Hi, Our Ethereum I account was banned and our posts were deleted because some users suspected the project of malware and phishing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5586698.0I would like to respond to that thread and explain why these accusations are incorrect. I also hope to have our account unbanned and our ANN thread restored to the Bitcointalk Altcoins section. They only provide an unknown EVM network added to users’ wallets. Connecting a wallet to an RPC controlled by this new project poses a security risk, as it could be used for phishing and lead to the theft of wallet assets.
First of all, our website does not ask users to enter their seed phrases or any personal information. It only optionally offers to add our network to a wallet via the wallet connection feature. It never asks users to sign any transactions. Furthermore, the RPC can be added manually without connecting a wallet at all. If someone is still concerned, they can use an empty wallet. Many legitimate blockchain projects provide custom RPC networks. Why should this be considered a problem in our case? Additional Notes: Also, when examining their explorer (explorer.ethereum-2.org), it is not a real blockchain but just a template. By searching for a transaction or any wallet address in a real blockchain explorer like Etherscan and blockscout.com, no results are shown.
This is because Ethereum I is a separate blockchain and has no connection to Ethereum. Naturally, Ethereum transactions will not appear in our explorer, just as they would not appear on BNB Chain or any other independent blockchain. Response to the comments: No, we are not scammers. We experienced branding issues because another project was using a similar name, so we decided to rebrand. Unfortunately, our account and posts were removed without any warning or explanation. Since we had no way of knowing how to resolve the issue, we proceeded with the rebrand and created a new account. Again, we are building our own blockchain, our own products, and our own community. We have no connection with Ethereum or any other blockchain project, nor are we attempting to infringe on anyone's intellectual property. Breh, why are you so admant on making your ann here? Just go somewhere else, this is not the place it used to be for altcoin projects; you'll be losing nothing by NOT making your ann here.

If someone just doesnt want it to appear here so we have to move, despite we are not breaking any rules?

But...But... Why "ethereum" ? Be it Ethereum I or Ethereum II.
If I want to build something unique that will stand the test of time, I shouldn't be naming my network or project Solana 2.
Even when you had conflict in branding with another project, you decided to rebrand with the same name. Why can't your project proceed without the name "Ethereum"?
Are you in any way trying to steal reputation from Etheruem?

Ethereum 1 or Ethereum II or whatever the hell the Roman numerals are is dangerous. Why would you try to impersonate another project? Why don't you create your own unique project? Look at your domain names for example Are you allergic to being original? Here is another domain name Same website design as the other one. Looks like we are going to have many more domains coming up. But the good thing is that we now very well know that the intentions are totally malicious.

This is a classic affinity scam. You are using Ethereum's brand as the centerpiece of your project. It would be nothing without it. BTW there is already an "Ethereum 1", it is called Eth Classic. You must have heard about it by now.
Usually threads are deleted only if they have confirmed malware links in them, but I personally don't have a problem with projects like this being banned as well.

Responding to all the comments. There were Bitcoin II, Bitcoin III, Litecoin II, Bitcoin cash II, Dogecoin II, nobody of them got deleted. Many projects containing Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency in their name. Our branding issue wasnt with Ethereum but another project. We are not telling people that we are real ethereum that is trading on exchanges at 1.7k, NEVER. There are no name scam as the name, ticker and logo are clearly different. We are building own ecosystem, not only using the name to centerpiece.
Our posts were deleted because of malware and phishing warning, and I explained that it is not dangerous.

The forum isn't really banning your account due to scam attempts, because the forum doesn't control the scams to avoid moderation abuse. So they didn't remove your thread for scams; rather, users found your website links suspicious, including malware or phishing links. Creating your own project itself isn't a problem anyway; your shared links should be clean. A lot of shit projects are launching on the forum that haven't been deleted by the forum. You may try again with a clean link; either change the domain name or remove all the suspicious links from the website.

