That's true, if the both teams draws and they see that there is no chance for them to score, they will start playing defense just to sustain that draw, since no team is ready to give up or wants to be the losing one, that is why there chances of one placing bet in such case is very difficult because there are every chances that they will lose their bets, expect they are lucky. There's no safe bets even the odds are quite low. I still trust the favorites if the odds are low and as long as I can take them. What matters to me is that I can afford that bet to lose and if I win, I won't be greedy but happy if ever I win it. Sometimes, I do avoid them when the odds are pretty low and that's only around 10% of what I can win but sometimes, it's also an acceptable odds to take when there's no other game that I like to bet. So it differs per game and my mind changes if ever I want to bet or if I don't want to.

If the odds are low and the "favorite" lose, a single wrong bet can invalidate 10 or even more correct bets.

When you bet, you need to check if there are a value opportunity, if there no point to bet on a obvius' result if the financial return is very low... it is much more worthwhile to bet on an bet that you believe is likely and has a better return, because when you win that bet, it will be worth 3 or 5 bets placed on the "favorites".

Sometimes, in these very obvious math, I bet small amounts on the underdog, because if something goes wrong, the reward for it is usually very significant.

There are no safe bets, so if you trust in some bet, you are delusional. We had many similar topics about how confident you are in your bets.
