Under such conditions what will you do between selling your Bitcoin, borrowing money and selling other belongings etc.
I'm not going to borrow money if I have the resources ready to liquidate. Selling other belongings is going to be my first choice but then, if those things are important to me. I won't sell them. So ending up with the choice that we don't like to do is to sell bitcoin. But that's the key there, we held it for so long in the toughest moments where it can help us. And by selling it, that helps the situation and clears our problem and that's why if no emergency funds is there, I might end up with that choice. Having an emergency fund is an important decision that will save the assets that we have and not forced to sell.

As an investor it's advisable to keep emergency funds to ensure that your Bitcoin asset management is done to the utmost, however there could be circumstances that emergency funds won't or might not be enough to handle the matter at hand whether a mistake or totally unforseen and uncontrollable happening. A very debilitating situation that the thinking of selling Bitcoin holding is already part of the options.

If you have items that are not useful or not really needed then the first step is to sell it, because this can help comfortably without having to be pitied by others, Secondly if indeed such things do not exist, you can borrow but measure first with the income you can generate to pay, this is also important to note, and the three ways can guarantee your bitcoin if your investment position is in a state of loss but if your situation is in a state of profit then you can sell some of the bitcoin you have because the real world is much more important to maintain than just value but we are almost dead.

life comes ahead of any investment.
Truly life always comes before any investment. One thing I’ll like to add is that the decision also depends on whether the emergency is temporary or permanent. If it’s a short term cash flow problem and I have a stable income, I would rather borrow a reasonable amount than sell bitcoin at a bad time but if the emergency threatens my health, family or financial stability then selling part of my holding becomes the more rational choice. I also think this highlight why an emergency fund is not just about having money set aside but it is about buying yourself time. The more time you have, the less likely you are to make any investments decision under any pressure.

Personally, I always try to work as hard as possible, looking for ways to make money, so that if an unforeseen situation arises, I don't have to convert my BTC to dollars. Because there's nothing worse than that. If I've entered a trading position to buy BTC at precisely defined levels, I now have to wait until the end point, where I've planned to exit into fiat. And any interruption to such a position is incredibly bad. Because, as you understand, this always happens at low points in the price, and it turns out that even if you entered at the right moment, you could suffer losses due to force majeure.

This is all because you need to keep track of your expenses, which will clearly show how much surplus money you have each month. I often see people who don't even know how much they spend each month, and they're surprised to learn that the lion's share of their expenses is spent on trivial things. And when these people try to invest or put money aside, a month later they're using that same money for expenses, because in reality, they're spending as much as they earn. Or even more. And this kind of investing makes no sense at all, because investing implies holding a long-term position.

Well, Michael Saylor sells bitcoins in such a situation. And nothing, he feels great. But what to do in a situation where money is urgently needed? Of course, it's obvious to sell the most liquid quickly. After all, investments are not as important as, for example, health or something else vital, which is what the money was needed for.

Nobody prays for an unexpected emergency to occur, but if eventually it happens, I would not want to sell my Bitcoin, because my Bitcoin is my investment which I will not like to touch, unless is a life threatening issue. And also, I will not like to sell my property, because one thing my father had taught me is that, no matter what happened a man should never sell his property. What I will do is, if eventually my emergency fund is not enough is that, I will borrow money to settle it, and than I will start saving money to repay my depth.

Borrowing money instead of selling your asset is also a solution. This is an even better option if you are confident you can repay the debt and the market is down. However, I think the idea of never selling your asset no matter what happens is a bit extreme. What is the point of investing if your asset cannot help you when you actually need them? Bitcoin, like any other asset is just money. Money is meant to serve our lives, not the other way around.

Keeping track of expenses is one way that can be done with the aim of good money management or good money management, and this is not easy to do because only people who are really consistent or disciplined can do it most of them spend money without considering it first although on the one hand this does not affect their finances greatly but this will be a bad enough habit in money management that may even be difficult to change. In this case money management is important, we will do any investment including expenses and it can be done if there is good management.