Firstly we were getting banned without explanation, but then I was asking from my personal account (this one) and got banned for 7 days, and Theymos explained me the reason for our project. I waited 7 days and now trying to explain its not malware, phishing. I understand that there are a lot of scams and shitty projects, but judging it by the name is like judging book by the cover. Especially when the project is fully fair launch, without premine, ico, dev fund or hidden mining.

You got explanation already and you disagreed with that. Why don't you think of other names for your project, and avoid using things like Ethereum 1, Ethereum 2, Ethereum x figure? Such names don't make your project better, but worse and looks more like a scam project. It's with the assumption that your project and wallet file does not contain any malwares but who knows?

there was an exchange in the past that used a similar tatics once there was a new ICO, they offered in their website a fake coin with the same ticker completely useless since was just possible to trade ... negative... everyone trying to dump after buying it. this project of OP, with this name could appear the same as the real one. It could be seen as a direct scam to users that are not confident with cryptocurrencies too. There is no interest for a reputable brand to copy the entire name! you are not forking or copying nothing, just trying to use their name to promote your.

The most of altcoins were created to improve bitcoin, or something else, comparing themselves and using the name. Ticker is ETH1 not ETH, so people will never think its ETH.

LOL. That's not true at all. Nobody has made an altcoin that "improves" BTC since Litecoin. They are mostly clones designed to siphon BTC from weak hands. Ticker is ETH1 not ETH, so people will never think its ETH.
Not the best reasoning here

Naah, most of the altcoins were created because the developers thought that one day they would be as big as Bitcoin and they would become millionaires/billionaires. Look at the domain names you used for your projects for example Ethereum official website; Your main name Tell me why no one would think this is a phishing attempt. In fact, I think your domain should be reported too.

they use slogans, tables, pictures to compare projects with each other. Or people invented altcoins without knowing about bitcoin? They coppied idea of cryptocurrency. As well there are a lot of coins with Bitcoin at start, like bitcoin gold bitcoin silver bitcoin II bitcoin III and many others, all of them are feeling good on this forum.
Its not phishing or malware, and I explained why. We are not pretending to be ethereum.org, different name, different ticker. Just check the facts before making accusations based on stereotypes. Someone can think bitcointalk is a phishing attempt because of something, but will it make it dangerous?

Responding to Albon questions: How does that make sense? Why choose a name that can easily make users believe it is related to the official Ethereum project? Its clear on website that this project is not Ethereum, the name and the ticker are different. As I said there are a lot of projects with II, 2 in the name on bitcointalk and PoW ecosystem. As I also said we are not convicing people that ETH1 is ETH. My point was not that you ask users for their Seed Phrase. It was because the project requested users to connect their wallets to an RPC controlled by you. How can users verify that this RPC is safe? Has it been audited? Is the code open source? Why should users trust an RPC operated by you across multiple new domains using the Ethereum name? This is community driven project, not VC backed, so there are no audits yet. But we have open source, you can just click on github on the website navbar and check it. Users can do own research if they want to trust it or not, it doesnt mean that I we have issues, Ethereum I is fully transparent. Multiple domains already explained, we have it because of rebranding. Your recommendation that users should use an empty wallet is a sign that you are aware that you recognize there may be a risk involved. If you truly trust your RPC security, why advise users to take this precaution? Why not provide any evidence proving the safety of your network instead of leaving users to take the risk themselves? I recommend to stay safe whatever is it, there are a big plenty of projects from bitcointalk, with custom RPC. As I said we have a source code, so users can check it of course. But for general user it might be easier to do a new wallet if they worry about security. As well we have a webwallet, so nothing to be connected, nothing to be entered. Your project is less than two months old, and all here know that real blockchain projects usually have a history, audits, public source code, and active users. Your project is still new, uses the Ethereum name in a way that can confuse users, and has not shown the same level of transparency. Because our vision is in fair launch, on bitcointalk and so on from the start. As well it is community-driven project. I think other questions are responded above too. Thanks for attention!
