Religion was meant to unite group of person to have one belief and common interest in the way of life. But instead it is creating diversity, war, lack of unity in the society. Individuals choosing their religion over the others. Seeing one religion to have more hierarchy over the other.

Religion is one of the reason why some countries are still backward, let me use Nigeria to site example. When I say that Nigeria was supposed to be one of the most developed countries in Africa and in the world at large I know what I am saying.

Nigeria is stagnant today because of the so called religion, now take a look at present government they are causing more harm than good to the country yet large number of Nigerians who are Muslim are still willing and ready to vote President tinubu in the coming 2027 election because he's a Muslim.

Another thing that keep a country stagnant is tribalism, and tribalism is another reason why Nigeria is still the way it is. I will use present tinubu to site example, the Yoruba people have seen that this man called tinubu has no vision for Nigeria and he doesn't have the capacity and the ability to rule Nigeria as a president, yet his tribe the Yoruba people still stood firm by him and  ready and willing to vote him again in the coming election.

The right religion is why some countries get ahead. Consider the former Christian religion of the USA, which is changing, and so the US is becoming weaker.

Depends on what one's religion preaches. If it preaches war then yes it is a cursed blessing. But if it preaches peace like Jesus did, in my opinion that's not a bad thing.

Depends on what one's religion preaches. If it preaches war then yes it is a cursed blessing. But if it preaches peace like Jesus did, in my opinion that's not a bad thing.

Yes. Jesus's true peace was peace between people and God, first, above everything else. Then it is peace between people and peoples. This can only be accomplished by making total war against Satan, so it looks like war and not peace sometimes.

However, as Jesus died on the cross, He said, "It is finished." He meant that the war against Satan was won. He won it by not bowing to any of Satan's temptations.

We don't understand, because we are so physically minded, that we don't realize that the whole universe is first a spiritual, moral operation before it is physical. And, we don't realize that God fills the whole universe. He says in the Old Testament, "Do I not fill heaven and earth," says the Lord? In the N.T., in Ephesians it is said about Jesus, that He arose "higher than the heavens, to fill the whole universe."

The reason we see wars, yet, is that God has prepared a certain number of souls to fill a certain number of people. God is giving these souls a chance to live, by allowing new people to be born, so they might find faith in Jesus and be saved. It sounds a bit strange to us, but God is the Ruler, and He is righteous in all He does. At the right time, God will send Jesus back... at the last day.

Whoever believes in Jesus salvation will be saved for eternal life. This believing is only secure in those who hear about Jesus, have faith in Him, and confess Him with their mouth.

The more this conversation gets deeper the more I get confused on some clear words mentioned in our religious reference point which is the bible. Judging from the works jesus while on earth, it will be seen that  it was clearly based on salvation and when he also died that translation it is finished also means he has completed his works of salvation and not that he has won the devil. Which was why the same Bible book of Philippians 2: 12 said therefore my friends as you have obeyed me in my presence, now much more in my absence continue to work out your salvation in fear and trembling. From here and other verses in the bible it clearly talked about salvation and not devil so we should be mindful on the message we pass across.
Not that he never talked about defeating the devil in other verses but this specific one is far from that

Jesus also said that whoever sins is a slave to sin. It is sinning that Satan is attempting to get everyone to do. So, when Jesus conquered sin by dying without having sinned, He conquered not only sin, but also the essence of the devil.

The Revelation mentions 'Abaddon' and 'Apollyon'. These words mean destroyer. They refer to Satan and his works. Satan and his works were conquered by Jesus as shown in the Revelation, by the Angel who chained Satan and threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him for a thousand years.

The Abyss is the grave. The angel who chained Satan is Jesus. A thousand years means a long time... not 1000 years like so many have said. Satan is the destroyer, who tries to destroy God's creation, mankind, through enticing people to sin.The whole salvation was about destroying Satan and his evil, destructive works. Satan had wanted to be like God. But he couldn't without creating something. Since God created everything already, there was only one thing left that Satan could create... DESTRUCTION.

Then Jesus used Satan's creation better than Satan ever could, and destroyed both Satan and destruction. Because of the depth that everything in the universe really has, it took Jesus's death and resurrection to do this destruction of Satan and Satan's destruction.

Even though the manifestation of restoring everything has not been completed (because God is merciful to unborn souls), it is a fact that will be started in manifestation on the last day, at the resurrection of everyone from the dead. It really is started, already, with the miracles that the Holy Spirit lets people do right now.

Religion is like a two edged sword

When I was a child, I witnessed how religion helped me and other children to grow in a mannered and cultured way. We did not belong to bad gangs, join cult groups, we do not drink alcohol or smoke. We were brought up in the fear and administration of the Lord using laid down principles from the scripture. So, I give Christianity a pass mark in raising decent children.

Now that I am grown, what I see is deciet by the pastors, converting their followers wealth through fake vision. I now see many Christians create their own god, worship him, make hard laws for themselves and judge themselves for sinning. Then pray for forgiveness to the unknown god, they get forgiveness and continue their sin.
