In your opinion what is the best world cup bet? And who is your favorite team?

The host country usually have some level of advantage to win so I hope the USA uses the advantage if not they are not going anywhere close to the cup, I want to see France win again I don’t care what others opinion is but I want to see some other few underdogs or not really rated country to win like Curaçao which is not a very big country, an island no one will be expecting to see such possible outcome but I wish them because that island needs to be seen celebrating again, just the mere fact they joined the World Cup made the whole island jubilate like no other imagine them winning.

I love this topic because it will show where everyone stands. I personally am rooting for the USA because I live in the USA and I am loyal to my country, especially when I am mostly just interested in winning for that reason alone and im not the biggest futbol fan. I did love playing recreationally. I also loved hearing my fellow coworker who is Haitian describing his unforgettable experience at a qualifier match. What he described was his whole country because the majority in the stands was Haitian in complete unity in joy! He described being in tears at the sight of his grandmother being the happiest he had ever seen her and was so filled with joy that he went. Can you describe anything more wholesome? It makes me want to bet on Haiti! I was personally proud to hear that the USA made their greatest performance in a long long time or maybe ever in a match at the very beginning.

This is the kind of bet that a few people makes, especially so far in advance, and why? I have a few reasons...

First because at the last Fifa's World Cup tournament, several teams that were considered "favorite" did not even make it past of first round, and in this edition I am seeing some European teams drawing with others that were previously considered "weak"... than I believe we will have some surprises in this championship again.
Second... because we usually root for our favorite teams, for our countries, and this is exactly what you did: The USA has never win this championship and probably would not win this year, but even so, you believe and bet in them.

I also believe and root for Brazil even knowing that they are going through a bad phase, but I would bet in them to be champion... however, I would not do that because I prefer just cheer.

I will wait for the championship to move towards the next phase to answer the OP's question.

The current World Cup match results are full of surprises. Even bettors playing with the best odds have seen their chances of winning drop considerably. I'm watching the matches, but because of the recent games, I'm having a hard time predicting who will win. My favorite team, Türkiye, has had a bad start, but I think they can still get out of their group.

I am not sure if I would call it to be my personal "best bet", but I have a hunch Argentina or Brazil are going to take the trophy this year back to south America. Perhaps, it is because people from Venezuela usually like to support south American teams when we don't qualify for the world cup.

Spain seems to be the favorite for the World cup, but I don't see why, it is not as if the Spanish selection had something special or something which made them different on this world cup when compared to previous tournaments. In my opinion, the capacity of Spain is being over-estimated by the general market.

When comes to Cape Verde and Curaçao, I don't have any expectations on them to get the world cup for their respective countries, they are just too new and lacking of experience within the highest leagues of football.

The world of soccer betting is indeed full of uncertainty, making every match so exciting. Losses by popular team are actually normal event and provide taste to big tournaments. Turkey lost the game early on, but has not been ruled out. It is far better watch the game as entertainment in it is purest form rather than make guesses at something we know would have been totally random, and that could lead us to disappointment.

This is going to be too biased because most are just going to talk about their favourite country to win and the truth is that I'm going to do the same as well.
My best world cup bet would be that Portugal would win the finals, its a big risk game since it's basically next to impossible to see who's going to be in the finals right now but i want Portugal to win so if I'm going to call any bet the best it would be Portugal winning the finals.
It's time for CR7 to finally bring it home (even though I'm not from Portugal).

Am really rooting for Portugal to win this, coz this would balance the scale and finally end the GOAT debate...But from what I saw in the international friendly with Nigeria, I couldn't but help to think that Ronaldo has become very slow and has also lost his touch... I told a friend of mine this during one of our discussions on the possible winners of the World Cup, but the response my friend gave me was that Ronaldo hasn't lost his touch, that he deliberately didn't really put much effort coz the match wasn't a major match and so Ronaldo didn't have anything at stake...I don't know how true this is sha o...

The best team in the World Cup is the one that wins you a bet, and that best team changes as the tournament progresses. 

Today, several of my favorite World Cup teams lost or drew, including Spain, Uruguay, Belgium,  etc. For me, the best teams in the World Cup start tomorrow with France, Argentina, and Norway. I really like Norway.

In any case, we always have our favorite team in any World Cup, but if your country qualifies, that's your favorite team. If your country doesn't qualify, it can be any team you simply like; there's no rocket science to it.
