I totally disagree that just only $10,000 investment in real estate would have generated you six figures just as Bitcoin would have done while starting from the scratch. Because even in the next 5 decades (i.e 50years), only $10,000 could not have been able to generate you six figures by just building a house and renting it out monthly or yearly. Because I'm even 100% that that $10,000 would not have been enough to buy land in a very good location in the city. An then talk more of buying an average bungalow which might cost additional $15,000 to $30,000 to be able to build the house to a good taste. So in total, both buying the land and building the house would have cost you over $40,000. So imagine placing the house on a $10,000 yearly rent.  That means in a decade you would have generated a profit of $100,000.. Whereas a $10,000 in Bitcoin would have generated you seven figures.

I have been in bitcoin for well over 10 years, I think the exact number could be 13 years or so, not sure. Why am I saying this? Because even I would prefer a real estate depending on the purchasing price and the income from it. Of course that doesn't mean that I would just buy anything if I can, it has to be whatever property, land, farm, house, apartment, shop, doesn't matter, it has to be something that is cheaper than it should be for me to buy.

So if the value of it is lets say 100k, and the owner is in urgent need so selling for 80k and I do have 80k, or I can just pay some of it and rest is mortgage, then yeah I would love to buy it. Real estate is always the best if you can get a good deal.

But the reason why Bitcoin is still preferred is that in terms of investment Bitcoin is something that one can comfortably invest even with little capital. I agree with your opinion, people should not get themselves under too much stress in the quest of trying invest in something which they clearly can not afford, like you rightly said, it's best for the person to start their investment journey or adventure in that which they can conveniently afford to invest in.

Talking about people taking loans to invest in real estate since this type of investment is capital intensive, I would say that this is more risky than investing in bitcoin because as some of us with experience know, real estate is also not a type of investment one would just jump into because they have the capital for it, there is a lot of learn and a kind of people to connect with before venturing into this type of investment, this is one that requires a proper home work done before venturing into it because any error could lead to loss of property and the money spent on acquiring it.

Speaking from my own personal opinion and what I feel is the best. Hopefully others can see through my point. Yes no doubt, both bitcoin and real estate are good investments and have in the last decades help so many people built wealth. For me I’ll go for bitcoin. Reason being that bitcoin doesn’t require maintenance and sometimes doesn’t have to drain one’s strength out while trying to set it up. And it requires 80 percent knowledge of the business before venturing into it. Meaning it as you progress in the business you get more knowledge and and aside the fear of bitcoin rate dropping. You feel relax that you funds can be generating lots of profit while not working. But when it comes to real estate, you have to work your ass out before the leveraging system can start working for you

One thing I could say that real estate is at advantage of is when it comes to inheriting it. You can really guarantee say for bitcoin. Next of kin can easily inherit an already established real estate business without having much knowledge of it. But one can’t inherit a bitcoin investment and know have knowledge of it and how it works. Else such person stand the chance of losing their inherited bitcoin

You are right that anyone can start investing in Bitcoin with $5, $10 or $50. Buying a property usually requires a large capital and its maintenance is also high. There is even  tax cost from the government. though it has its advantages, especially if you rent it out, some income is generated from it and it can be used for living but  the process of maintaining it is complicated in some cases. If the location is bad, then its value may decrease. If you suddenly need money, it is not possible to sell some % of the property . If you think about it from this point of view, Bitcoin has a lot of advantages. But since the two assets are different in terms of characteristics, I am not going to compare them. A person will invest wherever he wants according to his convenience and adjustment. If a person can just avoid the price volatility of Bitcoin in the short term and invest for the long term, then his chances of creating a good position in the future will increase.

That is one of the things a house owner needs to do, we have to keep it well through renovations and maintenance. There are a lot of wear and tear for its parts and needed to be repaired eventually. They say that when you have a rental income from a unit, you are earning passively. That's wrong because you need to be active in running the business and needs to cater if the tenants have some issues being told to you. I'll have still it and at the same time, I don't have to sacrifice bitcoin from it. A part of rental income can go to bitcoin.

Not all real estate needs you to wait for a long time before you can start making profits, there are some that you can buy services apartments and begin to make money as people rent your apartment for vacations and other reasons. You can also buy and rent out houses or lands and make profits. Other times you can buy and flip properties and also make lots of  profits but for Bitcoin, you have to buy and hold for bigger profits.

The strategy for investing in Bitcoin can be boring but it will make you bigger profits if you can be have patience enough for Bitcoin to grow in price. You can also invest in real estate like this and make money too and that is why both types of investment is good. I ask a question here If a young investor has a limited  money and it will take nearly all of his savings to acquire a property, however he can slowly save up Bitcoin from his earnings, is it really a far better financial choice to just select real estate first simply due to  it is a more familiar investment?

Your link doesn't work. Hard to say, but real estate knew a huge boom because of 2008 economic crises and negative interest rate. This time is over now. People will always need to get a roof on their head so I think real estate will be always a smart investment but we have to do idt properly. the past decade was easy money but this time is over.

For Bitcoin, for now we always have cycle, futur will tell now if it is still a good investment
