Sometime ago, when I knew very little about gambling, someone introduced slot games to me. On my first trial, I won. Unfortunately, I got too excited and decided to play more to make more profit. I lost; yes, I lost even the money I had won earlier. I got uneasy and angry with myself and made a decision never to play the game again.
Welcome to the world of gambling when you will be allowed to make small wins that will increase your confidence to think that you can make more money when you gamble more for you to lose everything you have won and even lose more money.
Slot games can be very tempting ans if you aren't contented with the little you have won, you could bet more and lose everything you have.

I think some gamblers have experienced this before. You win first, maybe a decent amount, then instead of stopping you continue playing because you feel the momentum is still there. Then slowly the profit goes down. You tell yourself just one more round, one more bet, maybe you can bring it back higher again. But in the end, you either leave with very small profit or nothing at all.

That feeling is strange because technically you had a chance to go home winning, but because you did not stop, it still feels like a loss.

Has this happened to you before? What made you continue instead of taking the profit?
This experience is always very common when a gambler hits a jackpot early after he/she just entered the casino to gamble, and sometimes, that feeling of maybe "it's my lucky day" is usually what prompt people into wanting to gamble more, while having the mindset that just as they just hit the jackpot early, if they continue they might win multiple times, while forgetting the fact that the probability of you hitting a jackpot again after a subsequent time is always low. Because if this jackpot were to come either middle of the gambling or towards the end as the gambler is about to exhaust all his balance, he probably would have cherished it more.

Sometimes the feeling of losing a big profit hurts more than actually losing your stake. You win a good amount, but greed tells you to keep going because you think another win is around the corner. Before you know it, most or all of the profit is gone. That is why people say knowing when to stop is one of the hardest parts of gambling. Some gamblers don't leave because they are winning, they leave because there is nothing left to play with.

Although I have never felt this way before, but I have seen a situation where a gambler was complaining about how he has been losing from gambling, but when I Looked at his phone I saw a wining ticket and I'm sure he had the wining that very day. So I was wondering why he was still complaining, but I realized that the reason why he felt like he lost is because the amount of money he has Lost so far in gamble can't be compared with that amount he had. I think this is the more reason why most folks don't celebrate Thier wining Even though they are going to celebrate it but they will just make it brief.

That's the point of winning the jackpot, all eyes goes there, it's one win that feels like winning, other kind of winning also comes with a blame, I would have gone big in this wager, had I known it'll hit a win, but when the jackpot arrives, it covers for all the previous losses a player has accumulated, which is the only time a gambler would win and wouldn't feel like they've lost.

Inasmuch as you didn't recover the amount that you lost already, any winning below your losses will feel like a loss to you. This is why it is not good to continue gambling after a big win because you will lose almost all the money you have won if not almost everything. The problem with trying to chase more after a huge win is that you will become so confident that you won't even care to analyze your bets thoroughly before staking which often leads to losses and the more you try to recover a loss, the more you lose further. When you continue after a huge win, you see every bets as sure and it will be as if you have been blinded by the winning the hard because it will be a morale for you to gamble more.

Has this happened to you before? What made you continue instead of taking the profit?
This happens often to gamblers where most gamblers end up going home with nothing or with a small thing simply because they refused to be contented with the profit they initially made from gambling. Players should always know when to walk away, especially when loses start occurring nonstop.

Some players do confuse luck with skill, they jump to the conclusion that they are winning because they understand the game at that moment, even if you feel that way while gambling still play with caution because anything can happen.

It's hurting when someone is in that situation when they are careless and losses more.

Instead of keeping the profits that they have won, they're losing it again and then possibly of losing more.

And that's why when I won, I am going to think of how much I am okay to keep for the whole day that won't matter to me if I lose again.

This is what gamblers need to do when they won so much money, not to gamble everything away and let the house win it over again.

It's part of a game, and the uncertainty of it, your only consolation is that at least you win and are able to withdraw, even if it's a small amount.
We have to live with that instead of asking, "What if I continue playing and win more?" In gambling, anything really goes. This is the reason why in gambling, you can't have everything or what you wish for; just be thankful for any winning that you are able to withdraw. Some gamblers do not have that chance.

[Edited out]
I would have gone big in this wager, had I known it'll hit a win, but when the jackpot arrives, it covers for all the previous losses a player has accumulated, which is the only time a gambler would win and wouldn't feel like they've lost.

Exactly, but the problem is you wouldn't know when the jackpot would come. And one thing about all this is, that very moment you are expecting a jackpot it doesn't come that moment, but when you take your minds off from anything jackpot that's when you would see it coming and that's when "had I know" usually comes. Of course this has happened to me several times, there was a time I was expecting jackpot this made me increase my stake but I couldn't hit the jackpot, it was when I stopped going big that I got lucky and that very day I didn't go big, it's funny how gamble works most time.

