it is not true, because if they really had any information, they wouldn't give it to you for any amount, because they could make way more by just making a bet themselves.

In my opinion, match-fixing at such a high level is impossible! Yes, FIFA bureaucrats are certainly capable of manipulating things like the selection of the World Cup host country or the mechanism for selling broadcast rights, etc. However, I don't believe they are capable of actively interfering in or influencing the outcome of a football match. 🙋

Nevertheless, referees can, of course (in some cases), favor Argentina and Messi over other teams and players. However, in my opinion, this has nothing to do with corruption. It's simply a consequence of psychological pressure. Referees are human too. They know that Argentina is a former world champion, and Messi is an idol for millions. Therefore, they are afraid of incurring the wrath of the South American team's fans.

What the person that started this topic is saying is about ways scammers are using to lure their victims about world cup. One of it that where he was referring to is match fixing. Those who support Argentina might say that the match was rigged, but those who are not Argentina supporters would never call it a rigged match. In my opinion, the World Cup final was not rigged at all. Both teams played their best game. Maybe Argentina didn't play their best game, which is why they didn't do well in the final match. I don’t believe that match mixing is possible in World Cup, people that are saying that FIFA are Favoring Argentina are mostly Cristiano Ronaldo fans, it can be true that the referees are in one way or the other favoring Argentina but when we talk about match mixing it is an agreement between both teams and the officials I don’t think this will ever be possible in World Cup competition.
Argentina has a very good team and that was why they were able to lift the World Cup the last time, they were not able to lift the World Cup this year because they were not good enough to defeat Spain.
