Sometimes people need to lose or fail to get experience or learn. Some really need it have bad way to become better. In gambling this works also, but this is very situational. I do believe that gambler need to lose to learn discipline or to understand value of money. It's because who doesn't want to feel that win? It's just a normal human behaviour to go and chase for more wins as much as we can. But the thing is that we don't look at our losses, all we remember is our big win. But if someone will have to account for everything, it might be that we are still in the negative side of it?
