Quick update — still no answer from GhostSwap. They said they would review the documents, but it's been quiet since then.

I've also filed a complaint with the Hong Kong SFC regarding HitBTC's unlicensed activity (not sure if it will help, but I had to try).

If anyone has any other suggestions on what else I can do, I would be very grateful. Still waiting for a real resolution.

I'm not sure it will work. The main party responsible here is GhostSwap, which advertised itself as a non-KYC service on this forum. If they accepted the transaction and then required KYC afterward, it feels like a KYC trap.

GhostSwap keeps posting educational threads on X about privacy and non-custodial swaps. Meanwhile, my case is still unresolved.

I already posted on X and tagged them, asking for a public answer. No reply so far.

If anyone here has an X account and feels like asking them a polite question — like "on what basis are the funds being held?" — feel free. Maybe they'll answer publicly.

Just a thought. Would be interesting to see.

Still I expect ghostswap will solve this problem with their liquidity provider and release the funds.
How unfortunate. I expected you to use the same amount of energy you used while looking at other cases like this one
I mean, first of all, they lied about some things, and now the issue hasn't been resolved, has it?

You should leave a tag and support the flag. Show us that you are impartial  Grin

@examplens — thank you again for your support. I also posted a thread on X tagging the domain registrar @namesilo regarding ghostswap.io. Let's see if they respond.

P.S. If anyone has any other legal suggestions on where else I can file complaints, please let me know. I'm open to any advice.

namesilo won't do anything sadly. i have reported some scam phishing domains not long ago, and they told me it was a copyright issue, they are a joke.

P.S. If anyone has any other legal suggestions on where else I can file complaints, please let me know. I'm open to any advice.
not exactly what you are asking for, but see if you can get them blacklisted by metamask, you can ask for a blocklist addition here: https://github.com/MetaMask/eth-phishing-detect/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20label%3A%22blocklist%20addition%22
you can also report shostswap to google safe browsing: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/

maybe that will help motivate them a little bit.

GhostSwap has stopped responding completely.

They haven't read my Telegram messages for over a week. The last reply was on July 24: "we will review the documents." Since then — silence.

At the same time, they continue posting daily on X about privacy and non-custodial swaps. So they are active — they just choose not to engage with this case.

I have provided all documents, completed KYC, and waited over 2 months. No timeline, no explanation, no response.

If anyone has any suggestions on what to do next, I'm open to advice.

You should have checked the terms before using the website.
@Murat
Did you check the same terms before accepting to manage a campaign promoting Ghostswap as a privacy-first, no-KYC crypto exchange? If NO, then you have a problem. If YES, then you have two problems.
It's starting to make sense: Murat got paid by selective scammer "Ghostswap" to promote their website on Bitcointalk. Murat literally claimed that it's a "No-KYC Crypto Exchange", and now tells users they should have read the Terms so they could have known he's advertising a lie.
This explains why he removed me from his Trust list:
Quote
Trust list for: Murat (Trust: +12 / =3 / -0) (242 Merit earned) (Custom Trust list) (BPIP) (created 2026-07-25_Sat_05.18h)

Murat Trusts these users' judgement:
1. theymos (Trust: +28 / =0 / -0) (DT1! (62) 14706 Merit earned) (Custom Trust list) (BPIP)
2. OgNasty (Trust: +71 / =3 / -5) (DT1 (-10) 5420 Merit earned) (Custom Trust list) (BPIP)

Murat Distrusts these users' judgement:

2. ~bitbollo (Trust: +18 / =0 / -0) (DT1! (6) 3958 Merit earned) (Custom Trust list) (BPIP)

Unfortunately we are taking a break. You may remove your signatures.
@Murat: I guess you're hoping your earnings continue in the future.

Go to court
Against an anonymous scammer?
Let's check their website (I'm quoting different parts without giving them a backlink):
Quote
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which GhostSwap is established
If only they'd say which jurisdiction they're in....
Quote
GhostSwap is operated by GhostSwap
That doesn't really narrow it down....

I see that Murat connection with GhostSwap is making a comeback. So let me remind you of what I wrote about his connection with this scam much earlier in GhostSwap ANN thread:

I can't wait for this all to disappear  Grin Grin

Just want to tell you about some connection..

The account that made first test (review at the beginning of the thread with screenshot): Dextrust_Defi

Years ago, in 2020 had a project of DEX - ANN thread: DexTrust

It so happens that Murat also promoted it   Wink  Cool created ANN thread and for example this post: LINK

After two months, project disappeared... without a trace. Silence remained.

I haven't found anything wrong, so I'm just letting you know about this connections and coincidents. Maybe someone will want to dig a bit deeper..

Have fun Smiley

I see no one has dug deeper yet. I wonder what else is in there...  Roll Eyes

@OrangeFren , Could you please let me know—are you currently in contact with GS? GS hasn't responded for almost three weeks now—what's the status of their deposit with you?

Or maybe someone else is in touch with GS?

No activity recorded for GS since his last post in this thread. Orangefren and Murat are the ones eligible to interact with your case because both are in partnership with GS. While I believe in Orangefren integrity, I've lost all hopes that Murat isn't intentionally involved with GS scam exchange.

@Murat You deserve the negative trust.

@Murat , @OrangeFren , Are you here ?
I don't think they can help you much. Orangefren turned off Ghostswap from monitoring and that's probably the most they can do. Obviously, GS accepted the loss coming from that side, and OF cannot force them to do anything.
@murat is only a campaign manager and also probably has little influence on the business of a service he promotes. The fact that he did not more carefully check the accuracy of what he promoted is a completely different matter.

Unfortunately, it seems that here (as in many similar cases) you are alone in this struggle, and that is a general problem in such cases.

So what happens to the escrowed funds at Orangefren now that they can't help the victims of a service that falsely advertised itself as a no-KYC exchange?
They have delisted the service from the platform. Do they return the funds to the service and don't help the victim?
I see a loophole being exploited by other scammers right there.