Unfortunately, I still experienced this until now. There are really times that I seem to be overconfident and just keep on betting, believing that what I had won will be double or triple after constant betting. But after several minutes, I ended up slowly returning the profits to the casino, which made me more unstoppable this time while chasing the losses, until I realized I had already lost everything all those profits I once have.

It hit me hard actually. I should have leave the casino immediately and withdraw the funds. But greed will definitely lead you into something that you will surely regret after. That 's why its best to just withdraw immediately the winning funds before greed takes in and cost all your bankroll.

Oops it has happen to me several times that I will win a bet but it will be like I lost, how it happened was that I place a bet on 600 accumulated odd. the game was playing very well that I had a decent cashout offer but I never took it, I as look at the full potential win because I needed it badly to cover some loses in the pass. After a while the cash out started dropping fringes offer I had of 57k came down to 16k, I was a bit frustrated because it was looking like I’m losing it again. After a few minutes I took tha cashout of 14k though i staked only  5h do you believe after I cashed out the 14k the game played and u was supposed to win 720k in full if I had not pressed the cash out, that veryday i would have won 720k but I enter up winning only 14k out of fear i won that day but it felt like a lost.

Your winnings will feel like loses when you have experience losing trend for aprolonged period of time but, in the end what is important is that we must make out time to always celebrate whatever amount of winning that we record since that is the biggest motivation in gambling.

In my case, no, because I don't put emotions into my bets. Even when I lose consecutively, it doesn't shake me, it doesn't make me chase losses. So when I win a bet, I celebrate and don't feel like I won little and that I needed to win more. I see that victory as something to be grateful for and as a reward for the great effort I made when analyzing the games. Honestly, I've seen many people cry because they lost a bet, and my thought was, why don't they give up? Putting too much emotion into gambling is not a good thing.

What exactly are you saying? Having a chance at winning is not the same as actually winning, if you won while playing a game and later lost it all because you continued playing, you still didn't win, so you are supposed to feel like you lost because you actually lost, you didn't win..

Outcomes in gambling is not based on what happens or happened during the game but what you ended the game with, if you ended the game with a win, then you won, but if you ended the game with a loss, then it's a lose and this does not matter if you had a winning chance in the middle of the game.
Because what I myself mostly do is when I am gambling and luck smiles on me and I won a good amount, even though I still feel like gambling some more, I might decide to quit gambling at that moment simply to secure that win, this is the same as cashing out in sports betting.

This kind of situation is usually caused by overconfidence and greed. After few wins, someone will start feeling like they don't  understanding the game or there is still luck, so it turn out to be difficult to stop playing. The funny thing is that taking profits requires self discipline same as the same as winning. So you see alot of gamblers do not really lose because they can't win, but dey do lose because they don't know when you say to themselves that it's enough or they should go fit a break

gambling will not reck a person when person gamble and don't start to be greedy when they start to be winning. Walking away dosen't mean that the gambler is dumb, it only means that the person actually understands gambling. Rather than loosing all, it is better that person secure their profit and walk away so they can have some to keep and some to spare next time to gamble.

Aggressive gambling without stopping is very risky a if care isn't taken,it can make person to begin to loose and give back all their winnings back to the casino.

Gambling isn't a sure way to make money , gamblers have to know this so that they would be able to know the importance of stopping when they are able to have secured few wins

Most of those who lose from gambling are not actually those who consistently lose from the beginning. Some of them are winning at first, even winning a decent amount, but because of greed, it's hard to be contented and leave the casino immediately after a big win. So they resort on betting more and betting higher and expect bigger wins, but in the end its the opposite that happens.

So with this, the gambler is not really winning, but he's bound to lose everything he had previously won. That's how the strategy of every casino works.

A lot of times really, because instead of leaving the site, I chose to stay longer and continue betting. In the end, I turned my profits into instant losses.

But if you really have that strong will not to pursue betting, you will never leave the gambling site still at loss. You have won already which is everyone's goal, so why stay more and bet more? That only means you will allow yourself to lose all your profits to the casino, which eventually happened after pushing yourself to keep betting.

That's the effect of dopamine combined with a surge of adrenaline, which makes gamblers feel confident enough to keep playing. It can also be described as a state of euphoria, where a gambler believes they're having a lucky day and starts thinking they can win even more. This kind of situation is very common, and most gamblers have experienced it at some point. I've experienced it myself in the past. There's usually nothing that can stop it unless the person truly values their winnings and decides to walk away, even if they're still feeling unsatisfied and tempted to keep betting.

The term gambling opens to possible losses or wins, so maybe this motivates me to keep betting even after winning. I know a lot here does the same way, but in the end, we only gained one thing, LOSSES. And after those losing scenario, we still lose more when we chose to repeat the same mistake we have done at first. So there's no ending, unless we decide to change our mindset towards winning in gambling.

However, there are also those who experienced once and learned from it after. I have to say, they are smart enough to stick with that kind of decision.
