Yeah, it will be strange to see clash of these teams in Europa, not Champions league. Maybe coonsidering current state of Milan, maybe it's not surprise to see their in EL, while Benfica had quite disapppointing season in domestic league. No way that I'm going to put money on Milan. Haven't checked odds, but maybe I'll put some money on BTTS.
From other games, it will be interesting to follow Sunderland return to Europe after more than 50 years. They got tough opponent for first game - AZ Alkmaar.

It’s very hard to say, “This is the favorite team” for now.However, betting on both teams to score is not a bad option because, in most of their meetings, they have a good record of scoring. Another underdog, AZ Alkmaar, are also worth considering, perhaps for a double-chance bet. AZ have been in decent form recently, with 5 wins and one draw in the Dutch Eredivisie.

I'm confident AC Milan wins this game. Ruben Amorim has shown in the last he can beat them and he will do just the same tonight with AC Milan. Did he not also beat Marco Silva last season during the Premier League Competition? He has also the experience in Europa League games like this, my prediction is that AC Milan wins.

I don't see that AZ Alkmaar getting a point out of the game. Sunderland sit as the host and I'll be backing them for the win tonight as well at home.

These days I no longer trust certain teams and Milan is one of them, giving them a win is something I wont but scoring they will do that. I'm thinking goals will rain, these Netherland teams are good at scoring goals. Milan is not a team that can hold off AZ for that long without taking in goals and neither can AZ hold off Milan from scoring, the best option for me will be goals. I see it as a high scoring match, at least four goals in the match is what I will predict, a win for either side is what I can't tell because either team is capable of winning the other. Milan is rebuilding, so I can't risk me giving them a win, at least not yet.

Benfica didn't come to mess around and they went straight ahead for their three solid points when they faced AC Milan. This is the winning level or mindset of Benfica. They humbled AC Milan in this game and one thing I would appreciate Benfica for is making sure they pin a good goal scoring chances and didn't relent, always building up and ready to reciprocate every energy that comes with it. Ac Milan was one of the team I actually think will be among the strong favorites to win this Season Europa league title alongside Juventus but watching them play against Benfica last night and losing in such manner at San Siro I think I will have to have a rethink. Ruben Amorim made a lot of changes in his starting lineup which really cost Ac Milan the game, leaving out Experienced players like Modric, Pulisic and Loftus cheek in the starting 11 was not the best idea. Although I wouldn’t say ac Milan played so badly because looking at the statistics you’ll see that they controlled the major part of the game but they couldn’t create a clear scoring opportunity for their target man Goncalo Ramos who was looking isolated and was struggling to get into scoring opportunities. I predicted both teams to score and when Benfica got their first goal early in the first half I really thought Ac Milan will be charged to get their’s back but Benfica were solid in the back resisting every efforts from Ac Milan.

Actually this is the beginning of the less fortunate to play at home to lose, not this team alone other teams have experienced it, we obviously AC Milan always experienced in the Europa League but the current era of this team is less convincing again, one more Amorin is not a good type of coach except when at Sporting CP.

of course, a solid defense is a crucial part of any team. however, when a goalkeeper is calm and self-assured it makes life easier for the defenders, knowing that a good keeper has their back if they make a mistake. Trubin is known for his composure and that likely instilled extra confidence in Benfica defenders. after all, looking at the Portuguese league matches Benfica conceded goals even against weaker teams when Soares was in goal. I don't quite understand Benfica coach decision to favor Soares in the league but Trubin has proven himself to be an excellent goalkeeper.

Ramos did not have the opportunity to prove himself in Portugal because he was in Ronaldo's shadow. It was the same at the world cup. He was in good form, but he could not prove himself. On the other hand, at Milan he has to get used to it. It is difficult when you come from PSG where you have Vitinha and the rest of the team who can set you up for a goal whenever you want. It is definitely not the same quality of teammates and he has to fight for himself and improve his current form.