As long as you have the cash flow and source for the payment then that should be fine. This is what the rich does, they borrow money and they pay it with their sources of income and that seems to be an advance money for them but on top of some interest for the payment. However, I think the idea of never selling your asset no matter what happens is a bit extreme.
We will all come up to that point that we'll have to sell some of our assets in order for us to profit in it and to have it enjoyed. The never selling idea is embedded from the holders but soon, all of them will realize that at some point of their lives. The time of selling is going to come whether they like it or not as long as the situation permits.

If someone has a plan to invest and if they plan to hold that investment for a long time, then they should definitely keep an emergency fund as a backup for this holding. An emergency fund may be needed at a time when you do not have enough money in hand, then you can get rid of your current danger by taking money from the emergency fund. And if you do not have an emergency fund, then you will definitely have to sell the investment you have made at an untimely time and you will have to face the current situation again from this sold money. That is, those are the wise ones who keep an adequate amount of emergency fund as a backup after investing.

Any investor without an active emergency fund, is literally like someone who is standing on one foot, regardless of how huge their portfolio is. It's true that one may not necessarily need to keep or build an emergency fund before they can start their accumulation journey, but one should never forget about how crucial it is, and so should also consider building their emergency funds and their stash simultaneously, as this helps to fortify the investment.

There's always room for replacement so I'm selling my Bitcoin but not all though, I have always thought about this "what if" situation and I have already made up my mind to sell but I might also consider the two other options available. Since I already have Bitcoin waiting to be sold at the right if I borrow I can always pay back and if I sell my belongings I can always buy it back when I sell my Bitcoin so all three options are not bad to me, after all the reason why I'm investing in Bitcoin in the first place is to make things easier for me.

The question is strange though, emergency funds is an alternative which we all agree to a certain extend because the funds depends entirely on an investor level. If anyone is finding it difficult to keep up with their emergency funds in terms of needing helping hand and it has to do with selling their bitcoin either borrowing money or selling their property then such person is probably buying much bitcoin than their financial ability can handle which is not advisable, a proper plan alongside management will never land an investor in such difficult situation, it’s never how much the emergency funds cost instead how far is our management plan going to sustain us.

I agree that there's a need for backup when we're holding. We see the tendency of selling what we hold and that's not good for long term holders. That's when the emergency funds gets in and we need to have it regardless of what the plan is because it's not only for investing. But that's preparing for something unexpected to come. And so, if we're going to have an emergency fund then we are responsible to that action and we're looking forward that we will be stable in what we hold and what we're investing with our money.

If it comes to the point in life where you don't have an option and your bitcoins are the last choice, would you choose to look away? It is better to be realistic to ourselves and in times of desperation, the choice we have to make might be difficult but it would be better. More reasons you need not depend only on your investment profits. You need have a good job or something that's consistent with your money flow. Before even having a backup for your emergency funds, you should make sure you have a good steady source of income because everything will be a waste of you still end up eating your investment.

It depends on the situation and what the matter at hand is and how much is involved. If I can get the loan interest-free, how long can I raise the money to pay it back? I have backup plans; all this will be considered while making the decision. If I can get the money without needing to add interest, in some cases I will prefer to use that option, as it’s easier to repay than to replace sold assets, but instead of taking an interest loan, I will rather sell off some of my holdings and settle that problem first before thinking of how to replace them.

I frequently advice that while building emergency fund along side your bitcoin portfolio, you need to ensure that 70% of your discretionary income goes into your emergency fund while the remaining 30% of your discretionary income should be used to purchase bitcoin. With this method I'm sure a person can be able to grow/ build thier emergency fund to a standard level where they will feel like what they have in their emergency fund might be enough to solve any impending emergency that might come up in the future. But since we don't know how big an emergency can be, I would suggest that even though we figure out that we have had enough emergency fund, we should keep increasing it for the safety of our investment.

An emergency cannot be ignored or foreseen; therefore, if I needed to liquidate my investments, whether in stocks or cryptocurrency, I wouldn't think twice. However, if it were possible to secure a loan where the returns on my investments covered both the principal and interest payments, that would be the better option.

If you cannot borrow or wait for your next paycheck to come you might as well sell your coins because that's the only option you have at that time. Although a lot of people feel like selling even a little token from their Investment feels like they are slowing their progress down, well that's true but there's nothing that you can do when you are out of money and you are not expecting if from anywhere, you just have to sell a small portion of your Bitcoin for you to use to sort yourself out.
