Hi,

Our Ethereum I account was banned and our posts were deleted because some users suspected the project of malware and phishing:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5586698.0

I would like to respond to that thread and explain why these accusations are incorrect. I also hope to have our account unbanned and our ANN thread restored to the Bitcointalk Altcoins section.

Quote
They only provide an unknown EVM network added to users’ wallets. Connecting a wallet to an RPC controlled by this new project poses a security risk, as it could be used for phishing and lead to the theft of wallet assets.

First of all, our website does not ask users to enter their seed phrases or any personal information. It only optionally offers to add our network to a wallet via the wallet connection feature. It never asks users to sign any transactions. Furthermore, the RPC can be added manually without connecting a wallet at all.

If someone is still concerned, they can use an empty wallet. Many legitimate blockchain projects provide custom RPC networks. Why should this be considered a problem in our case?

Quote
Additional Notes: Also, when examining their explorer (explorer.ethereum-2.org), it is not a real blockchain but just a template. By searching for a transaction or any wallet address in a real blockchain explorer like Etherscan and blockscout.com, no results are shown.

This is because Ethereum I is a separate blockchain and has no connection to Ethereum. Naturally, Ethereum transactions will not appear in our explorer, just as they would not appear on BNB Chain or any other independent blockchain.

Response to the comments:

No, we are not scammers. We experienced branding issues because another project was using a similar name, so we decided to rebrand. Unfortunately, our account and posts were removed without any warning or explanation. Since we had no way of knowing how to resolve the issue, we proceeded with the rebrand and created a new account.

Again, we are building our own blockchain, our own products, and our own community. We have no connection with Ethereum or any other blockchain project, nor are we attempting to infringe on anyone's intellectual property.

Breh, why are you so admant on making your ann here? Just go somewhere else, this is not the place it used to be for altcoin projects; you'll be losing nothing by NOT making your ann here.

But...But... Why "ethereum" ? Be it Ethereum I or Ethereum II.

If I want to build something unique that will stand the test of time, I shouldn't be naming my network or project Solana 2.

Even when you had conflict in branding with another project, you decided to rebrand with the same name. Why can't your project proceed without the name "Ethereum"?

Are you in any way trying to steal reputation from Etheruem?

Ethereum 1 or Ethereum II or whatever the hell the Roman numerals are is dangerous. Why would you try to impersonate another project? Why don't you create your own unique project?
Look at your domain names for example

Are you allergic to being original?
Here is another domain name
Code:
https://ethereum1.org/

Same website design as the other one. Looks like we are going to have many more domains coming up. But the good thing is that we now very well know that the intentions are totally malicious.

This is a classic affinity scam. You are using Ethereum's brand as the centerpiece of your project. It would be nothing without it. BTW there is already an "Ethereum 1", it is called Eth Classic. You must have heard about it by now.

Usually threads are deleted only if they have confirmed malware links in them, but I personally don't have a problem with projects like this being banned as well.

Responding to all the comments. There were Bitcoin II, Bitcoin III, Litecoin II, Bitcoin cash II, Dogecoin II, nobody of them got deleted. Many projects containing Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency in their name. Our branding issue wasnt with Ethereum but another project.

We are not telling people that we are real ethereum that is trading on exchanges at 1.7k, NEVER. There are no name scam as the name, ticker and logo are clearly different.  We are building own ecosystem, not only using the name to centerpiece.

Our posts were deleted because of malware and phishing warning, and I explained that it is not dangerous.

The forum isn't really banning your account due to scam attempts, because the forum doesn't control the scams to avoid moderation abuse. So they didn't remove your thread for scams; rather, users found your website links suspicious, including malware or phishing links. Creating your own project itself isn't a problem anyway; your shared links should be clean. A lot of shit projects are launching on the forum that haven't been deleted by the forum. You may try again with a clean link; either change the domain name or remove all the suspicious links from the website.
